At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (April 2023) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Namit Goel

Namit Goel is 5 years old and studying in grade 1 in Delhi Public School, Sangrur, Punjab. His hobbies are dancing, playing Chess and Badminton. He is also learning how to swim. Namit joined PCA 3 months back and under the expert guidance of his coach Mr. Ashish Pattnaik he has made remarkable progress in Chess skills. We are proud of our son Namit for his selection as Star kid of the month of April 2023 and grateful to Mr. Ashish.

Namit is an extremely talented and intelligent kid, he has a curiosity to learn new things every day, and from a small age! he works hard with full dedication to playing well in the tournaments. It indicates that he is a quick learner and grasps things very easily. He loves to play in practice arenas, with his new classmates and loves to solve puzzles.  I wish him all the best for his bright and joyful journey ahead in chess. “

2. Aniruddha Sahoo

He is a very energetic and sportive kid. He loves to play football and chess. Very talented and mischievous. Whatever he does, always tries to excel on that. “

Aniruddha is friendly. He is very attentive in class and follows the rules & regulations as prescribed. His approach and efforts towards chess at this age are remarkable. He is more like a practical player than a theoretical one. Being a coach I’m very happy to have Aniruddha with me & my best wishes will always follow his path.”

3. Aaridhya Kumar Prasad

Aaridhya is an 8 years old kid. He is a standard 3 student at AVM Juhu Mumbai. Aaridhya is a vivid thinker and he enjoys exploring new things. His interests lies in sports, especially chess and football. He enjoys solving math puzzles. His teachers have always complimented him for his discipline and good conduct.”

Aaridhya is a capable and fierce competitor. He is adept at figuring out puzzles. He frequently makes it to the practice games. He is too tactically clever to solve puzzles. I hope all of his future endeavors are successful. Aaridhya is adept at identifying strategies. He enjoys playing chess more often. He is interested in learning about the variations in his chess games. He is a player who attacks aggressively. Never giving up, he. He consistently attends his practice sessions and classes. He enjoys figuring out puzzles. He picks up the concepts easily. I hope he has the best of luck with his following events. “

4. Aarav Akaleshkumar Tiwari

Aarav Tiwari is 9-year-old from Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, studying third standard in Vigor High, Kharghar. Aarav’s interest in chess began at an early age when his elder brother taught him the basics of the game. Since then, Aarav has dedicated countless hours to improving his skills by watching videos of different strategies in chess. Looking at his keen interest in the game, we were looking for a good guidance for him and our search for a good guidance for him ended up as we came to know about Premier Chess Academy. We are so glad to get him a professional training platform like this. We are extremely thankful to his coach Mr. Kunal Kumar as well who is very much talented and patient enough to teach him very well. Aarav’s passion for the game and his commitment to continuous improvement is continuously growing with coach Kunal Kumar’s guidance.”

Firstly, I want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that Aarav has put into his chess practice. It is not easy to improve in any skill, especially a complex game like chess, and Aarav has been putting in the effort to develop his skills. One thing that has particularly stood out to me is Aarav’s improved strategic thinking. He has been able to consider the long-term consequences of his moves more effectively and has been making better decisions as a result. Aarav’s tactical abilities have also improved significantly. He has been able to recognize more patterns and common motifs in the game, which has led to better decision-making during the middle and endgame. Aarav’s progress in the last few months has been excellent, and his hard work is paying off. I am confident that he will continue to improve and become an even stronger player in the future. 5. S. Krishva Aadrith

” Krishva Aadrith is a 7 years old boy. Basically, he is a very lively and talkative boy. He joined PCA at the age of 6. He is learning well in this one year.PCA is a good platform for his future.Andhe got good coach he managed both this talky boy and class as well.STARKID appreciation is encouraging the kids to practice daily. It’s improving his status. We are thankful to PCA team and his coach for making chess very interesting to my son.”

Krishva has always been very active in his theory classes. He’s talkative & always tries to have fun in his class. He likes to compete with other kids. Recently Krishva started playing practice tournaments almost every single day. Practice leads to habit, habit leads to consistency, and consistency leads to success! I wish him to practice more & more, lots & lots of achievements on his way! “

6. Aryan

Aryan is 10 years old. He is studying in the 5th grade at Sri Krishna Mission School, Agartala, in Tripura State. He is very active and passionate about learning something. He enjoys playing chess a lot. Aryan joined PCA three months ago, and he is fond of the teachings of Viswanath sir, and he is happy to have Viswanath sir as his coach. Sir guides Aryan very well whenever needed. We, the parents of Aryan Roy, are extremely thankful and appreciate Viswanath sir for his attempt and motivation to improve Aryan a lot. Aryan has also been awarded the God Medal in the Olympiad. He is also learning abacus and loves to play cricket. We thank PCA and Coach Viswanath for all their support and helpful guidance.”

7. N.V Dhruva Bhargav

Dhruva has been practicing chess for a few months and has excelled in chess. He is into tennis, skating, swimming and football for outdoor activities and guitar, drawing, sketching, chess(mostly), for indoor activities. I am proud of my son that he loves chess just like his whole family does and I want to say thanks to Dhruva’s coach Kunal sir, for guiding him throughout his chess journey. His goals are:

1) Beating His dad in chess
2) wants to become one of the world champions.

Selection Criteria – April 2023: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc
