At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (October 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Satyabrata S Bharata

Satyabrata S Bharata is completing 7 years on 19th November 2022. He is a student of class 2 and studying at Delhi Public School, Duliajan. He loves to play games. He has a liking for mathematics. He has a sister who is also his best friend and with whom he likes to spend most of his time. Chess is one of his passions. His love for chess began when he was 5 years old and with the passing of years, he has grown more interested in the game. He loves to play football and badminton. This year he joined Premier Chess Academy (PCA) with Mr. Abhishek Patil as his mentor.  With Abhishek Sir, he has been able to develop his moves and learn the game faster.  After joining PCA he has improved his game tremendously. Satyabrata hopes to continue his love for the game and further develop his skill. “

2. Yuvaan Deepak

Yuvaan Deepak is an 8-year-old boy born in Chennai. He is studying in class 3rd. He is very much interested in playing chess. He has been playing chess for the past 5 months with Premier Chess Academy. He is making good progress in learning, chess and playing different tournaments. He is also very good at maths and science. He has a YouTube channel UV Fun and Maths. Currently, he lives in Nagpur and does his schooling there. In the future, he wants to become a maths Pro and a professional chess player. His coach Mr. Adarsh Kumar keeps helping him to prepare for his chess tournament and takes his online classes. “

3. K. Rishanth

” Rishanth, 9 years old studying in V standard in Thiruvallur. His hobbies are watching TV for playing games like Minecraft and Roblox, Spider-Man movies, and also for cartoons like Doraemon, Ninja Hattori, and Paw patrol rescue. He likes fantasy and so he creates his fantasy world and plays with those creatures often. He loves playing chess and badminton and also has an interest in dance, and mechanical and computer engineering. He is more fond of a fight like karate. He has cultivated an interest in developing his vocabulary skills and other language skills as well. He joined his chess coaching in his 7 years in Chennai, but unfortunately was unable to continue long. Hence took a break and found a more interactive coaching class for chess and discovered PCA, his coach’s name is Ankush Bhardwaj. Now he has developed more interest in chess and also learned tactical skills and techniques with his coaching classes. More proud of his growth and development in extracurricular activities. I love, he should become a world champion in chess and for that, expecting a good initiative and response in the upcoming PCA Olympiad tournament. Hoping for the best. ”

4. Viaan Sharma

Viaan means Joy of Life and that’s what he is for us. Viaan is a sharp-minded and passionate 8 years old lad. He has 2 passions- Chess and Cricket and he is mad about both. We always pray to the almighty to give him success in his passions and both his personal as well as professional life.”

5. Laviesh Jain

Laviesh Jain is a 10-year-old studying in grade 6. He is from Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh. He is very active in sports and games. He always waits for the tournament to start. Even if he is travelling, he still wants to attend the class and never wants to miss the chess classes. I thank Anshul sir for his dedication. After joining PCA his interest has increased a lot. Thanks to PCA for providing an online platform for kids like ours who live in very small places where we don’t have any coaching centres. “

6. Akshaj

Akshaj is 5 years old. His favorite subject has been Math since childhood. He enjoys playing with numbers. In his free time, he loves doing math calculations in his head and keeps asking us several questions. He enjoys playing math puzzles also. He has a good imagination. While playing, he always creates his imaginary world and loves living in that world often. His favorite PC game is Minecraft. He is pretty funny and loves acting a lot. He is a happy, sincere, sensitive and emotional child. He is very fond of toy cars and guns. He loves several indoor games out of which chess has become his favorite. When he was just 4 years old, he played with his elder sister 2-3 times and understood the very basic concept of chess that surprised us. He joined PCA two months back only and he is enjoying his learning. We too are highly satisfied with the academy! His coach Ashish Pattnaik’s effort and dedication are highly appreciated! Under his guidance, he has learned a lot in the last two months despite his frequent illness. We are happy to associate with PCA and would love to carry forward Akshaj’s learning. 7. Mishika Agarwal

Mishika Agarwal. She is in class 5 at Lamartiniere school of girls in Kolkata. She is a 10 years old girl child very soft by nature, talks very limited when in a group and has limited friends. In academics she is good but her handwriting and spelling are too poor that she should improve. Her favorite subjects are maths and science. She also loves dancing. She loves chess like anything.”

