At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (August 2023) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

1. Ayan Ahmed Salam

Ayan is a 10-year-old from New Delhi, India , living in Oman. He is an enthusiastic boy and Math is his favorite subject. He enjoys playing cricket. From the age of 6 he started playing chess. Currently, He play inter-school chess representing his grade. His hobby is singing as well.”

Ayan is an intelligent, focused, and calm boy. He gives maximum attention during the sessions. He is very consistent in practice tournaments. He is exceptional in applying the concepts that he learns during the class in his games. He is very active in class and responds perfectly whenever asked anything. He never missed any session. His efforts towards chess at such a small age are truly remarkable. I am glad to have Ayan as my student and I wish him success in Chess and life as well. God bless him. “

2. Garv Daga

It’s wonderful that Garv, a 6-year-old Indian residing at Doha, Qatar developed interest in chess! (Thanks Mukund). At this age, it was important to focus on encouraging his curiosity and understanding of the game and it’s been 6 months where Shriram sir has kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable for Garv by patiently answering all his questions which further fostered his love for the game. He never wants to miss his chess sessions and has been practicing on his Lichess log in and I must say he has started loving it. Garv also has keen interest in playing football. “

Selection Criteria – August 2023:

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
