At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Siddhanth

” Siddhanth is a fun-loving boy who loves indoor and outdoor activities. He is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction books. He is a big fan of Harry Potter and recently completed all the books in the series. He also loves to draw and paint and his drawing was selected for the school’s yearbook cover. He started playing chess recently and has taken a keen interest in solving puzzles. ‘Abhishek Sir’, as he fondly calls his coach, has really helped mold his thinking and improve his critical thinking skills. All the best to Sid in his chess journey! ”

2. Shravan Shivkumar

Shravan is an 8.5-year-old going-on-80, boisterous and mischievous third grader! His interests include tennis, video games, reading, art, origami, Lego and playing endlessly with his friends and cousins! His chess journey began as a way to improve his focus and attention, but it soon became an obsession! He enjoys playing the game and has consistently been improving because of his wonderfully patient coach, Aaryan Kapoor. He is extremely motivated by PCA (Lichess) tournaments and makes sincere efforts to rise up the rating ladder. He looks forward to becoming better at the sport in the months and years to come! “

3. Adiraj Chougule

Adi is eleven years old and playing chess is one of his most favorite hobbies. He also likes to play the piano, swim,read books, play soccer and play basketball. When Adi was young he loved to see the pieces on the chess board move, but he didn’t know how to play it all. We recognized his love for chess and enrolled him in PCA academy. Thanks to the people at PCA academy he is now tenfold better then he was before. “

Adi loves playing chess against his friends in class and is very passionate while playing. Adi is a good learner who tries to grasp all the topics which are covered in the class with full dedication and then tries to implement them in his practice sessions. 4. Eeswar Prathipati

Eeswar Prathipati is 9 years old, 4th grader and resides in Phoenix, Arizona. He is always a happy and enthusiastic kid. He enjoys playing chess, legos, rubik’s cube and making origami. Chess was introduced to him by his grandfather and he loves to play with him. Initially, he felt so upset to play games, but over time he gained self confidence and drained his fear. Eventually he started winning the chess games. Thank you PCA and special mention to Eeswar’s coach Mr. Abhinandan Ganguly. We wish him good luck for his future.”

5. Janya Boggarappu

Janya Boggarappu is about to start 6th grade and lives in Texas. She joined Premier chess Academy about  3 months ago. She learned many different techniques from her classes. As she kept on playing tournaments she learned to manage time better for the game. Janya loves to solve Rubik’s cubes and do Art-Painting and sketching in her free time . As parents we are thankful to her coach Srinidhi. “

6. Aarav Rajkumar

Aarav is a five-year-old kid beginning Kindergarten this fall and lives in Prosper, Texas. He sparked an interest in Chess from his friends and has developed his fundamentals after joining PCA. Thanks to his coach Mr. Abhishek Patil, he enjoys learning new concepts and solving puzzles and games. He loves playing in weekend tournaments. Besides Chess, he likes to play soccer, swim, and play with his friends.”

7. Tiara Padhy

Tiara is 8 yrs old and lives in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a social butterfly  who loves to talk to people. She makes friends very easily and always comes with a big smile on her face. She loves playing the Piano, reading fiction books and writes really well. She started her journey in chess with PCA team and all thanks to Anish (her coach) for encouraging her and guiding her throughout the classes. She loves playing chess and learning new techniques and using those techniques everyday in her practice sessions. “

8. Tejas Girish 

” Tejas is 6 years old, and is a fun loving, high energy kid who enjoys playing outdoors, reading stories and of course, Chess. He started out on chess one and a half years back and likes to play chess tournaments. Thanks to coach Arya for his chess knowledge and lively class. ”

9. Veer Nanda

Veer is a very calm, disciplined, friendly, and caring teenager. Besides the love for Chess, Veer has a deep interest in coding, robotics, and Tabla. He loves to challenge himself in all these areas. He also loves to help others. As an 8th grader, he founded the first Chess club at his school in Pleasanton and successfully ran it as a president during its just concluded first year. Veer aspires to be the GM sometimes in the future with the help of his teachers and mentors. “

