At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (April 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, North America(Canada & USA)!

1. Suryansh Maruvada

Suryansh is a 9 year old. He started learning chess about a year ago and has improved a lot after joining PCA. As parents, we are happy that our son has found a place to enrich his passion and skills. Now, we play very cautiously any game with Suryansh .Suryansh is a 3rd grader and loves Mathematics, passionate about classical music and singing and last but not the least is a big lover of Legos.”

Suryansh’s dedication in the classes knows no bounds. He is always active and ever-ready to solve all the challenging puzzles. The best part about Suryansh is his ‘Learning Attitude’. During his games, he is super focused and gives his level best! There are times when the game result is not in his favor, but instead of getting demotivated, he learns from his mistakes and always looks out for areas of improvement. I hope his passion and dedication towards chess takes him to great heights!

2. Krish

Krish is 6 years old, studying in Kindergarten, and lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana (USA). Apart from Chess, he loves playing  Cricket, Soccer, and Swimming. He loves reading comic books and has been reading the Dog Man comic set. He also loves spending time with family and his friends and that’s where he took interest in playing Chess. Hearty thanks to his coach Mr. Abhishek Sir who has been fantastic in teaching and communication skills, and the PCA team for helping him in honing his Chess skills.”

3. Arsh Ranjan

He is 7 year old. He developed his interest when he was 6, during quarantine that time we used to play different board games to pass time. One day he played chess and he liked it and then he learnt all the basics of chess from youtube. He used to walk whole day with chess game and keep on asking can you play a round of chess with me?, then we learned chess from youtube and then played with him. Then he started asking can I get chess class, I thought it is starting so he is too enthusiastic, but he keep on asking I want chess class, then I tried two three classes but he was not enjoying, and then finally got PCA chess class now he is happy and enjoying chess with Coach Amit. Thank you Amit !”

4. Roydin George

Roydin is a 7-year-old from Chicago. He got interested in chess by seeing one of his friends playing and he is passionate to learn it. PCA academy and his coach Mr. Anirudhan has been very instrumental in giving him a very good foundation and teaching him progressively. After joining the classes, we see that his interest and keenness to learn and play has significantly increased. Apart from chess, he likes swimming, card games, Beyblade etc. and playing with his friends and family.”

5. Krish Senthilkumar

Krish is a 1st grader and just turned 7 yrs. He is very quick learner and a critical thinker. He is much interested to play Soccer, Piano and Drums. He started to learn chess for past one year and he started to show all the techniques what he learned from his class to his mom who is the best partner to him. He always wants to play with his mom and wants to win her every time with new strategies. He has the talent to analyze what is the mistake he made in each game. Anish is his coach and he loved his class. He never ever miss his class. Even Though he is outside or in any parties, he would love to join the class using the mobile. It shows how Anish is taking the class so interactive and bring their interests in chess by motivating them. Thanks Anish for your best support and coaching. Really appreciated.”

6. Saisha Jain

Saisha is 7 years old , 1st grader from San Diego, California.  She was introduced to chess by one of our neighborhood friends a year back and seeing her interest we joined Premier Chess Academy with Coach Ankush. She has developed her interest even more and is doing so well. Coach Ankush has provided her confidence that she loves to challenge older kids on chess. She is eager and always looking forward to joining her chess class. She loves making friends and waits to meet her chess friends online. Apart from Chess she enjoys swimming, arts, running, playing outdoors, baking with her mom and building Legos. She can build anything of Legos are extremely thankful to coach Ankush for being so patient with Saisha, making the class very interactive and teaching new stuff in every class. Thanks again for all your hard work and waking up so early to accommodate to the time zone.”

7. Sai Sahit Nooli

Sahit is a third grader who is 9 years old. He lives in Redmond, Washington along with his Mom,dad and older sister. His hobbies are playing chess,  playing sports, dancing & sketching. One of his favorite sports is cricket. Special thanks to his Coach Mr. Anshul for making Sahit better at chess day by day.”

8. Karthik

Karthik is a 10 year old and very friendly boy who lives in Seattle, Washington. Apart from chess he likes to play basketball, Badminton. He loves to read books. He started playing chess 1 year ago but with PCA in a short time he improved his way of playing and everyday tournaments helped him to focus on a regular basis and be competitive. Coach Ashish is remarkable. He always helps Karthik to realize his potential and guides him with his mistakes. Karthik always looks forward to playing inter-batch tournaments.”

9. Mihir Chandra  

Mihir is a 7 yr old 1st grader, living in the suburbs of San Francisco, California. He is always very enthusiastic in learning new strategy games, so we introduced him to chess. For the past 6 months he has been  part of PCA. Coach Atharva’s style of teaching is so engaging and fun that Mihir looks forward to being part of his sessions. Other than Chess Mihir loves to play outdoors with his friends and 2-square with his dad and sister. He enjoys learning karate and is a little dragon blue belt.”

Mihir is a very intelligent kid who participates in every class activity with enthusiasm . 10. Saatvik Tallah

Saatvik is 11 years old and attends Belmont Station ES. He is very passionate about reading. He also likes to play video games. He is an advanced beginner in PCA chess academy and plays chess daily. He also owns 3 pet birds.”

