Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.
Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (August 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!
1. Aagney Bijil
“Aagney is an eight-year-old boy who lives in the Sultanate of Oman and is in grade three. He had a chess obsession since he was seven years old. He began playing chess at Premier Chess Academy in November 2020 with basic chess knowledge, but he has grown more interested and enthusiastic about the game. His chess passion has risen since joining PCA, and all credit goes to coach Mr. Anshul Bathla. His classes are so informative, entertaining, and participatory that Aagney never wants to miss one. He looks forward to his weekly chess lessons and chess puzzles. We’ve seen a significant improvement in Aagney. We owe PCA and Mr. Anshul Bathla a debt of gratitude for mentoring and supporting him through his chess adventure. Thank you, and best wishes.”
Coach feedback on Aagney :
“Aagney is a very sincere boy. He is always on time in the class and follows all my instructions even after the class he does exactly what I tell him to do, and his habit of doing things with all his efforts is making him into the best player in his category, I am sure he will achieve many fleets in the field of chess when he starts participating in the school level and in his category. All the best to him for future endeavours.”

2. Hiren Girish
“Hiren Girish is 8 years old, lives in Muscat, Oman. He is very focused and enthusiastic about whatever he puts his hands on. He plays sports like cricket and football and also video games. During his free time, he plays chess with his online friends and tries to solve chess puzzles as much as possible. By seeing this competitiveness and enthusiasm we thought to enroll him in a chess academy. He joined Premier Chess Academy on 15th Feb 2021. Since then, there was growth not only in his chess-based skills but also has improved in analytical thinking. Thank you, PCA and coach Baivab sir for teaching Hiren.”
Coach feedback on Hiren :
“Hiren is extremely hard-working and always ready to take up challenges. At such a young age his passion and dedication to the game is really commendable. He never gets upset for any down falling rather he keeps up his pace and continues to put effort with more dedication. He is a very regular kid, never missed classes nor practice sessions. His performance in this month is praiseworthy since apart from mastering the “art of fighting losing position ” and “implementing the learned concepts ” he overcame the weakness of playing fast and not looking for opponent threats. He has increased his lichess rating by a significant margin and constantly got the top three position in practice sessions and tournaments which really makes him a worthy star of this month. He has also solved a huge amount of puzzles in a short time which proves his commitment to the game. Hope he continues to perform well and achieve his dreams in the long run. Being a coach I really feel lucky to have “Hiren” and wishing him to have an extremely successful life.”