Veer is a calm and composed sort of kid who silently gets the work done within the required time. At such a young age, his keenness to accept challenges and push his limits is really praise worthy. He is a very hard working, sincere and disciplined person who usually doesn’t miss out on any theory session. As a mentor when I observe Veer madness for Chess it really motivates me a lot and his work ethics is also another thing which I would like to copy. His performance in the classes, and his results in practice sessions are really remarkable. The way he has made progress and broken into 1200+ USCF Rating and 2100+ lichess rating in recent times gives proof that he is not only a quick learner but also someone who accepts failure in a positive way and try to learn from it. His approach towards handling the problem and the friendliness with which he helps out his batch mates is really admirable. He also has age on his side and I do believe with proper training and encouragement he will achieve a lot in future. As a coach I feel quite privileged to have Veer as my student. 10. Rishi Tanwar

My name is Rishi Tanwar. I’m 10 years old and I’m going to be in 5th grade at Rondo school of discovery, in Eastvale, California. I love learning at school. My favorite subjects are history and mathematics. I like to play Roblox with my friends. My favorite sports are soccer and basketball. I like to draw (geography) maps.  I like to play chess with my grandmother as well as on Lichess. I am learning piano as well. My coach Bhaskar Sir is amazing in teaching variations and analyzing chess games. He coaches me to win in chess matches. I am very happy to be in his class at PCA. “

11. Rian Raja

Rian is 9 years old and entering 5th grade this fall. Rian has been playing chess for a few years now and chess became his favorite competitive games/sport. We discovered PCA earlier this year and Rian has been loving the classes with Coach Hardik Khurana. “

12. Khushi aggarwal

” Khushi is 6 years old and has just completed her 1st grade. Khushi has developed a huge liking for chess and all the credit goes to her coach Ms Harshita who has been able to help Khushi improve her game significantly. Also Khushi loves to dance and spend time with her family. She is now working towards improving her game further and with continued guidance from her coach, Khushi will be able to score in professional competitions. ”

13. Avi Chauhan

Avi is a rising 4th grader from California.  He is a voracious reader and enjoys many fictional series. He is a fun loving boy who spends his weekend hiking with family, playing with his dog and loves eating cheeseburgers. Avi has been playing chess for over a year now and enjoys competing and winning. He looks forward to his chess class with Jeet sir who does a great job encouraging and mentoring Avi in different ways. “

Anirudh Kande is a 11-year-old, studying in 6th grade in Brampton, Canada. He has been playing chess for the past 1 year and shows a lot of interest in the game after joining the PCA. 17. Charith Nimmagadda

Charith is an inquisitive 9 years old from Portland, Oregon. He is an avid reader who would read anything … books, manuals, dictionary, directory you name it. One day while reading a book about lord Krishna, he came across the word chaturanga and he was intrigued to know what this game was. A good friend referred to PCA and that started his journey into Chess. He is not only learning to play the game but also mastering concentration, analytical skills and most importantly how to take defeat and learn more from it. All thanks to his coach Mr. Narendiran who is passionate about chess and shows utmost patience towards the kids. Outside books and chess, Charith is a black belt taekwondo holder, Rubik’s cube enthusiast and a budding Carnatic classical singer. If you ever need to meet Charith try catching him before he boards Hogwarts express at platform 9 and 3 quarters. “

18. Johan Jinto

Johan is a 9 years old  4th grader. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona. He enjoys playing chess and loves swimming too. Johan joined PCA a few months ago and improved a lot after that. Amruth Sai Reddy is a 7 years old from Irving, Texas. He has become hugely interested in Chess. He is always looking forward to attending the classes and training sessions. 21. Thaman

Thaman is a 7 years old boy and lives in Folsom, California, USA.  He is a 1st grader. He is very enthusiastic and a quick learner. We enrolled him in Premier Chess Academy last winter but now he has developed so much interest over the time. Big thanks to Coach Prabhat and PCA. He learnt a lot of strategic moves from coach Prabhat and we have noticed a tremendous improvement in his way of playing chess. He is very eager to attend every class with Prabhat to learn new techniques in chess and improve his game day by day. Besides playing chess he likes Roblox ,Minecraft, Cricket and playing with his friends.”