Coach feedback on Saatvik :

Saatvik is extremely talented and got a huge amount of “Chess Knowledge”. He never gets upset for any downfall rather he keeps up his pace and continues to put in more effort. He is a very regular kid, never missed classes nor practice sessions. His performance in this month is commendable since apart from mastering the “art of solving puzzles” and “understanding positional concepts” he has overcome the weakness of playing fast and not looking for opponent threats.  He has increased his lichess puzzle rating by significant margin and constantly got top five position in practice session tournaments which really makes him worthy star of this month. Hope he continues to perform well and achieve his dreams in the long run. Being a coach I really feel lucky to have “Saatvik” as my student and wishing him to have an extremely successful life.”

11. Shloka Gaddam

Shloka is 8yrs old, she joined Chess Last year September. She has improved a lot in chess. She loves to solve Chess puzzles and plays Lichess. Her coach is Bhaskar and he is Amazing. He has helped Shloka a lot in how to play and learn chess. I truly appreciate his help.”

12. Lalith Moravaneni

Lalith is a 10 years old student in 5th grade who lives in Houston, TX. He likes to play chess with his friends and family. Lalith’s quick grasp of moves and his love towards the game made us enroll in PCA. He never wants to miss any classes, practice sessions and tournaments. Thanks to the coach Keshav Sir for making him improve well in thinking and applying different concepts in particular scenarios. 13. Sparsh Waghmare

Sparsh is 9 years old and a 4th grader living in Nashville, TN. He started his chess journey six months ago and improved a lot by learning new techniques from coach Mr. Kshitij. Sparsh enjoys chess classes and we can see the progress he has made so far. Thanks to Coach Mr.Kshitij for his guidance and support. Now he has started participating in local chess tournaments. Beside Chess, he loves to play Table Tennis. Sparsh is very sporty and learns any game quickly.”

14. Omisha Saxena

Omisha is a fun-loving kid and is very passionate about learning new things. She is in Grade 3 and loves reading books, dancing, art, and many outdoor activities. She becomes very passionate about something if it poses a challenge to her and Chess has given her exactly that. She has shown interest in learning Chess a few months back. Premier Chess Academy has given her a perfect platform to wiggle around her mind and be creative. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kunal Sir for his superb guidance throughout and develop her concept and strategies in the game. “

15. Yash Acharya

Hello Everyone, This is Yash Acharya. I am 7 year old, I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan with my parents, little sister Eva and my pet brother Pluto. I am a second grader at Webster Elementary School in Livonia. I love to play chess, soccer and tennis. I am also very good at piano. My winter activity is ice skating and in summer, I am mostly on my scooter or my Raleigh bike roaming around the neighborhood.”

16. Meghna Mukil

Meghna is a fourth grader from Chesterfield, Missouri. She started her chess Journey with PCA in September 2021. Since then, it has become one of her favorite sports. Over the past 7 months, with the help of her coach Narendiran, she has been learning new techniques and improving her game. Meghna is also passionate about her gymnastics and enjoys her math. She is also an avid Roblox player. Meghna is looking forward to improving her chess skills working with Coach Narendiran.”

17. Svanik Kalya

Svanik is 7yr old 1st grader from Seattle Washington. He joined PCA in December 2021 and within a few months he learnt the techniques quite well , thanks to his coach Mr. Omkar for teaching him interesting techniques. He enjoys the sessions and never likes to miss the class or practice sessions. He likes participating in tournaments .He is a fast learner. Svanik is also a good dancer and likes outdoor sports. 18. Nathan Dzuzelewski

Nathan Dzuzelewski is a 6th grader. He loves to play video games, put Legos together and play the piano. He also enjoys riding his bike and being at the park with friends. He is fun and loving! His interest in chess began a few months ago. Once he started the PCA classes with his coach Pavithra, chess turned from a hobby into a passion. He very quickly started learning techniques and strategies that allowed him to advance his rating. We could be happier with the program.”

19. Shravas Vijayaraghavan

Shravas is 6 years old, lives in Mclean VA and studies in 1st grade . He started playing chess at a very early age when he was around 4 years, he picked it up from his father and then was groomed by his coach Piyush. Since then his interest and skill level towards the game has improved by leaps and bounds. He really likes to attend the classes even if it means to miss playing with friends outside which falls second to this. Apart from chess, he loves to play cricket,  soccer and has a great interest in playing all kinds of board games.”

20. Charith Chowdary Jetty

Charith is a 2nd grader from Odyssey-Magellan Magnet School located in Appleton WI.He is a well-mannered, kindhearted charming boy and shows so much interest in solving Rubik’s Cube, playing constellations, petting dogs and reading books.  He is second to none having zeal and putting prodigious efforts to learn new things. Having said this makes him climb up the proficiency ladder in chess with each passing day .Apart from learn and play Cherry is good at making new friends and getting along with them so nicely.”

