At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advice, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

1. Akash Jonathan Nandyal
” My name is Akash Jonathan, and I have been learning chess for the past five months. I really enjoy playing chess and am always keen to improve my skills and learn new strategies. I feel very happy whenever I take part in competitions because they help me challenge myself. Apart from chess, I enjoy playing football and practicing karate. These activities help me stay active and make new friends. In my free time, I also like helping my mum in the garden, where I enjoy planting flowers and taking care of the plants. I am passionate about learning new things, football and Mathematics.
Coach feedback on Akash:
” Jonathan is a brilliant student. He never misses any of his class and eager to learn new things and also whatever we learn in class he tries that in the games at home as well which has helped him improve a lot in the recent months. He has won the last two tournaments in PCA as well which shows his improvement. His critical thinking during the game also impressed me a lot. My best wishes with him moving forward”

2. Nadella Monish
” Monish Nadella is a 8 years old, studying year 3 in London. He is very interested in learning in chess and usually he will do lot of chess practice at home when during his free time. His hobbies are watching tv, playing cricket, indoor games, he is good at studies. He is participating in all tournaments. Thanks to PCA for providing this opportunity to learn.”

” What I like most about Monish is his honesty when it comes to learning. He asks questions whenever he has doubts and openly says when he has not understood a topic. He is always willing to clarify concepts and apply them during class. He remembers topics well and is eager to use what he learns in his games. Selection Criteria –June 2026:
- Regular in class and practice sessions.
- Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
- Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
- Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
- Overall – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
