At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Nimrat Kaur Dhaliwal

” Nimrat is a 6th grader who loves everything crafty. She has a strong passion for making miniature doll houses, a variety of slimes and calligraphy. Apart from crafts, Nimrat enjoys camping, hiking, watching youtube and talking to/playing with her friends. Chess has been her interest area since she was in 2nd grade. Joining PCA has instilled more passion in her for this brainy sport. She wants to keep climbing high on Chess ratings and working towards it everyday. Coach Mr. Aabhas has been very encouraging and is a key contributor to her performances. Looking forward to new achievements in time to come! ”

Nimi is a very well-disciplined and obedient girl. She is always attentive in class and is ever ready to face challenging puzzles in class. Until now she has shown consistent improvement in her playing skills and is laser-focused on becoming a better player with each passing day. The quality which fascinates me the most about Nimi is her curious nature- she always speaks up whenever she has any doubts, instead of sitting quietly and keeping the concepts unclear. 2. Anay Patel

Anay is a 7 year old from Fremont, California. He has become hugely interested in Chess, thanks to PCA. He is always looking forward to attending the classes and training sessions. The coaches have been excellent! On the weekends, Anay’s favorite activity is spending a day at a beach. “

3. Nivrith Reddy Sabbu

Nivrith is 9 years old. He enjoys playing chess with his dad and finds true joy in winning over him. It’s been 10 months since he started learning Chess. Apart from Chess, he loves swimming and taekwondo. He learnt to think creatively and play focused. He is always encouraged by us and feels proud of his progress. 4. Shivank Padhya

Shivank is 12 years old and lives in New York. He has exceptional intuition. He enjoys playing chess. Shivank is also fond of playing cricket. Shivank is always working towards improvement and hopes to become proficient at chess. “

5. GaganDeep Reddy Pedirigari

GaganDeep is just turned 10 years old and lives in Texas. He started learning chess 4 months ago and has improved a lot after joining PCA. He learned many different techniques in training classes and started using those techniques in the tournaments. As parents, we are happy that our son has found a place to enrich his passion and skills. GaganDeep is going to 5th grade and loves Mathematics, passionate about Taekwondo and Basketball. ”

6. Anish Reddy Kamidi

” Anish is 10 years old, he is in 5th grade and lives in Washington, USA. He loves reading chapter books and spends hours reading them everyday. His most favorite thing to do every day is play soccer with his friends! Anish likes playing chess and solving Rubik’s cube.. Thanks to coach Akash for helping to improve his chess skills! ”

7. Shaurya Seth

Shaurya Seth is a 10 years old 5th grader, living in Cumming, Georgia. He loves playing chess and is an avid learner. He enjoys playing online chess games with his family in India too. Apart from chess he enjoys playing outdoors with his friends and is fond of reading too. Harry Potter and Wings of fire are his favorite book series. “

8. Shambhavi Velu

Shambhavi is eleven years old, a sixth-grader, and lives in Chicago, IL. Shambhavi started her chess class one year back; since then, I’m seeing a lot of improvement in logical thinking and improved chess games. Chess is not only learning and playing the games, but it’s also helping to take responsibility, confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills. She is very interested in playing games with others through practice sessions, and she also started playing USCF rating online and offline tournaments. 9. Krithi Vudathu

Krithi is a 9 year old girl, stepping into 4th grade this year. She is a very happy and lovable kid with lots of positive energy. She has been trained in Chess by coach Ankush where she learned so many tricks and winning techniques. Ankush tops her favorite teacher list, ever since she joined his classes. She fell in love with chess now and followed it with solving puzzles. PCA turned her into a passionate chess player. Her other hobbies are singing and painting. She is also fond of swimming and waits for summer to do outdoor swimming. Finally, last but not the least, she loves her family and likes to play with her little cute brother and teach him all naughty stuff. She likes long drives and late night ice-creams. “

10. Vihaas Reddy Chemarla

Vihaas is a 7 year old 2nd grader who loves to play chess. He started to play chess with his father as a game of interest. But soon he developed interest towards playing the game. In order to improve his skills we joined him in the chess classes. Since then he improved a lot and gave a tough time to all the opponents in whichever game he played. As he showed more enthusiasm towards chess, from the beginning he played all the daily tournaments and improved his strategies with the help of his coach. By the time of his class wherever he is, he will come and wait for the class to start. Thank you for bringing out the best in Vihaas. “

