I´D HOPE THAT WITH TIME MY CHILD TRANSITIONS TO PROFESSIONAL CHESS?
Yes! Our courses are designed to help your child progressively improve their skill and performance as a Chess player. The Grandmaster course is designed to nurture pro players.
WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS NO PRIOR EXPOSURE TO CHESS?
The trial class is designed to help the Coach determine your child’s skill level, learning style, and level of interest. If the Coach determines that your child is a beginner, then he/she will be placed in an appropriate class.
I WANT TO ENROLL MY KID INTO PREMIER CHESS ACADEMY; WHERE DO I START?
Follow these quick steps:
- Complete the enrollment form – https://premierchessacademy.com/trial-class-enrollment/
- Our team will contact you to schedule a trial class. What you can expect in trial class – https://premierchessacademy.com/services
- Once you complete the trial class, based on Coach’s evaluation – we will contact you to understand your interest in enrolling your child for a chess class.
- Your child’s instructor will be the Coach that handled your child’s trial class.
- Once you are good to go with the timing and other considerations, we will send you the enrollment confirmation email and invoice. We will ask you to make the payment to a bank account in India.
WILL MY CHILD RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE UPON COMPLETION OF A LEVEL?
Yes! The Coach will administer an assessment test to gauge understanding concepts before promoting your child to the next level. Upon qualification, your child will earn a Premier Chess Academy, USA certification that will be sent to your email.
HOW DO YOU CONDUCT PRACTICE SESSIONS/TOURNAMENT?
We use the 3rd party secure and safe platform – https://lichess.org/ to conduct practice sessions/tournaments.
As a prerequisite, you will need to register in lichess with your email ID and a password. The instructor will send a practice/tournament link to log in with your credentials to join.
WHY IS YOUR INVOICE IN USD FOR FOREIGN COUNTRIES?
It is easier to have all our clients pay in a single currency, and we chose USD since we’re headquartered in the USA. Furthermore, USD is the most popular currency in the world today, and it is universally accepted.
We have also option to bill you in middle east country currencies, talk to your Sales coordinator on your choice.
HOW MANY KIDS ARE IN EACH CLASS?
From research and our personal experience, we understand children learn new concepts better in groups rather than in individual sessions. Groups allow kids to learn from each other and provide opportunities to socialize and build friendships.
The size per class will vary, and the Sales coordinator will give you the details once the trial class is over and are interested in enrolling.
HOW LONG WILL MY CHILD HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR ACCOUNT AND CONTACT THE COACH FOR SUPPORT?
As long as your subscription is up to date, you will always have access to the classes and the Coach. The Coach will share the class schedule and relevant information on how to reach him/her for questions with you.
WHAT SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS, IF ANY, DO YOU GIVE TO THE KIDS TO HELP THEM LEARN?
We refer you to buy a book and also provide assignments created exclusively by Premier Chess Academy, USA.
WHY AM I SEEING CHILDREN OF DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS IN MY CHILD’S CLASS?
At Premier Chess Academy, we organize classes not based on age but based on the level of understanding. We assign classes and group kids according to the Coach’s evaluation during the trial classes. HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE CLASS DETAILS AND UPCOMING PRACTICE/TOURNAMENTS?
Once you are enrolled in a class, we will assign you to a WhatsApp group which is strictly used for communicating class matters, practice sessions, assignments, etc.
HOW IS THE CURRICULUM STRUCTURED AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY KIDS TO GET TO THE NEXT LEVEL?
It depends on the kids. We don’t push kids to move levels but rather look at their passion and support them so they can excel in Chess. However, we have put in a tentative duration of the course and you can find it here. https://premierchessacademy.com/curriculum
WHAT ARE THE FEES AND CAN I GET A DISCOUNT?
Our fees are based on your kids’ entry level (beginner, intermediate, or Grandmaster) and your residence country. We will arrange a trial class for you. After the trial class, based on Coach’s evaluation we will put your kid into the respective level & communicate to you the fees and any other relevant information.
Sibling Discount: We offer a sibling discount of 10-15%, depending on the country. Only applicable for group classess of 5 kids. Not for 1:1 or custom groups.
Referral fees: We offer a 10-15% referral fee for you when you refer a friend, and they join & make their first month pay.
Outside of the above scenarios, our price is one and the same for all. We are sorry that we won’t accommodate your request; however we want to ensure that your kid is getting trained by the world’s best FIDE rated instructors that will transform your kids into the world of Chess.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU INVOICE? MONTHLY OR QUARTERLY?
We want to give flexibility to the parents by giving them an option to pay monthly or quarterly. However, the default pay period is monthly. The sales representative sends out invoices due on the 15th of every month.
If we don’t receive your payments on time, we will send you reminders through your preferred mode of communication. However, should you still not honor an invoice after the 15, we will be forced to deactivate your account.
