At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (July 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

 

1. Hamzah Ahmed Ramadan

“Hamza had no experience in chess before. He went to visit his grandparents and his grandfather was very good at chess, so he showed hamzah the basics of chess and hamzah started understanding how to play chess. Hamzah started to play 1:1 against his grandfather. After 4 years Hamzahs mom encouraged him join a chess program which then made hamzah a good player at chess. He started playing chess tournaments and started getting 7th place 5th place and his coach Aakash played 1v1 with him and hamzah was the longest time playing with him.”

“Hamza is a very dedicated boy who has great passion for chess and interest too, during the class trying to learn everything and listens very carefully with always good and logical question to understand things more deeply. 2. Joel arun

“Joel started playing chess with his brother during the lockdown period in Qatar last year. Soon we noticed that he is really passionate about chess. Since we couldn’t guide him beyond a particular limit, we started searching for chess classes and we came across an advertisement of Premier Chess Academy in Facebook. He attended a trial session with coach, Jeet Singh sir and he found it really helpful & interesting. Since then he is eagerly attending the coaching sessions as well as the Practice tournaments. He tries to improve his tactics day by day. Thanks to PCA & Jeet Singh sir. Apart from chess, he enjoys playing keyboard & dancing.”

3. Kian Assad Khan

“Kian is a curious child, very enthusiastic when it comes to learning new things . I remember her coming to me and asking about chess next day she went on to explore more about the game on her own. Looking at her curiosity we felt the need to help her and came across PCA. We enrolled her now she is much confident about her game, all thanks to her coach .He makes her environment very comfortable and makes her learn the game in fun way .She eagerly waits for her class and practice sessions and attends them regularly .Thanks to PCA and hard work of the coach that Kian is developing well in this field .Hope to see her prosper in coming future .We as parents offer our heartfelt gratitude to entire PCA team .”

4. Joshua

“Joshua is 7 years old and a grade 2 student based in Qatar. He loves to read books and play chess with his dad. Having had joined PCA in November last year as a complete novice, he was able to quickly grasp the concepts and strategies of the game and move up to the intermediate level. He looks forward to his classes with coach Keshavendra each week with much eagerness and excitement. Thank you, team PCA for being with Joshua on each step of his journey to becoming a chess champion someday :)”

5. Nehasri Jagannath

“Neha is a curious and cheerful 11yr old in seventh grade. She is very fond of drawing, painting, miniature art and reading. Previously she used to play chess occasionally with family members. We noticed she showed great interest while playing. Hence we enrolled her in PCA. Mr. Pushkar, her coach is the key person for her deep understanding and interest. His valuable appreciation, encouragement and his patience while teaching has helped Neha to develop immense interest in Chess. In a short span, she has developed good skill with the help of her coach. She practices the chess puzzles very often. Most importantly she enjoys and looks forward to the classes and practice sessions. This game and coaching has given a boost to her confidence. Thank you Mr. Pushkar and PCA.”

6. Hrithik Rakesh

“Hrithik Rakesh is 9 years old and stays in Dubai, UAE .He started playing casually with his father and soon we realized that he has a natural flair for chess. Recognizing that, we enlisted him with PCA. His coach is Mr. Rajat Malik and he has helped him in having deeper understanding of the game of chess. He has moved steadily to be a tactical thinker and has been able to continually improve his game. He really enjoys playing and further developing his game through practice sessions. His chess journey has also helped him to be more focused, improve his memory and perspective.”

7. Mohammad Rayyan Meher

“Mohammad Rayyan Meher is 12 years old and lives in Sharjah, UAE. Rayyan started to play for fun but his passion for chess got enhanced once he joined the Premier Chess Academy. Now he loves chess so much that he plays online in most of his free time and watches chess tips and tricks on YouTube. Thanks a lot to his coach Mr Rajesh Nayak for making his classes so much engaging and igniting his passion for chess.”