11. Deepesh Athota

” Deepesh Athota is a 10 year old, studying in 5th grade in Arizona. He has been playing chess since he was 9 years old and shows a lot of enthusiasm in the game. He always takes part in class discussion and tries his best at tournaments. Aside from doing chess he does basketball, swimming, and loves to play with his friends in the park. ”

12. Harshil Chinthapalli

Harshil is 9 years old and is in third grade. He is very joyful and full of life. He loves playing Chess, Soccer , Basketball and doing math. 13. Chethan Nair

 I’m Chethan Nair, living in Los Angeles, California. I had always loved playing chess since I was 5 years old, when my mom first taught me the game. I joined PCA a few months back and have been learning a lot since then. My coach Ashish Pattnaik has made every session fun and exciting. Other than chess, I’m an avid reader and some of the book series that I never miss are ‘I survived’, ‘Dogman’ and ‘Geronimo Stilton’. I love playing soccer too. I aspire to get better in chess and dream of attending international chess tournaments some day. “

Ridhvik is 9 year old & will be in 4th grade for next academic year. Ridhvik loves to play chess and the coach Mr Aswin Viswanath is helping him a lot to improve his moves. 15. Niharika Sudarshan

Niharika is 8 years old and is going to 3rd grade in the coming school year. Her talent is multi-dimensional apart from doing good in chess, she also excels in playing Piano, Classical-Singing, Soccer and art. She enjoys watching tv, dancing to the tunes, playing outdoors with friends and her little brother and also a great helper. 16. Aadit Noronha

” Aadit is a 14yo 9th grader living in Saratoga California. He enjoys working with Baivab in PCA on improving his chess skills, a passion he had first developed via a structured self-studying approach. Baivab has taught him various topics in the opening, middlegame , and endgame, and has propelled his learning using puzzles and open games. He has a peak rating of 1700 on chess.com (98% percentile), ranked 1st at beginners Bay Area Chess tournament in Santa Clara Convention Center and also ranked 2nd in the PCA advanced tournament online, qualifying to the final tournament where he ranked 5th. Aadit is also curious about STEM-related fields such as robotics, 3d modeling and animation. In his free time, he likes to play Valorant and basketball. ”

Aadit is a very mature and hard working boy. His commitment and dedication towards the game even after failures is what amuses me.He has been extremely regular in classes and has been regularly participating in tournaments that are being Conducted by PCA. Recently Aadit got second position in PCA Memorial Cup Qualifier and backed it up with 5th position in the Finals of the Memorial Cup making him a worthy star kid of this Month. 17. Krishna Chattanathan

Krishna is an 8-year-old, going to third grade and living in Pleasanton, California. When he started playing chess nine months ago, he did not have any interest, but with the help of coach Bhaskar, he picked up and started enjoying the game. Besides chess, Krishna loves Taekwondo, playing ping-pong, football, soccer, and reading books. When he has free time, he plays Roblox, goes to the park, and rides his bicycle around the park. “

18. Advaith Dama

” Advaith is 8yrs old, and lives in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He is a 2nd grader in a French immersion program with enthusiasm for learning new jokes rather than actual curriculum. He is really passionate about chess after starting the classes with PCA, literally, he now speaks/expresses time and days relative to his chess class, practice session and weekend tournament schedule. His most fulfilling moments are when he beats his father in chess (especially by promoting a couple of pawns). Although we have a tough time making him do other programs’ homework, we are really glad he is immersed and making progress in chess with the best support from PCA staff and coach Danish sir. ”

19. Sushith

Sushith is a 8 years old – 2nd grade student of Parkway School District from St. Louis, Missouri. He likes to play outdoor games of Soccer and cricket very much and also rides his bike during most of the occasions. He is a quick learner from his childhood and showed his interest in chess at the age of 5 years while playing with his Mom, Dad and his grandparents.  Sushith joined PCA , 5 months back with his interest. He enjoys in solving puzzles and gets excited after winning each game, weekend tournaments etc. His coach Mr. Ibin guides  Sushith in a smart way with a lot of tricks and encourages him in improving his chess skills. He moved from Beginner level to Intermediate level within a short span of time. Special thanks to PCA and appreciation to Mr Ibin for your valuable guidance and helping Sushith to enjoy chess more. 20. Vishruth

