At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (July 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Asia Pacific (Australia, Singapore and New Zealand)!

1. Bryan Chew

“Bryan is 10 years old and is living in Singapore. He is an affectionate boy and started playing chess in February 2021. He has been very fascinated by chess which has helped him focus. Bryan has thoroughly enjoyed the PCA online lessons where he gets to interact with players of different countries. Bryan has been trying to teach his mother how to play too. Queen’s Gambit is one of his favorite Netflix shows. Bryan also enjoys swimming and playing the piano. Special thanks to Coach Aabhas for guiding and encouraging him all these months.”

Coach feedback on Bryan :

“Bryan is a very obedient child. His class performance is remarkable! Bryan is very quick at solving puzzles and he also understands all the new concepts with ease. Once he learns a new topic, then he tries to apply them in the practice sessions. Most of the time he is able to execute them perfectly but sometimes he is not able to. The good thing is Bryan accepts his failures as a new learning opportunity and strives for improvement. His consistent efforts are very much appreciated. Well done Bryan, all my best wishes are for you!”