8. Rohan Das

Rohan is an 8-year-old boy from Mumbai, studying in 3rd grade at Billabong High International School. At the age of 5, he showed his interest in chess. He knew basic moves and how to play a game. We are observing quite an improvement after Rohan joined PCA in September 2022. He is learning it in a very structured way. We are thankful to PCA and his coach, Girish Reddy Sir. Girish Sir pays individual attention to all the kids and he is really helpful all the time. Apart from chess, Rohan loves swimming and reading lots of books. He is learning French and loves the language. He has consistently been a top ranker in NELTAS and Olympiad exams. He loves exploring maths and science topics way beyond his age. “

9. Aarav Reddy

Aarav is a 6year old bright grade 1 student of Gitanjalidevakul school, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. He is good at his academics and won medals in LogIQ, Kumon. He loves Dancing, playing Chess, Carrom, Monopoly, Uno, and outdoor games like Football, Cricket, and Shuttle. Aarav started playing chess with his grandfather and was well acquainted with the chess board, its pieces, and moves at the age of 5 and as he turned 6, he started learning chess from PCA. Now he loves playing chess with better knowledge of the moves and corrects others as well. Our sincere gratitude and thanks to Kumar Raunak sir for his patience and dedication toward these kids. He enjoys playing chess and desires to take it to the next level with help and guidance from PCA.”

10. Manya

Manya is a very intelligent girl. She is studying in class 7 at DPS Greater Noida. She has done a lot in such a less time. She gives a proper amount of time to each move in chess. She is right now under Mr. Kunal Kumar. She has improved her puzzle and playing skills, all thanks to Kunal Kumar sir. “

11. Shriram

12. Pratyush Kulkarni

Pratyush is a 9 years old boy & currently studying in IV std. He started playing chess with his Grandfather during the Covid lockdown period. Thereafter, he regularly started playing chess and learned game strategies. To professionally learn this game, he joined PCA in April 2022 under the coaching of Mr. Nihal Mulla Sir who formally educated him on the required skills. Pratyush participated in different inter school chess competitions which helped him to get confidence and exposure to play in offline as well as online chess competitions. Other than chess, Pratyush likes to play cricket & carrom and enjoys watching all the sports. In school, he likes to participate in various sports events. 13. Ekansh Chugh

Ekansh is 8 years old and is studying in class 3 at Venkateshwara International School in Delhi. He is very passionate about sports, especially cricket and chess. He joined PCA around 5 months back and at the time of joining, he had a basic knowledge of the chess pieces. During these 5 months, he has learned new moves and his game is improving day by day. Ekansh enjoys his practice sessions and is always eager for the class to start. He is an obedient and attentive child. Once he is back from school, he quickly finishes his lunch and starts to play chess games or puzzles. We sincerely thank Piyush Snehi sir for his efforts, patience, and continuous encouragement to Ekansh for improving his game.”

14. Mahonnath Vennam

Mahonnath Vennam is studying 2nd class at Pallavi international school at Keesara in Hyderabad. He was 6years old. We started at age 5 chess learning. But he was enthusiastic day by day in chess. So we decided to join PCA with Prabhat Kumar’s guidance. He was very developing and thoroughly learning with Prabhat Kumar’s guidance. 15. Rishabh Roshan Karkera

He is 11 year old and a voracious reader. Grade 6th, Home-schooling child. Chess has been his first love of sports. Been playing on since 4 yrs. of age on his own. We are glad that we found PCA. 16. Rishikesh S

Rishi is a very enthusiastic boy from Alleppey, Kerala. He is 6 years of age and is studying in 1st grade.  He developed an interest in Chess at 4 years of age. He joined PCA 4 months back and since then he has improved a lot in his games as well as his character. He loves to play cricket and enjoys singing songs. 18. Achha Aishwarya Shruthika

Aishwarya is 11 years old and studies in grade five at Delhi Public School Hyderabad, India. She started playing chess with PCA in February 2021. She loves playing chess, solving Rubik’s cubes, and reading books. I am very happy to see her progress so far in chess under her coach’s guidance. 19. Arham Singla

Classes with Mr. Sushant have been so worthwhile. Arham has learned so much in his classes. His manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing. He is very supportive but really knows how to motivate his students. I would highly recommend it.”

20. Yash Mangesh Raodeo

Yash is 9 years old and studying in 4th std at Poddar international school, Pune. Yash got an interest in chess 2 years back and started playing the same. Due to the pandemic, he didn’t get a chance to learn chess professionally. He joined PCA in June and since then he has been loving to play chess. He tries to implement techniques that are taught by Tushar sir. Yash also loves to skate and practice regularly. He is an avid cuber and loves to solve Rubik’s cube. He has a different collection of cubes and has solved them all. He is the district roll ball champion too and recently started to learn piano. Yash is also doing great in his studies and has won medals of distinction for different Olympiad exams(NSO, IMO, IGKO, NCO). Yash is a great learner and is always keen to learn new things. I hope with PCA he will get a deeper interest in and knowledge of chess. Thank you Tushar sir for your guidance and coaching. I wish him the best of luck and hope he rises to the top. “

  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
