At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Nayan Tej Reddy Bandi

Nayan is 7 years old 1st grader, living in Fremont, CA. He is very focused and a quick learner. He has been practicing chess with PCA since last August. He enjoys playing chess with his Dad, doing practice sessions, playing with other kids and Participating in tournaments. He also loves playing sports like Cricket, Basketball and Badminton. He also likes playing Guitar, drawing, reading books and listening to stories. We would like to say Big Thanks to the PCA team and the coach Aabhas Jindal for Supporting and guiding Nayan to continue his learning and enhance his interest in this game. We are really happy to see his progress in chess for last 7 months.

2. Vyuha Anne

Vyuha is a 10-year-old 4th grader at Kittredge Magnet School, Atlanta. She is energetic, friendly and hardworking. She loves to spend time reading books, swimming, sewing classes, contemporary fashion designs and field activities. With a strong passion for learning and love for exploring, she started her chess classes last year at PCA. In less than 12 months, could see a significant improvement in her game strategies, analysis, tactics which helped hone her creative skills. Inspired by this, her 6-year-old brother started his chess classes this year and it has become one of their favorite activities in their free time. We are glad to have Mr. Abhinandan Ganguly as her coach. He really helped her on how to maintain calmness under pressure, abstract reasoning, pattern recognition and to strike a balance between attack and defense approaches. Appreciate all your efforts in shaping up these young kids by improving critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Kudos to the PCA Team!!

3. Shriya

Shriya is 9 years old and is in 4th grade. She started playing Chess 1 month back. She always wanted to learn Chess and now she is enjoying her Chess lessons. She also loves to play with her friends. Her coach Mr Abhishek Kumar is an amazing teacher. Apart from Chess, She enjoys Tae Kwan do, art and Piano a lot. We are so proud of her. We hope she will do better in the future. Thanks to Coach Mr Abhishek for his efforts and motivation.

4. Satvik Sahoo

Satvik is an 8-year-old boy and he is currently in 2nd grade with a keen interest in chess. He is a curious and intelligent child who enjoys spending his free time learning new strategies and playing chess games with his friends and family. In addition to chess, Satvik has a keen interest in swimming, where he can enjoy physical activity while building endurance and strength. He is also an avid builder of Lego’s, where he can exercise his creativity and imagination. Satvik’s diverse interests showcase his well-rounded personality and his love for learning and exploring new things. His passion for chess, swimming, and Lego’s reflects his analytical abilities, discipline, and creativity, and it’s exciting to see where these passions will take him in the future.

5. Damon McKagan

Damon is 7 years old. He is a sweet 1st grader. During a summer camp last year, he got to know chess and expressed his interest to learn. His dad was trying to introduce some basic rules to him during winter break and we were kind of trying to see if it’s real interest or just 3-minute passion. A few months ago, I decided to give it a shot so signed him up for PCA. It turned out to be a great decision and thanks a lot to coach Ankush, Damon has been enjoying playing and learning. Sometimes he’s even trying to teach his baby brother who’s 5 years old to play chess.

6. Lakshmanan Nachiappan

” Lakshman is 11 years old. He is in 6th grade. Lakshman is a quick learner, and he developed an interest in chess recently. He has a strong passion for mathematics. He enjoys solving Rubik’s cube, playing tennis and reading books.  He is a very attentive and focused kid who is very keen to learn new things. He is a self-learner. He is doing great in academics as well. He joined PCA 5 months back and his progress is very good, and he also attends USCF tournaments on the weekends. A big thanks to his coach Arya Bhakta for his efforts and making each class interesting. Thank you PCA team for providing a platform for kids to learn and explore their interest in chess. ”

7. Samrith Ashwin

Samrith is 7 years old and is in grade 1 in California. It’s just been 4 months since he started his chess classes with PCA. He is showing great interest in learning new strategies in chess and doing practice sessions. We are really proud of him. Samrith is a focused kid and a quick learner. Apart from chess , he likes to play soccer and basketball. He is good at drawing and setting legos. Math is his favorite subject. He loves to play piano.  We are extremely grateful to his coach Mr. Ashish Pattnaik for his effort and guidance. He gives individual attention and encourages kids to improve.

8. Pratiti

Pratiti is 8 years old and is in Grade 3 , living in Texas. It’s just been 4 months since she started chess class. She got introduced to chess about 6 months back and developed interest towards the game.Thanks to her coach MR. Benson Baby. Apart from chess , she loves Gymnastics. Her other interests are playing piano ,watching chess videos and  reading books. Thanks to the PCA Team and her coach Mr. Benson Baby for his efforts and motivation. We are proud of Pratiti.