Vishruth is an 8 year old ,2nd grader from Texas U.S.. He is a quick learner & talented guy.. He loves to play Basketball & Badminton and he enjoys playing online games especially Roblox.. Now a days he likes to challenge himself with chess puzzles.. Within 3 months Vishruth became so attentive with keen interest in learning the strategy & developing the defense & hidden attacks, thanks to coach Mr.Harshit who constantly contributed towards motivating him for his success. “

21. Mahitha Sarvani Pendyala

Mahitha is a second grader and loves to play chess. She likes to play with her younger brother, color pictures and sing songs. Her coach has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation. Her teaching style has made the chess game more fun, interactive and exciting. She started as a novice player but the concepts and strategies taught by the coach helped her to improve her skills and play better each time. One of her goals every week this summer is to practice more and improve her rating. We are very glad we enrolled her in Premier Chess Academy and are excited to see her journey forward.”

23. Kyra

Kyra turned 8 this month and is excited to be in Grade 3 soon. She is very enthusiastic and keen to learn new things. Kyra loves Arts, Maths and is an avid Video Gamer. Her favorite game is Splatoon 3 and Minecraft and loves any games involving creativity. She has developed a keen interest in chess and we are glad that she joined the Premier Chess academy. She loves the way her coach Kunal Kumar explains concepts. She loves participating in tournaments which gives her an opportunity to play with various opponents and helps to improve her game and increase her confidence. “

24. Yuvaan Mamidanna

Yuvaan is a rising 3rd grader, an avid reader who lives in Seattle. He always loved playing chess and loved anything that could make his brain think. His teacher calls him a little scientist. Other than chess, he loves to play soccer, cricket , tennis and recently started learning to play Piano. He has had a great learning experience with PCA and never wants to miss any classes and tournaments. We have seen a lot of improvement in his games and are very happy with his love for the game of chess.”

25. Nakshatra Sathish

Nakshatra is in 6th grade and lives in Cleveland, Ohio. Nakshatra is a very mature, loving and kind daughter. She is a positive influencer in her school. She always makes sure her words or actions don’t hurt anyone around her. Apart from chess she also loves Piano, Flute, Swimming, Drawing, Cooking, Classical Dance and playing with her little brother. She got interested in chess when she got a chessboard as a birthday gift. She never got disappointed getting something she didn’t know to play rather she wanted to learn it. So we enrolled her in PCA, and coach Narendiran’s approach and encouraging words gave her more confidence in playing chess. 26. Jay Yelattiwar

Jay Yelattiwar is a 4th grader living in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. He loves to play and learn new moves in chess. Thanks to his Coach Omkar for his continuous inspiration, motivation and providing confidence to play with higher level players. 27. Ritvik Immidi

My son Ritvik is 12 years old. We enrolled him in Piyush Sir’s class to learn Chess about a year ago. At that time, he didn’t have much knowledge about chess, but within no time he developed not only keen interest but learnt strategy, planning, defense, hidden attack, and many tactics. He started playing well. He attends all the practice sessions and participates whenever he gets a chance. 28. Isha Baghel

Isha is 13 years old living in the Westerville city of Ohio and is currently in 8th Grade. She is a hard working, very good student in academics, a very kind and disciplined girl who likes to play Violin, watching TV and reading books apart from playing chess in her spare time. My name is Reyansh, and I’m a 10-year-old studying in fifth grade. I started learning chess two years ago and improved significantly after joining PCA. My Coach Mr. Rakesh Nayak has provided me with the confidence to make me one of the best chess players by pushing me to do more puzzles so I can improve my chess skills in my upcoming games and by making sure I do meditation to build up my imagination. Dhruv is a 8 year old  third grader from Mountain House, California. Dhruv was a complete novice when he joined PCA a year ago. Since then, Coach Ramendra Ranjan has successfully taught him and inculcated a love for the game. Tamaghna goes by the name Rik and lives in Lexington, South Carolina with his parents.. Rik is 8 years old and he just completed His 2nd grade. Rik started learning chess about a year ago. Rik has developed an acute interest in chess after joining the class of PCA Coach Mr Raunak. The new strategies that he gets to know and learn in every class has prompted him to be eager to join his class every week. My name is Nagulan Prabakaran, I am 6 years old, and I live in Bloomington, IL. I started playing chess when I was in first grade. My brother Ishanth taught me how to play chess. Karthik Mageshkumar is a 12 year old 7th grader, he lives in the Grand Canyon state Arizona. He has been practicing chess since January 2022.
