At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted the below students. Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (April 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, USA!

1. Rishi Grandhi

“Rishi is 10 years old 4th grader. He is active, cheerful and energetic boy. Rishi started learning chess in his fourth grade and fell in love with it. Besides chess he loves solving math problems, practicing taekwondo, swimming, skating, soccer, biking and playing with his younger brother, Abhinav. He enjoys travel and exploring new things. He prefers to spend time with family and friends. He also likes to play Xbox video games, Roblox with his friends. We thank to his great coach, Abhishek for guiding Rishi”.

2. Veer Sanghavi

“Veer is a 4th grader from Maine who is passionate about chess, coding and music. He is disciplined in his approach and tries hard to never miss his commitments. In his free time he loves to play soccer and games with his friends. He wants to be a Builder who builds SkyScrapers when he grows up. Veer is learning a lot at PCA under Aabhas Sir’s guidance. His favorite part is playing simul with his teacher and winning games in tournaments”.

“Veer is a fun loving kid. He is consistently working to improve his performance in the classes and in practice sessions. Veer has improved a lot and now has a quiet serious approach towards the game. He tries his best to learn from his every single game, be it a victory or defeat. His hard working attitude had surely given him good results and if he continues with the same approach then I am sure that Veer will have an amazing chess career ahead. Best of luck Veer!”

3. Darsh Gupta

“Darsh is a 7 year old boy  from Washington DC area, studying in first grade. He loves playing chess. He is very inquisitive and determined and is really passionate to learn new things. He was introduced to chess last year by his father. His aunt told us about Premier Chess Academy and we decided to enroll him. Since then his desire to learn chess has increased manifold, all thanks to his instructor Mr. Rajat Malik. Apart from chess he likes to watch and play cricket, movies and read books”.

“Darsh is doing Excellent despite he is only 7 years old! In Chess always try to put efforts in winning. Darsh is so much Curious to learn more and more in chess. 4. Aravindkrishna Arivudainambi

“Aravind is in 7th Grade. He lives in California. He loves Chess, solving Rubics Cubes & drawing. He is always ready to learn new things & is good listener. He learned the basics of Chess in 2nd Grade. Our family friend told us about Premier Chess Academy. He enjoys Swapnil Sir Chess Class. Thank You Swapnil sir for teaching Chess to Aravind”.

5. Saatvik Tallah

“Saatvik is 10 yrs. old and currently lives in Virginia. He got interested in chess when his dad started to teach him at the age of 6. He started to go to PCA in March 2021 and picked up tactics from his teacher, Mr. Ravikant. Saatvik tends to try and play traps on his opponents.  His other hobbies include playing games, reading, and swimming. A big thank you to Mr. Ravi kant for supporting and taking the time to teach him”.

6. Rishabh Das

“Rishabh is 9 years old and lives in South Brunswick, New Jersey. He started to get interested in chess about a year ago by seeing his sister and dad play. Apart from his recent past time of doing Lichess chess tactical puzzles, he also loves Lego, Soccer and Piano. He believes that chess has made him more patient and a better thinker. He loves to be in the Top 3 of the tournaments. Many thanks to PCA &Tushar Sir for encouraging him to play and helping him develop his games of chess”.

“Rishabh is very patient kid. He always tries to give his best in the class as well as in the Practice session. He has a good understanding of chess concepts taught so far is in sessions and While playing a game he gives full efforts to win it and makes smart decisions, He likes to learn something new always that’s makes him multi-talented kid. 7. Rithwik R Edulakanti

“Rithwik is in 5th grade and he lives in Virginia USA. He was introduced to chess by his uncle ( Mom’s brother) when he was 5 year old. Later in his school he was in after school chess club. In school club he learned tactics and a lot more about chess. He has been participating in VA state championship, Nationals and other school level tournaments for last couple of years. Now he is in Intermediate level at PCA and thank you so much Coach Rajesh for your efforts and guidance to Rithwik. He plays Chess with his brother during off school hours, his favorite chess piece is the Knight and favorite checkmate is the ‘Arabian mate’. Apart from Chess Rithwik likes Sports, Reading, Mathematics and Watching Movies with Family”.

8. Yaksh Patel

“Yaksh is 7 -years – old and lives in Fremont, California. He enjoys playing board games whenever he has free time. He is always full of energy whether he is in school, playing with friends, or spending time with family. His passion for chess was discovered in February, only because of PCA. When we enrolled him in PCA this February, we just expected to introduce him to the game, but thanks to Baivab sir, he has developed a strong interest in chess. Whenever Yaksh gets time, he is looking to learn/practice more chess tactics on the internet or in chess books. He dreams of being a little grandmaster one day.”.

“Yaksh, no doubt, possesses high IQ and sharp reflexes that makes him a very challenging player —- a hard to beat opponent. But the main quality that mesmerized me is that he never missed out on a single practice session and kept performing. I feel, signals the genesis of a champion of future years. Solving of more than 1000 puzzles is an exemplary testimonial of his dedication and love for the game .He has already set the standards very high for me as well as for his friends who are taking training here at PCA. 9. Sai Saharsh Mandadi

“Sai Saharsh Mandadi is from Los Angeles, California and a 5th grader. We have come across Premier Chess Academy on Facebook advertisement. He developed interest in chess when his best friend, who is also a chess player learning from past 5 yrs., started talking to him and taught him basics. With guidance from his coach Anshul Bathla attending practice sessions, weekly tournaments, analyzing others games and moves making him to learn many new things daily. He loves to play basketball, attends taekwondo to learn self defense techniques and singing. With logically thinking acquired thru chess game as center and self defense as radius he wanted to draw a circle of success around him”.

10. Shaurya  Desai

“Shaurya is a 3rd Grade student, lives in New Jersey . He started playing chess last summer and started soon enjoying it. He enjoys solving all the puzzles and gets very excited after winning each game 😊. He likes to play Tabla and all outdoor sports. His favorite sport is swimming. Thanks to his teacher Harshita Sinha for putting hard work. His game has improved lot in very short time”.

11. Yuvant

“Yuvant is 9 years old. He lives in Vancouver Washington State. He got passion on chess by seeing some of his friends playing and started learning from them. But after joining Premier Chess Academy he got into real fun of the game. He improved his skills and thought process to next level. Other than chess yuvi like soccer, Tennis and pokemon cards. We really happy to have Mr. Rinku sir. Yuvi always says that’s Mr. Rinku sir talk softly and explain all the strategies step by step. Explain his mistakes in detail. Gives lots of example puzzles for that strategies. He say sir was best in motivating him”.

“Yuvant is very sharp in chess calculations. In classes Yuvant do allot of cross questions and never give up so easily. He used to participate in all practice sessions with great enthusiasm. 12. Asna Fathima

“Asna Fathima is living in Vancouver, Canada and is in 3rd grade at school. She started learning chess at school a year back and is very happy to continue learning chess. She looks forward to getting better at playing chess”.

13. Madhav Bansal

“Madhav is a 11 yr old and lives in Seattle, Washington. He started chess as a weekend hobby in 2020 but he has become more disciplined in practicing chess after joining Premier Academy. He enjoys basketball, swimming, and coding programs in Scratch and Python. He would like to excel in whatever field he chooses in future. We would like to thank Darpan sir for inculcating in him the passion and focus towards Chess”.

“Madhav is a good tactical chess player having great building logic skills. He always like to play against tough players. Madhav is also very good at puzzles solving and during the class he like tricky puzzles. He is very attentive in class and also ensure the attends all Sunday championships.