22. Soham Gupta

Soham is a 6 year old, residing in Dublin ,OH. Soham has been playing chess nearly a year and a half now, but his chess skills improved considerably after he joined PCA, under the guidance of his coach Mr Rakesh. He also plays chess with his brother who is also a PCA student and plays in the rated section. Soham also likes to play Soccer, Piano and build Legos. 23. Pranav Ramalingan Sathish Kumar

Anaya is a very fun loving and charming girl. She lives in Dublin, California. She enjoys learning Bollywood dance and calligraphy , art and craft and loves to do swimming. She loves beach vacations and resort retreats a lot and enjoys  traveling with her friends and family. She also enjoys playing chess. It has been more than a year now since she  joined PCA,  ever since then  she has improved her chess skills a lot. 25. Divyansh Nayak

Divyansh is a 2nd grader who lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He loves to play word games, ice skating and skiing. A year back he showed interest in chess and started playing with his father. Looking at his interest, his father enrolled him in the PCA. Now he eagerly waits for his chess classes and practice sessions. 26. Shlok Kulkarn

Shlok is 6 years old & in 1st grade. He goes to Elsa England Elementary school – Austin, Texas. Shlok had first started playing chess with his dad & started showing a lot of interest, so we decided to enroll him for chess classes. We were very lucky to find Premier Chess Academy. He enjoys each & every class with coach Ravikant. Shlok is always excited to join chess tournaments & his joy when he checkmates his opponent is immeasurable. His curiosity towards chess pushed him to learn more new techniques and strategies. Chess has become one of his passions now. Thanks to premier chess Academy. 27. Anika Gupta

Anika is a fourth grader who recently turned 10, living in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Anika has been playing chess for more than a year now. She was a beginner to start with and constantly improved her chess skills under her coach, Mr. Rinku Jain. She also learnt to think logically to anticipate the opponent’s move and various chess strategies. Apart from chess, Anika takes keen interest in art, tennis, coding, gymnastics, and reading books.

28. Kishan Lokapalli

Kishan Lokapalli is a 4th Grader and he really likes Chess. Kishan says he likes chess because it’s challenging and rewarding. In his free time, he plays Roblox. 29. Yoga

Yoga is a 14-year-old ninth grade student from Atlanta, Georgia. Yoga is a passionate and hardworking kid with a dedication towards his work. His interests include Music (Indian and Western), playing Guitar, Chess, volunteering and Swimming. He is learning Hindi, which he can understand, but a basic speaker. Yoga loves his dog – Lucky, who is his good friend and they are seen together most of the time at home. Yoga started playing Chess when he was 10. After joining Premier Chess Academy, his confidence and skill level in his game has increased. His Chess coach at Premier Chess academy – Sarthak Dutta – has brought a transformation in Yoga’s game. This Summer, Yoga wants to compete in tournaments. He is eager to win the tournaments as a true tribute to his coach. 30. Jaiden Kariapuram

Jaiden is a 7 year-old, residing in Minnesota. He has been playing chess for 6 months, his chess skills and interest improved considerably after he joined PCA, under the guidance of his coach, Mr. Shekhar Raha, who helped Jaiden to understand the game better. Jaiden attended multiple chess competitions and has won some prizes for those. Apart from chess, his passions include playing tennis, acting, soccer, biking and playing piano.”

Jaiden is one of the most hardworking students ever. He is a quick-learner and is always very attentive in the class. The best thing about him is that he not only learns all the concepts that are taught in the class, but also tries to apply them in his practice games and asks questions on those topics in the next class. 31. Aakash Prakash

Aakash Prakash is 10 years old, studying in 5th Grade and lives in Whitehall, PA(USA). He enjoys playing chess and always uses the learnt tactics in his practice sessions. Apart from chess, he is interested in Karate(Green Belt), Wordle (Word guessing game), Puzzle Solving, bike riding with his friends, and playing fun games. He also loves to spend time with his sister Nikitha Prakash (4 years old) and having a lot of fun being with her. He is fascinated to do challenging math, try science experiments, and explore things around. Aashish is nine years old and lives in Orlando, FL. He started learning chess on his own through books and online platforms. He loves to analyze and understand the games of top chess players. Recently he joined PCA about six months ago and started taking lessons with Coach Tushar Sharma. He loves his Coach and eagerly looks forward to chess classes every week with Coach Tushar. Aashish is also good at solving puzzles and difficult math problems. He likes to challenge himself and also sets higher goals each time. He also enjoys playing soccer, basketball and tennis.”

Sukirth is a 11 year old from Huntersville , North Carolina. He is always curious to explore new things . We approached PCA when he showed little interest in Chess and a trial class with Mr. Utkarsh changed everything. Sukirth has been showing great progress and he likes Mr. Utkarsh’s way of teaching. 34. Vihaan vasireddy

Vihaan Vasireddy is 8 years old studying 3rd grade. He lives in Lehi, Utah. He started playing chess a few months ago, ever since he joined PCA his skills and game improved in no time. He is lucky to be part of coach Ritish Pathania’s batch. Vihaan regularly attends classes and implements  Ritish’s inputs and strategies while playing rapid games and tournaments. Along with chess, Vihaan loves to play basketball and soccer. He is very interested in computer coding which he is learning now. A huge thanks to PCA and coach Ritish for helping Vihaan improve his chess skills.”
