At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (August 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Asia Pacific (Australia, Singapore and New Zealand)!

 

1. Akshay Ganga Reddy Nasireddy

“Akshay is 7 years old and currently lives in Singapore. He is very active kid and interested in learning new things. He always likes to play Basketball, Badminton and other outdoor games. He has developed passion for chess around a year back and learned basics before joining Premier Chess Academy in June 2021. With guidance of his chess teacher Mr. Rajesh Nayak, he has gained more interest in chess and has become a better player. Thank you.”

2. Valerie Wyanet Yeo

“Valerie is 9 years old living in Singapore. She has passion for Chess as it helps to develop her logical thinking and build her self-confidence. Thank you PCA to provide remote classes for kids to learn comfortably at home. ☺”

3. Diya Dhanya Nishanth

“Diya is a 11-year-old girl who lives in Australia. She is a delightful person and trusts her own abilities and knows that she has value. She has a personality that revolves around her goals and improving her situation. Chess was introduced to her by her uncle. Since then, she has shown a keen interest and expressed a desire to know more. We came to hear about PCA and decided to enroll Diya in it. Diya finds PCA classes very fascinating and engaging. Apart from chess, Diya plays Netball. She has many friends, and her friends see her as a pleasure to be around.”

4. Aashrith Ponnam

“Aashrith had started showing keenness in playing chess ever since he joined the Premier Chess Academy. He not only improved his chess skills but also his interactive skills to share his views openly during learning sessions. Thanks to Rajat sir for creating such a friendly environment in addition to nurturing Aashrith’s abilities in chess by patiently explaining the concepts and giving constant feedback.”

5. Akshaya Sree Jetti

“Akshaya Sree Jetti is 10 years old and lives in Singapore. She is smart and active to participate in all activities. She was introduced to chess since May 2021. She is showing her enthusiasm in chess. Apart from chess she is also interested solving rubics cube puzzels & reading books. We are happy that we have chosen Premier chess academy , though classes are virtual but the guidance & support has improved her skills in playing chess. Vaibhav has made the class fun & my kid started learning moves in fun way. Now we observe our kid is very progressive and happy to play and participate in tournaments. 6. Jainam Doshi

“Jainam is a 10-year-old boy living in Singapore. He is a very active and energetic kid. He is quite passionate about outdoor sports like cricket, badminton, basketball, swimming, skateboard to name a few. He also likes to solve Rubik’s cubes. He started learning chess with PCA in early 2021 and ever since he gained interest & enjoy playing it. Initially, he felt pressure to play the match under limited fixed time and was losing a couple of matches but slowly he gained patience to understand the strategies and is now faster with his moves. Looking forward to further enhance his skills and fine-tune his strategies under the guidance of his Coach Aabhas.”

“Jainam is a joyful child. He is very punctual for classes and makes sure to never miss a single session. Jainam’s improvement in classes is very much appreciable. Recently I have seen Jainam being very much attentive in the class and he pays full attention to all the topics which are discussed. In the practice sessions also Jainam tries to give his level best. The good thing about Jainam is that he takes his losing games as learning lessons. In the classes, while we analyze his games, he notes down his mistakes and makes every possible effort to overcome them. I am very much optimistic about Jainam’s growth in the world of chess Good work Jainam, I am happy to see you working like that.”

7. Priam Tiwari

“Priam is a very sensible and responsible 11 year old. To keep himself engaged and his mind activated he likes to play games like Minecraft, monopoly, lego and chess. He also has his own YouTube channel and loves to read and play music . His favourite book is Harry Potter series. He started playing chess a couple of years ago but his passion increased when he participated in an interschool tournament and was among top few students. Priam has been enjoying his classes in PCA and really likes his class with his coach Darpan. His game is improving everyday and he loves to try new moves and openings with his Dad and friends.”

“Priam is very great Player and has a great calculations skill he learns very quickly and apply this thing quickly in practices session. He loves mostly middle game. I wish him all the best, he has a great strength to become a good chess player, I saw his interest towards chess increase exponentially day by day. All the best to Priam for upcoming practice session and chess tournament”

Selection Criteria – August 2021: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
