At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (January 2024) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Abeer Jetli

” Abeer Jetli is 8 years old and is studying in grade 3. He lives in Mohali district of Punjab. He started learning the basics of chess from his father after learning about the achievements of Mr. Praganandan the chess grandmaster. He started playing with his brother and then we searched for an online chess academy and came to know about PCA, and we enrolled him in that academy, and we were very lucky to have Mr Adarsh as his coach he is very talented, patient and a very good coach he makes the class very interesting that he never misses his class.”

Coach feedback on Abeer :

Abeer is a highly energetic and active boy. He is very passionate about chess. He is always attentive and excited to learn new things. Active nature, passion towards chess and hunger to learn new things make him an astonishing player. He is one of those kids who always wants to answer quickly. On top of that, most of his answers are correct. He is very keen to learn new things and apply them in the games.  Best thing I like about him is that he participates in the practice sessions regularly and always tries to perform well. I feel very happy by seeing Yuvaan’s improvement and I hope he excels, even more.

2. V Advaith Balasubramani

” Advaith, who is five years old, has become quite interested in chess recently. I initially signed him up for chess only to help him focus. However, I later realized that he had begun to show a lot of attention. We bought him a board as a surprise, and he immediately began spending at least five games a day with his grandfather and father. After ten months at Premier Academy, he is improving every day. He enjoys playing games with friends, reading books, listening to music, and acting out role plays frequently. He is a huge assistance to his mother and has a keen interest in cricket. In addition to his love of math, he also enjoys traveling. He has a long way to go in his chess journey, which has just begun.”

Coach feedback on Advaith  :

” At just five years old, V Advaith Balasubramani demonstrates an innate passion for various activities. His enthusiasm for chess, although in its early stages, is evident in his commitment to playing at least five games a day with his family. With a delightful blend of curiosity and playfulness, Advaith embraces a diverse range of interests, promising a future filled with continuous growth and exploration in various pursuits. He maneuvers with precision and efficiency, adeptly capitalizing on his opponent’s weaknesses and exploiting their mistakes to secure advantages. As his coach, I take immense pride in his achievements and eagerly look forward to witnessing his continuous growth and evolution as a chess player.”
