At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted the below students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (April 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Europe!

1. Maya Kaur Johl

“Maya is 8 years old, she lives in Kettering, UK. She likes to learn new things and has really enjoyed her chess coaching from PCA with her tutor Sunya. We have seen her improvement and enthusiasm for the game. Away from chess Maya is a kind hearted girl who really enjoys creative pursuits such as art and design and spending time with her family”.

Coach feedback on Maya:

“Maya is a girl of less words and more action, during classes she is really more focused in learning new things and she is showing her understanding by improving her games in practice sessions. She participates in every practice session with great enthusiasm. She has the sportsman spirit within, I wish her all the success and good luck for her bright chess career”.

2. Aniruddha Kandadai

“Aniruddha Kandadai, son of Bhavana Pradyumna and Pradyumna Kandadai, identified the carnatic ragas at the age of 16 months. He is trained in Carnatic vocal singing by his mother Bhavana Pradyumna. He loves to play chess and enjoys coding. Aniruddha can read and write 8 languages – Sanskrit, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, French and Russian. Though he was introduced to chess basics at a very young age, his learning was given a formal direction through PCA. His teacher at the academy, Abhishek’s guidance in this regard is well appreciated. Aniruddha loves solving chess puzzles, and watching chess videos on YouTube.

Creating Doodle videos of “Amarakosha- Sanskrit Dictionary” is the latest addition to his list of interests! He brings out one video every Friday. It can be found on YouTube channel “Carnatic Conservatory of Paris https://youtu.be/Lz7opg0wO-w”

His interest in chess has only grown more and more, from the day he has joined PCA. We hope PCA will continue to hone Aniruddha’s talent, for him to stay engaged and progress at an appropriate pace”.

3. Reyansh Sood

Reyansh is a 7 years old boy, he started learning chess from the age of six. Earlier he was going to his after school chess club but the progress and the pace of the class was very slow. Last year he joined PCA and it turns out to be best fit for him. He learned so much about the game and the strategies within months from Siddharth sir. Siddharth is an excellent teacher and works around Reyansh capabilities and support him in many different ways. The motivation Reyansh got from Siddharth sir is working wonders as he is always looking forward for the classes, tournaments or any chess videos on YouTube. Thank you Siddharth sir for your efforts.

Coach feedback on Reyansh:

“Reyansh started his chess classes in June 2020 and was only 6 years old only. He was struggling initially but thanks to his parents for having never give up attitude. Within 2-3 months, he started to settle down in chess and started to perform and do good. Initially he started to get emotional and cry after losing in chess, it demanded great time and effort to calm him down but after 7-8 months he started to get mature and taking loses in positive and learning way. His tactical vision is extremely sharp and now he is applying strategies in chess. He is one to watch for in future”.
