Welcome to Premier Chess Academy, USA Memorial Cup – Final information page. Qualification event was conducted on Saturday May 21st, 2022 with over 800+ kids participated from various categories and now we are over to Finals! Congratulations to all of the kids who participated in the events and make it a grand success.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- As communicated in Qualification Round, only top 2 players from each category made it to Final.
- Finalists are already contacted & added in respective Lichess teams by coaches.
KEY DATES OF FINALS
- CATEGORY 1 :- BEGINNER & ADVANCED BEGINNER:– JUNE 04th, 2022 at 9:30AM PT or 12:30PM ET
- CATEGORY 2 :- INTERMEDIATE-1 & INTERMEDIATE-2:– JUNE 04th, 2022 at 9:30AM PT or 12:30PM ET
- On the day of event, kids of both categories 1 & 2 will have to join given zoom meeting & games will be managed by zoom breakout rooms:

RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT & PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
Prize Distribution will be conducted on June 11th, 2022 at 04:30 pm PT/07:30 pm ET.
ACTION REQUIRED – BEFORE THURSDAY, JUNE 02nd, 2022
- Your coach will ensure to add the kids into the final team by June 02nd, 2022. Parents are requested to check whether kids are added in Final Team or not. (Team Name :- PCA Memorial Cup Final)
- Finalists ask the coach for the zoom password.
- All selected players are added in respective Final Lichess Teams. In case of concern, please contact your coach or Swapnil Raj (swapnil@premierchessacademy.com) by Thursday, June 02nd, 2022.
PRE-REQUISITE FOR GAMES
- Ensure you are using “chrome” browser. Set your Google Chrome Browser as Default Browser (Go to your Control Panel →All Control Panel Items →Default Browsers →Set your default program →Web browser → Google Chrome)
- Login to Lichess and save password in chrome. So no need to enter password again.
- Go to your Lichess →Preferences →Game Behaviors →Pre-moves →No and Promote to Queen → Never
TOURNAMENT RULES
- Each kid will be using same Lichess id that he/she used in Qualification Round. If in case your id got flagged by Lichess, the kid will be disqualified.
- Kids can play in only 1 category.
- Illegal Activities: Taking any help from a book, device, or person is strictly prohibited. If any player found doing so will be disqualified from the event.
- Zoom Monitoring: 1) Players has to join zoom meeting 30 minutes before start of the round. 2) Players has to keep their video on and audio off, till the end of the round. Video will be recorded to analyze for anti-cheating purposes, keeping the video on is mandatory.
- Anti-Cheating: Use of external assistance is not allowed. All the games will be thoroughly analyzed for anti-cheating purposes. If any player founds using an engine will be disqualified.
- Pairing will be done by lichess website automatically.
- All kids need to login into lichess website and save password before start of the tournament.
- Number of Rounds :- 06 in Category 1 & 05 in Category 2
- Time Control- 10 Minutes + 2 second increment from move first for both categories
- Walkover Time: 10 minutes
- Spectators: Spectators are not allowed in playing arena. Parents, Teachers, Coaches, Managers are all spectators and they are not allowed in playing room.
- Lichess standings will be considered to declare Champion.
- A player is allowed to use only one Lichess Account throughout the tenure of the league.
- Disqualification: If any player conceals his identity (different identity) or misbehaves with arbiters, players and organizer will be expelled from the event without any prior notice.

- Participation for this event is voluntary for kids and parents. By participating in the event, the parent/kid agrees to the terms and conditions put forth by Premier Chess Academy Corporation, USA.
- No bias will be involved as the winner will be declared with the tournaments links.
- Premier Chess Academy currently uses Lichess platform for tournaments and won’t take any responsibility for platform related ranking or issues.
- Premier Chess Academy reserves the right to cancel the event due to any reasons if decided by the management.
- Premier Chess Academy won’t take any responsibility for any legal issues coming out of this promotional events.