8. Aarush Amit Sapkal 

“Aarush is a 12-year-old boy and we came to know about premier chess academy through Facebook. I registered Aarush. So, he will engage with thoughtful game rather than playing computer games, watching YouTube game video. I am surprised to see that he liked and enjoyed chess classes so much and he will not miss any class, practice session. credit goes to his mentor as well. He teaches well so in short duration he grasps and taking interest. Everyday practice class is a best factor about premier academy so kids will be always in touch what they learn. 9. Ayushman Das

“He is 9 years old Basically he is from odisha, India but now living in OMAN. He loves to run and play but due to pandemic he could not go outside. His father suggested to play chess slowly he took interest in it. His favourite pass time is painting but now he is spending more time in lichess. Thanks to his coach Mr. Rinku Jain who taught him various tricks of chess. His aim is to play in international level. God bless him.”

10. Sai Vivaahn Ravikumar

“It all started as a playtime game when we introduced chess to our son, Sai Vivaahn. Then he started playing with his sister and friends and showing interest in it. When we looked for any professional platform teaching chess from basic to advanced level we found PCA as the right choice and we feel happy to have taken a right decision. Starting from the first trial class to till date his coach Mr. Ruturaj Bhokare is giving his excellent guidance and training to excel in all games and solving puzzles. Chess has become his favorite game and he does not want take a chance to miss any practice session. Thanks to PCA team and the coach M. Ruturaj.”

11. Ann Mary Sunil 

“Ann Mary Sunil,15 years old, residing in Doha, is very enthusiastic and engages herself in various sport activities during her free time. Her main interests are lawn tennis and table Tennis. Her other hobbies are scrabble and carroms. She can easily solve Rubik’s cube in seconds. She developed interest in chess game when she started playing chess with her uncle. Later she joined Premier Chess Academy . She took practice under Shahid sir. His training helped her to improve her skills and strategies in the game. Under the guidance of Shahid sir she became very confident and feel very happy about her achievement.”

12. Ayan Bhutani

“Ayan Bhutani is 13 years old from Abu Dhabi UAE. He always had a passion for chess and he likes to learn new things and challenges. We are positively surprised with his progress and he quickly moved from beginner to Intermediate levels and now achieved Star ⭐️ of the month. It’s always not only the dedication of student but also the teacher and the organization. We must applaud the coach Mr. Siddharth Bhat. His dedication and nurturing of students is unparalleled. We are blessed to have him and Ayan has shown good growth with Mr. Bhat’s commitment. We also want to thank PCA for providing this platform in these unprecedented times. 13. Shazainuddin

“Shazain is 7 years old and in 2nd std @ ALYasmin International School, Riyadh. Within a month of joining PCA and first time with starting chess we were quite curious and PCA was the right choice. He loves the game and we have seen a dramatic increase in the grasping of concepts and decision-making ability has improved by leaps and bounds, his games tend to be fast paced and quite unpredictable. 14. Muhammed Ihsan 

“Ihsan is a kid who love to explore new things every day. He gets bored of his tablet games very often and he look for the next one’s .so I thought of introducing him to PCA chess so that he gets distracted from his multi player online games. Initially he was not at all ready to accept the change and made excuses to skip the classes. whenever I ask him about what he learned this week he will not talk about it. Slowly things changed and he started bringing chess board to me and wanted to challenge me. when ever free I started playing with him. I check mate him in 13 games and in the 14th game he check mate me and he was so happy that day. Nowadays he keeps telling me about the chess all time and make me bored. Ihsan don’t like to lose any game and always want to come first in arena. He always tells me that one day he want to check mate his tutor. I believe he is still at the entrance of chess world and Mr. Tushar Sharma sir and PCA team will mentor him to reach the hot seat of grand master. Thank you PCA for your support.”

15. Saket Salil

“Saket is in 5th grade in Gems Our Own High School Dubai and lives in Dubai. He is very interested in chess and to improve he joined Premier Chess Academy. He wants to improve his chess and wants to become a good chess player. His hobbies are playing soccer and reading books.”

16. Nainika Ann Zachariah

“Nainika is 7 years old and currently lives in Kuwait. We enrolled her for chess during the school break to help increase her concentration and problem-solving skills. She now enjoys playing chess in her free time with family and friends. She eagerly waits for her chess classes and practice sessions, all thanks to coach Vaibhav sir for all the motivation and guidance. Besides chess, she also enjoys drawing, painting and playing with her sister. As parents, we are proud of her for the noticeable progress and earning “Star of the Month” in this short span of 3 months.”

Selection Criteria – July 2021: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
