At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Niranjan S Menon
” Niranjan S Menon developed his interest in Chess a year ago and he is trained by Anirudhan sir for the last 1 year. He is now able to analyze the game well and at times able to predict the possible moves to be played by his opponent. He is a 3rd grade student at Our Own School, Al Warqa. He is keen to play with his friends of the academy and he likes challenges. “

2. Tia Paloma Menezes
” Tia is 9 years old, studying in Class 4 at FAIPS (DPS), Kuwait. A very intelligent girl excelling in her academics, but not limited to it. She has been learning piano from the tender age of 4years and is very passionate about music and dance since a young age. She loves to learn new things and picks up everything she is taught with a lot of enthusiasm. Currently, along with her music and dance, she has developed a keen interest in chess and swimming which keeps her mind and body fit. “

I like the way she tries to overcome every challenge I put her into and she gives her 100% for any task/challenge given to her. 3. Sarvesh Senthil Kumar
” S.sarvesh is 11 old ,studying 7th grader at buds Public School dubai, He is good academic as well. He loves reading books,playing football and ice cream. He loves playing chess and is always eager to learn new strategies each session. Thanks to PCA and coach Mr.Mihir for guiding and motivating him. “

4. Alesya Shamsuri
” Alesya Shamsuri is 14 years old from Malaysia. She is a Grade 9 student of Imas international school in Malaysia. She is genius and is curious about a lot of things and likes to encourage people. Her interests include public speaking ,Taekwondo, K-pop, music, chess and watching YouTube. She is a member of Rainbow Gavel Toastmasters club and has a green belt in Taekwondo. She and her sister Rania have created an online chess club to teach Malaysian children in Saudi Arabia and Middle East. Her mission is to encourage and teach chess to other kids around the globe. She is interested about Chess and it has become integral part of her life now. She likes to attend the practice sessions and to solve puzzles. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Premier Chess academy & her Coach Mr. Rajat Malik and Mr. Ravi Kant for the unique experience and wisdom poured on her. He is an inspiration and extraordinary mentor. We are confident that she would become an exceptional player one day with the help of her coach.”

5. Aadhya Bopannaalva
” Aadhya is 9 years old. She studies in Birla public School, Doha . She is an ardent learner, enthusiastic. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She loves to play basketball, chess and piano. She started playing chess to spend quality time with her grandfathers during her vacation when she was 7. What started as a hobby has been taken to the next level due to excellent training by PCA. She is developing her mindfulness, concentration and critical thinking due to this wonderful game of chess. I would like to thank Coach Raksha for her patience and support.”

6. Abdulla Zulfikar Dhanse
” Abdulla is a 9-year-old boy living in Bahrain. He is studying in year 4 at Nadeen school Bahrain. Abdulla always loved Lego and considers himself a Lego die-hard fan. He is also a passionate drummer and loves drumming rock songs. Abdulla is very fond of sports and loves playing cricket and football. On weekends he enjoys riding bicycle and playing on his play station. At the age of 8 Abdulla was introduced to chess by his father. He started playing chess occasionally at home until he found the Chess Academy. Initially he used to not enjoy it so much, but with the guidance from his mentors and teachers as well as meeting new friends, his interest in chess got bigger. Abdulla now always looks forward to his chess class and is always keen on learning new moves. We would like to thank Tushar sir for his support and mentorship. “

Selection Criteria – December 2022:
- Regular in class and practice sessions.
- Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
- Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
- Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
- Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
