At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (February 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

1. Asher Selvin Jayaseelan

“Asher is 10 Years old and he is studying in Gems our English high school. We as a family started playing chess at home occasionally but he was more interested towards footfall. Last year there was a school chess competition where Asher participated and lost in the first round. This event has motivated him to learn more about chess and he started watching the games online and started to understand more about chess. Couple of months back we enrolled Asher to the PCA chess academy and he started showing good results and we would like to thank his coach Mr. Afinu for spitting out his mistakes and improving his skills. Every day he plays chess online and he never missed any class since he joined the academy. Still he has a lot more to learn but we are quite confident that he will be focusing more to become a professional in chess. His other hobbies are playing football, music (playing piano) and drawing.”

Coach feedback on Asher:

“Asher is a Self-motivated and highly talented kid who loves to play chess games and solve chess puzzles. His performance in the class while solving puzzles and practicing games is outstanding. He always finds an alternate solution for different variations in each practice puzzle. His regular attendance in the practice sessions is also remarkable. He always looks forward to learning new techniques and different strategies. My best wishes to Asher. Keep improving yourself and I am sure that you will achieve more heights in the future.”
