At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted the below students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.
Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (December 2020) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!
1. Devansh Gupta
“Devansh Gupta started chess coaching with premier chess Academy in July 2020. He immediately found a lot of interest in this classic game. The schedule and training provided by Mr Siddharth Bhat and academy helps him keep his interest. He practices two hours a day. I hope he excels further under the guidance of his coach Mr Siddharth Bhat”.
Coach feedback on Devansh:
“Devansh is extremely enthusiastic in chess! As per her sister he plays around 6-8 hours of chess starting from morning! Only 6 years of age, where coach work is extremely hard to make the kid learn the game, he makes my work extremely easy! Not showing too much emotion when losing is one good characteristic in him which gives him a learning attitude after losing. He is extremely creative in chess which also makes him special”.

2. Samridh Kundu
“Samridh is 9 years old and studying in yr4. His favourite subject is math. His favourite sport is football and cricket. He plays football in his school and academy squad. Samridh has always been a very outward driven boy. He first started playing chess in his school and slowly he took interest in it. Then we found Premiere Chess academy as a summer activity course but Samridh started liking the classes and moreover with all the tournaments and learnings he developed an interest on Chess and now he is really into it. Chess helped Samridh to slow down and nurture his thinking ability. Thank you Coach Abhishek for guiding and helping him out”.
Coach feedback on Samridh:
Samridh is very consistent in his game performance. He catches the concepts very fast. He is really interested in the game, and likes to know more and more about it by doing more and more research. It clearly shows his love and passion towards the game. I believe if he maintains the same consistency and dedication towards the sport, he can be a great Chess player.

3. Ahaan Dawar
“Hi, my name is Ahaan and I am a 10-year-old. I picked up chess as a hobby because I enjoy the way one has to come up with different tactics to win. It all started after I bought my first chess board from the tickets earned during my visit to an amusement park. My father taught me the basics and now I have learnt a lot with my classes in PCA. Thanks to Abhishek Sir. But what I enjoy the most is when I sometimes manage to win against my father. Other than chess, I like reading, making paper planes and video games”.
Coach feedback on Ahaan:
“Ahaan is a talented player and is showing consistent improvement in the game. He is very passionate towards the sport. One thing I can see about him, if he is passionate about something, he tries to give his best there, this quality is helping him in shaping up his game skills. Hope he continues the same passion and love for the game and does wonders in chess”.

4. Yugesh Thiruvengadam Nethaji
“Yugesh Thiruvengadathan is a 6-year-old intelligent boy. From the early age we use to see the phase of his learning skills. As a parent our first thought was what Mr. Emanuel Lasker once said “When you see a good move, look for a better one” this made up to put him with Premier Chess Academy under the coach guidance of Mr. Ravi Kant Tiwari. Yugesh is very proactive for his age and he has a keen interest to read too. His interest is towards science fiction. As a parent we are very proud for him getting the star of the month within a short span of 4months in class and we are sure that with a coach like Mr. Ravi, he will outperform soon”.
Coach feedback on Yugesh:
“Yugesh, is only 6 years old and he is the most consistent kid I got. He plays every Practice session regularly and top his age group! Looking his age, and consistency he brings is impeccable. He is the one to watch for in the future, he has high potential in chess!”.

We would take this opportunity to thank PCA – with their wonderful teaching skills he has been able to accomplish into a better player”.
Coach feedback on Gauthem:
“Gauthem is extremely talented in chess. During exams also he takes time to chess and its kind of a great passion for him to always play chess. His sister is also taking class with him and when he doesn’t perform well in session’s, he has the urge to win and win so that he feels good afterwards! He never gives up and wants to take revenge then only with his opponent which is rare to find when kids lose as they get demoralised, but not Gauthem”.