9. Advay Parihar

Advay is 8 years old and is in 2nd grade. He loves playing chess. We thank his coach Bhaskar who encourages Advay to solve chess puzzles and compete in tournaments. Advay also plays cello, and enjoys origami and hiking.

10. Charan Sai Pappu

Charan is a ten year old kid who will turn 11 in September. He loves to play chess and, whenever he loses he tries to fix his mistakes so that he can play better in the next game. He started taking classes and learned different techniques from his coach. Charan is always joyful and brightens up people’s mood. He loves animals and everything about nature. He is a total nerd when it comes to dinosaurs and enjoys everything about the world. Charan loves playing video games, playing with his friends and going outside. He also loves reading all the time and likes to read fiction. He loves Science and English subjects at school. He also is a spell bowl winner and is very good at spellings. He is always enthusiastic about chess and improves every game he plays.

Charan has had a gap in learning twice since his family visited India 2 times in the last 6-8 months. But his commitment to learning and growing as a chess player is truly impressive, and it is evident that he has a passion for the game. Even while he was in India I remember talking to his mom as Charn was curious how to practice and solve puzzles. He was a bit worried that he is losing since had a gap but he has bounced back stronger. Your success this month is a testament to your perseverance and dedication, and I am confident that you will continue to achieve great things in the future. 11. Avyaan Mahadeokar

Avyaan is 6 years old and is in kindergarten. He picked up chess when he was 5 and half years old and since then he has really taken to it. He loves playing fast chess and solving chess puzzles. When he is not playing chess, he loves to do outdoor activities, play with friends and enjoys swimming.

12. Avni Yadav

Avni is 7 years old and currently in 1st grade in California. She started playing chess 6 months ago. Apart from Chess, she loves to Dance, do Art work, play Uno, read comic books and play with her younger brother. Math is her favorite subject. She likes taking challenges herself with all the chess puzzles and tournaments. We are thankful to coach Mr. Girish for helping Avni to improve her game and learn new skills/strategies.

13. Aaradhya Cherukuri

Aaradhya Cherukuri is 8 year old girl living in Frisco, Texas studying 2nd grade in Corbell Elementary School. She is interested to learn chess and her interest is keep on increasing. She is very active and hobbies are playing with friends, biking and watching movies.

14. Parth Vinesh Masurkar

Parth is a mischievous 9 years old with an exuberant personality. Among his varied interests, chess occupies a top position. Parth is passionate about anything that he is interested in and willing to work hard to achieve the best results he can. When he is not playing chess Parth engages in swimming, playing the piano, reading, Lego building and watching silly cartoons on TV. We are grateful to his coach Harshraj Gupta for mo va ng and mentoring Parth to nurture his love for the game. Thank you PCA for providing this platform to the budding grandmasters across the world.

15. Aariv Aggarwal

Aariv is 8 years old and he is in second grade. He has been playing chess with PCA for the past 2 years. He started chess as a hobby but then started enjoying it so much that he wants to play online or even with friends, family. He knows all the chess strategies learnt in class and applies them whenever he plays online or with family. Aariv is very focused and a quick learner. He also loves playing basketball, biking. He likes playing video or online games. He is quite interested in lego building and robotics. I would like to thank coach Mihir Mehra for giving guidance and continuous push for improving the games. We are proud to be part of PCA.

16. Aarush

Aarush is 8 years old and is in the second grade. Aarush found an interest in chess and ever since has been playing. He enjoys playing chess games online and with his family. After joining premier chess academy he improved his chess skills and learned a lot of tricks. He enjoys his chess classes with premier academy. To pass time he likes to build Legos and building blocks, build puzzles, read books, and play with his toy cars. Outside of chess he shows interest in other sports such as Tennis and Soccer. He also has been doing Taekwondo for two years and is on his way to black belt. He is thankful for being able to play chess and be in tournaments and always is looking forward to improving.

17. Ada Avanish Chaturvedi

Ada is 7 years old, goes to grade 1 and lives in Vancouver BC. She is passionate for skating and soccer.After seeing the PCA ad on social media, we offered Ada to join chess just for a demo to see if she likes or not but then she said that she wants to learn more about chess and from there her chess journey started with coach Omkar. He is such a great coach that always guides the best and provides makeover classes if she couldn’t attend the batch sometimes. Great experience.  Thank you PCA & Coach Omkar.

18. Chathur Shanmukh Makam

Chathur is an 8 years old 3rd grader. Chathur grasps things quickly & tries to invent something always & starts playing chess from the past 6 months after joining PCA and making a constant performance since joining. Apart from chess, he plays drums, video games and does nice drawings. Thank you Piyush for his regular guidance and we have seen great improvement in these months. Definitely PCA makes a big difference and brings in a lot of talent.

