At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advice, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (July 2025) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

1. Aaranyak Satheesh

Aaranyak, a 13-year-old student at Bhavans Kuwait, discovered his passion for chess the moment he first laid eyes on the board—and that spark has only grown stronger since. Guided by his coach, Mr. Kunal, Aaranyak has made impressive progress, developing both his tactical understanding and strategic thinking. What stands out most is his excitement for learning; at school, he often shares newly learned tactics with his friends and enjoys teaching them different strategies. His love for the game is evident not just in victories, but in how he handles setbacks—with maturity, resilience, and a learner’s mindset. Chess has instilled in him greater focus, patience, and discipline. With such dedication and enthusiasm, Aaranyak is well on his way to becoming a truly strong player.”

Coach feedback on Aaranyak:

” Aaranyak Satheesh is a dedicated and smart-working young chess enthusiast who truly enjoys the process of learning and growing with each game. He approaches every class with a positive mindset and brings great energy to practice sessions. Confident and composed, Aaranyak isn’t afraid to take bold decisions on the board, and what sets him apart is his ability to learn from both his wins and losses. He embraces challenges with determination and shows a constant eagerness to improve his skills. His curiosity about chess concepts—whether tactical tricks or positional play—is inspiring, and he always seeks to understand the deeper ideas behind each move. With such commitment and love for the game, Aaranyak has a bright chess future ahead. Keep it up, Aaranyak!

2. Aavani Brailey

” Aavani Brailey began playing chess at the young of seven. After participating in a district-level tournament last year, her interest deepened, and she decided to pursue the game more seriously by enrolling in professional coaching. Since then, her passion for chess has only grown under the guidance of her dedicated coach, Jeet Singh. Naturally strategic, curious, and thoughtful in her planning, Aavani is always eager for a new challenge on the chessboard.”

Coach feedback on Aavani:

” Aavani is a quick learner who learns the concepts well & tries to implement them in her games. Good thing she didn’t leave the game or didn’t give up and this is a very good thing, and she always played till the end of the game. She learns from her mistakes & is always ready for any challenge coming her way. She used to participate in practice sessions with great effort & always has a positive mindset while playing games. I wish her very good luck for her Chess Career and keep it up … Keep it up Aavani !!
