At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.
Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (August 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Europe!
1. Ariana
“My daughter Ariana is 7 years old. She has been aspiring to play chess since the age of 4 when she took a chess piece into school for “show and tell” and chose the Queen piece. She always felt this is the strongest piece on the chessboard and after the fundamental training with coach Hardik she is teaching me rules and implementing her game, teaching me never to use the queen too early and to use this in real life, where to never reveal your cards too early. Over the few months, I have seen such a change in her mindset and confidence thanks to Hardik who has kept her and her classmates engaged. She thoroughly enjoys these sessions and I am pleased whilst she is over the moon to be nominated star kid of the month. This has been a difficult period with the covid pandemic but having chess in her life, her buddies, and coach Hardik has helped. I hope one day you can be further proud of Ariana in life and chess.”
Coach feedback on Ariana :
“Ariana is a smart-working chess player who enjoys every moment of learning new concepts. She is that sort of player who doesn’t mind taking risks while playing a game. She usually looks for some better variations whenever he plays any game. Ariana has patience with great enthusiasm & always has a learning attitude while playing games. I wish her very good luck for her Chess Career & Big Thanks to the parents who are always supporting her every time! “

2. Shiven
“We have 2 kids learning advanced level of chess with Siddharth. He is extremely patient with kids and teaches complicated concepts easily understandable and fun way to kids. Shiven’s passion for chess is credited to Siddharth and his ways of teaching.”
Coach feedback on Shiven :
” Shiven was, in the beginning, a slow learner, but with time he steadily improved in the game. He doesn’t get disheartened or disappointed when he loses a game, that’s his biggest strength. You will never find him sad after losing, biggest transformation came when he started playing Practice sessions. He used to lose in the beginning but after learning more concepts in theory classes and applying them in games, he got better and better in Practical play. I never saw this much transformation in any kid so fast! From slow learner to creative learner, he tries to use his creativity in every game he plays like an ambitious artist, which is setting himself apart from the rest of the field! Two takeaways from Shiven:-
1) Don’t get disappointed
2) Be creative in Chess! “

3. Angelica Gupta
“Angelica is an affable 8-year-old girl from Cambridge, UK. Along with Chess, she loves her sports like Cricket, badminton, and learning musical instruments. On observing her acumen for chess where she started playing at a very young age and to make her learn the nuances of chess professionally we enrolled her with Premier Chess Academy. She has started taking great interest in understanding the professional shades of chess and practice chess as much as she can.”
Coach feedback on Angelica :
“Angelica is a very shy girl, but she is a fast learner and the changes are visible in her recent games. She is participating in most of the practice sessions and is performing well every day, so I am extremely happy about that. She understands the new concepts, applying the new things in the games. I wish her all the best to become a better player and be successful.”
