At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (May 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Europe!

 

1.Ayanna Bawa

“Ayanna aged 12 lives in Glasgow, UK. She started playing chess during the pandemic and took an instant liking to it. Since starting classes with Abhishek she has continued to excel and enjoy playing chess. Outside of chess Ayanna is a keen swimmer and plays cricket for her local club side and is also a part of the senior ladies’ squad. Ayanna also Is a keen singer, having performed both solo and group performances. She loves playing the guitar and the piano”.

“Ayanna is a hardworking and passionate chess player. She tries to Practice as much as possible as she doesn’t want to miss any session. And she doesn’t want the class to be end and play more and more. It clearly shows her love and passion towards the game. I hope she will maintain the consistency in his practice and passion and will do nice in chess field”.

2.Karl Yacoub

“Karl is six years old. He likes challenges. He showed interest in chess game. So we enrolled him in your online classes. It’s been 5 months now, he likes the classes and he is making lot of progress thanks to the effort of his teacher Hardik”.

“Karl is growing with his game, he’s a quick learner and going great! He’s having learning attitude, strong imagination powers & visualization as well, I hope he’ll become a strong player soon”.

3.Wali

“Wali enjoyed chess ever since he discovered the game a few years back during his trip to Mexico. His focus on the competitive nature of the game and the strategy to think a few steps ahead made it more fun for Wali. Wali is 11 now and likes how chess connects with maths – his favorite subject! His friends call him a chess genius – a joke that will come true one day. Wali’s instructors are loving and caring which is an amazing combination”.

4.Vihaan Garg

“Vihaan was introduced to chess at an age of 6. He joined PCA after playing basic games at home with his parents. After joining PCA, chess has become a serious sport for him and he watches his moves carefully while playing. He is very comfortable with Siddharth Sir’s method of teaching. Siddharth sir very patiently listens to all alternate answers or suggestions Vihaan has in the class and points out whenever he is making mistakes. He is grooming well in Chess under Siddharth sir’s guidance. Apart from playing chess, Vihaan loves to swim and try out different activities and sports. He is good in academics and a keen learner”.

“Vihaan is confident kid who loves to play attacking chess. He always look for games and try to look to checkmate the opponent king. He can see many moves ahead in time and also is very focused in class. Very punctual and consistent in Chess”.

5.Vaishnav Sreekumar

“Vaishnav is artistic and creative by nature and he loves playing chess. He is actively participating in chess classes, practice sessions, and tournaments. The guidance that he receives from his coach Ms. Sunya Sakta in PCA Chess Academy helps him to improve his strategies. In addition to Chess, he excels in drawing and painting, playing the piano and guitar. He likes reading books like Harry Potter and aspires to write some stories too 🙂 We feel like enrolling him to Premier Chess Academy with his younger brother Vaibhav is one of the good things that have happened to him. Playing chess has improved his confidence and problem-solving skills and he is entering into the programming world too. Many thanks to Vaishnav’s tutor – Ms. Sunya for helping him to achieve this. I hope he will learn from his mistakes and keep improving his Chess skills through further guidance from Ms. Sunya and practicing in tournaments”.

Selection Criteria – May 2021: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