19. Vihaan Reddy Ramasahayam

Vihaan is 9 years old in 3rd grade from Boston, MA. He is a quick learner who is particularly interested in Math and chess. He started playing chess when he was 6 and recently got introduced to PCA. Since then he is showing so much interest in learning new concepts and strategies. Appreciate all the support and guidance from his coach Prabhat. 20. Navtej Eppa

Navtej is 9 years old and studying 4th grade. He has been learning chess for the last two years. Other than chess he loves swimming, puzzle solving, math, tennis and video games. He loves to find new things and wants to become a scientist. He likes pizza and ice cream. He loves his younger brother Advith and plays with his family and friends. 21. Taksh Arora

Taksh is 6 years old and is in grade kindergarten. He is a very smart and focused kid. In the past 2-3 months, he showed great interest and progress in learning chess. He is very competitive when it comes to chess tournaments and aspires to learn more. He also loves playing soccer, basketball & watching YouTube videos on chess & learning about grandmasters. 22. Nirvaan Yandrapati

Nirvaan Yandrapati is in 1st grade from Houston, TX. He is very competitive and loves playing chess. Along with chess he loves to play soccer, enjoys art. He also loves building complex legos and playing soccer. He started his chess journey a few months ago when he played with a friend and lost a game. He wanted to learn to play chess seriously and we enrolled him in PCA and very soon he showed so much interest that he wanted to participate in tournaments and win in a Middle school Tournament. Thanks to Mr. Rakesh, He is very supportive and helps Nirvaan improve his game and makes sure he is motivated.

23. Lohith Animireddi

Lohith is 11 years old, and he is in 5th grade. He started playing chess all by himself and he developed the skills, then he started exploring and exploring for resources to know and learn more about the game. He is always having fun playing Chess. He is very happy with Coach Kumar Raunak and the way he is teaching. Lohith likes Soccer, solving complex math problems and swimming. He loves spending time playing with his friends and his cute sister (Joshitha). He loves sleepovers with his friends. We hope he will do better in his future with consistent practice. 24. Riaan

Riaan is a 9 year old, 3rd grader from Richmond, Virginia. He has joined Premier Chess Academy with no prior chess knowledge and is now already in advanced levels in PCA. We are thankful to coach Rinku and all previous coaches at PCA for imbibing chess skills in Riaan. He is an ardent book reader and loves swimming , dancing and playing cricket. 25. Premsai Nallapareddygari

Premsai is 9 years old and is in Grade 4. Premsai always had a personal interest towards chess as he saw his cousin brother playing chess and winning tournaments. Now, he is playing and learning chess full of excitement and fun. He is very happy with Coach Sahil’s fun teaching methods. He likes soccer, taekwondo and chess a lot. We hope he will win many games in future with consistent practice and great guidance from his guru Sahil.

26. Sriman Dodda

Sriman is 8 years old. He started playing  chess about 4 months ago as part of the school chess club. He has shown interest in learning the game and continues to enjoy the game credit to his coach Sathwik Upadhyaya.  Thanks to the coach for keeping the class engaged. Apart from chess, Sriman enjoys reading, drawing and playing video games.

27. Zaydan Khan Mohammed

Zaydan is 7 years old and lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He started playing chess at the age of 5. He loves to play practice matches and puzzle racers on lichess. He used to read chess books from the library before we came to know about PCA. His coach, Shekhar Raha helped him learn more concepts and take his skills to the next level. His hobbies include – playing soccer, ice skating and reading books.

28. Siddhartha Kambalapally

Siddhartha is 8 years old 2nd grade , before starting at Premier Chess Academy he was not aware of anything with help of coach Shriram he is able to play full games, puzzles and showing a lot of interest in the games. Apart from chess Sid loves basketball and has started Karate recently with orange belt.

29. Pranav Nilesh Kanse

Pranav is 12 years old and is in 7th grade at Orchard Hills middle school, in Irvine, California. He is a very intuitive thinker. He developed a fascination for playing chess in the last 7-8 months when we started his chess classes with Premier Chess Academy. Besides playing chess, he likes to play Harmonium and is learning Indian Classical music. He performs in local music shows in the Indian community. He also has a YouTube channel where he posts lifestyle and travel-related videos. Thank you, Coach Subhayan, for creating this new hobby in Pranav.

30. Rishit Masarapu

Rishit is a fourth grader who used to play chess since childhood. But he has improved a lot after joining PCA under coach Tejas Arora.  Tejas makes the learning very  interesting, interactive and fun due to which kids look forward for the classes and love to challenge themselves.   Many thanks to the coach and we look forward for many more sessions of coaching under Tejas.