Viyaan is a 9 year old going into 4th grade this year! Viyaan started chess during covid times in 2020 and he loved having his chess class since then. Viyaan loves his chess teacher Prajwal Gupta very much! Viyaan enjoys swimming, soccer, reading and coding besides chess. Viyaan recently got into Karting and he is recently doing pacific northwest regional kart race. He has won 3rd place in regional race 3x so far. “

23. Tanush Porandla

Parent feedback: Tanush is a 6-year-old kid and a 1st grader. Tanush is a hyper-active and at the same time very sensitive kid.He is been learning Chess since Feb this year and recently promoted to advanced beginner classes. Revansh is a 5-year-old, lives in Columbus Indiana. He really enjoys playing chess, watching chess videos on YouTube, reading books, and drawing. 25. Anika Kotwale

Anika is an 8year old, fun loving girl from Charlotte. She is a 4th grader and loves going to school and making friends. She is an avid reader and fond of doing Art. She loves India and developed an interest in playing Chess, when she got to know that, Chess originated in India. She started playing at the age of 6 with her mom. 26. Gopichandana

Gopichandana Tatiguntla is her full name, she is 11 years old living in Rocky hill, CT. Completed 5th grade and eagerly waiting to go to 6th grade and into middle school. 27. Dheeraj Tanaji

Dheeraj is a nine-year-old who is in 4th grade and lives in Redmond, Washington. He has been playing Chess since he was six years old. His favorite hobbies are playing with Legos, video games and of course Chess! Besides Chess he loves to play Piano, Guitar, Soccer and Swimming. This year he hopes to improve his game and ratings further and win a couple of tournaments. 28. Saai Neehhar Cheboyina

Neehhar is 6 years old, lives in Mountain House, California and is in first grade. He enjoys playing sports like cricket and chess with his friends. He is a quick learner and showed a lot of interest in chess when we were playing at home. So we enrolled him into PCA academy. His coach, Shekhar Raha changed Neehar’s game with his excellent coaching. We appreciate him for helping Neehhar to improve his skills and winning almost all the tournaments in a row. Nithila is 8 years old and living in Dallas, Texas. She is a very friendly and kind person .She joined the chess classes a few months before . Gautham is 10 years old, going to study in 5th grade and lives in Wilmington, Delaware. He is very much interested in solving complex chess puzzles. 33. Shreya Srinivas

Shreya is a bright 8 year old who joined PCA about 1 year ago.  She has very sound reasoning and analytical skills and has taken to Chess very well. Her teacher Mr.Tushar has been fantastic in shaping her moves and the reasoning and thought behind every move she makes. She loves Chess now and beats a lot of our family members and friends at it. She also loves art – is very adept at drawing and creating art figures. She recently drew up and colored the entire Mario Game characters and their moves – she’s very good at video games – she plays Mario and Astros and aces in them. She also loves swimming/piano and dancing. All three of which she performs very well .. she’s a self taught pianist and loves learning them on her own from an app and is getting quite good at it. “

34. Agastya

Agastya is a well-disciplined 8-year-old, looking forward to being in 3rd grade. He is very good at drawing. He loves reading fictional books and creates picture books for his 1-year old baby sister. He also loves playing with his friends, biking and going on hikes with family He has been learning chess for a year and half. He joined PCA in Jun 2022 and see lot of improvement in his playing techniques. Thanks to the coach Utkarsh Gupta for making chess interesting for him. His favorite part about chess is Antichess. Mokshith is a 10  years old, studying in 5th grade. He started learning chess about a few months ago and has improved a lot after joining PCA. Coach Mr. Viswanath has provided him confidence that he loves to challenge advanced trained kids, father and neighborhood  on chess. Charvik Siddharth is a 3rd Grader who loves drawing dinosaurs. He has a strong passion for Chess. He enjoys playing with Legos, Singing songs and reading books. Krisha is 7 years old and lives in Toronto, Canada. She is a trilingual who can easily converse in English, Hindi and French. She is so fond of books that she can spend the whole day reading books.
