At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advice, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (April 2026) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

1. Joel Princy Darwin

” Joel is a 12-year-old 9th grader. He used to play chess for fun until his parents thought of making him attend chess classes to improve his chess as he had just become chess champion for his category at his school. Once he started going for chess classes, he started to really like chess. He used to play chess a lot in his free time. Besides chess, he enjoys karate, football, swimming, table tennis, badminton etc. We would like to thank his coach a lot for assisting him in achieving this milestone.”

Coach feedback on Joel:

” JOEL is a brilliant kid. He is very hardworking and never misses his classes. At such a young age his attitude towards learning new things is just commendable. And the best part is the way he solves puzzles using the strategies and then apply those in games is just amazing to watch. I feel privileged to have Joel as my student. My best wishes are with Joel.”

2. Ameya Abhijeet Ashtekar

” Ameya began learning chess about a year ago, and over time his interest in the game has grown steadily. Living in the UAE, he was gradually exposed to the game more and more, which helped him build a stronger connection with it and deepen his enthusiasm. What started as an initial curiosity soon became a meaningful interest, as he began appreciating the focus, strategy, and discipline that chess develops. He later joined his school’s chess club, where he has been actively participating and continues to do well. His involvement in the club has helped him further strengthen his skills, gain confidence, and enjoy the game in a more structured and engaging environment. It has been wonderful to see his passion for chess develop gradually and naturally over time.”

Coach feedback on Ameya:

“Ameya is a very curious boy who enjoys every moment of learning new concepts. Starting he was learning slowly but after informing him of his mistake he focused and improved then he learned fast and good things he never gave up. He is very punctual in class and joins every class on time. He used to participate in practice sessions with great efforts & always has a learning attitude while playing games. I wish him very good luck for his Chess Career and keep it up…Keep it up Ameya!
