“Meet Rishaan – mischievous fifth grader from Carmel, Indiana, with a king’s eye for strategy and a knight’s love for adventure. His love of chess started when he was 5 years old, watching his friend setting up his chess board. He really enjoys solving the puzzles in chess. 6. Srihith Raaghavan
“Hard work, passion, and strength is what drives Srihith, a young but empowered 6-year-old boy who lives in Basking ridge, to push himself to his limits in chess. He started his journey about 6 months ago, playing just for fun and thrill but soon became a serious boy whose mind was occupied by his admiration to grow in every day. No matter the number of wins or losses, he always finds a way to pick himself up and find a way to push through the obstacle, whether that was trying to get a checkmate or keep his mind in the game. Even outside of the competitive environment of the game, he is a natural entertainer, always managing to shine a contagious smile to all he encounters. Srihith is one we may call an optimistic go-getter. We’ve seen this from him at a young age, always cultivating new skills while refining his weaknesses.
