FORMAT:-

Have you ever wondered how the Format of the Chess Olympiad works? Let’s break it down!♙

The Chess Olympiad is not just any chess tournament; it’s a team event! 🏆 Unlike the usual individual chess matches, this is all about teamwork and strategy.”

Each team has 5 players – 4 playing and 1 reserve.
There are 4 boards; to win a match, a team must score more than half the points, which is 2.5 out of 4.

“If a team wins, they get 2 points. If it’s a draw, they get 1 point. Simple, right?

The entire tournament is played in a Swiss format over 11 rounds. Teams that win get paired against other winning teams, while teams that lose face other teams that also fail. It’s a battle of the best!
