At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Tanush Gottipati

Tanush is 10 years old going to 5th grade . He is a kind and ambitious child. He loves playing chess and keep challenging himself with all the chess puzzles and want to learn more advanced moves. And become  a good chess player. His favorite sport is Basketball ,he loves reading books , drawing ,swimming and playing Minecraft .We are very proud of him and support him to great success. 2. Krishiv Routhu

Krishiv is a wonderful kid with cool attitude, easy going. His interests other than chess are swimming, playing soccer and playing with his younger brother. “

Krishiv is very dedicated kid towards chess I like his efforts to attend my class despite many times travelling and he connects while travelling and upon reaching home straight away joins my class with desktop,  his attitude for solving problems is really enthusiastic he tries till the end and many times finds the solution even for the hardest of the puzzles , I am looking forward to him achieving many fleets like this Congratulations to him upon becoming Star of the month .”

3. Abhiraj Kumar Singh

Abhiraj is a nine year old boy based out of Indiana, USA. He loved playing chess. He is with PCA for one month. His game has been improved after joining PCA. His favorite subject is Math and had been enthusiastic to learn Math. To add, Abhiraj is also interested in Taekwondo and has reached Red Belt level and is continuing to achieve Black Belt. Finally Our great thanks to his coach Ashish and the PCA for putting all their efforts to improve Abhiraj’s Chess game.”

4. Kaarthikeya

Kaarthikeya is a 9-year-old 4th grader from California. Chess was introduced to him by his dad. His father first taught him how to play chess. That inspired him and got him motivated to play more. It started a 6 months journey with Premier Chess Academy. He loves his Coach Jeet. He improved his game and won trophies in different chess tournaments. Also, Kaarthikeya is a part of a soccer team and he participated in the National league! He is well in Academics too. Our special thanks to his coach Jeet for his great efforts he put in for Kaarthikeya. He is very happy to be a part of PCA.”

5. Abyaan Sidda

Abyaan is a 7 year old first grader in Mason, Ohio . He likes to play chess , apart from chess he enjoys reading books and drawing art. He started playing chess with his dad. He liked it so much . Then along with his little brother Mayan he started learning various chess tactics from chess.com and chess books. Looking at his interest we searched for chess classes online and there we found a Premier Chess Academy. From then with coach Ayush he improved a lot with his chess tactics and gained confidence. He is eagerly waiting for his chess classes every week. The class is very interactive and engaging. Thanks to coach Ayush and PCA team.”

6. Srihaan Curpad

Srihaan is a 13 year old from New Jersey and has been playing chess for the past year. Srihaan originally began playing chess as a hobby with his friends online; however, as time passed, chess grew from a hobby of his to something he would like to pursue professionally. Srihaan also enjoys geography, cars and playing volleyball and cricket with his friends. He also sings classical Carnatic music and has completed the first of four levels. Srihaan has shown a great deal of improvement after learning and playing with his coach Baivab from the Premier Chess Academy. We would like to give his coach a huge thanks for encouraging Srihaan to continue his passion in chess.”

Srihaan is an extremely hard-working and sincere kid. At such a young age his passion and dedication towards the game is really commendable. He is always ready to learn new concepts and is eager to dive deep into understanding the game. He is a very regular kid and never missed classes nor practice sessions. His performance in this month is praise worthy since apart from analysing his games and trying to learn from his mistakes Srihaan has also been “implementing the learned concepts ” in his practice games. He has increased his lichess rating by significant margin and constantly got the top three positions in practice session tournaments which really makes him worthy star of this month. He has also solved a huge amount of puzzle in a short span of time which really proves his commitment towards the game. Hope he continues to perform well and achieve his dreams in the long run. 7. Jahnavi Chagarlamudi

Jahnavi is a good girl and she expresses her love and care towards her family members and friends. She shows consideration of other people’s feelings, values their opinions and treats them with kindness. She loves to play with her friends. Our special thanks to her coach Benson sir and he used to listen to whatever Jahnavi was asking and answer all of them slowly and calmly without any hesitation.”

8. Nikshith Harshan Alagankancharla

Nikshith Harshan Alagankancharla is a 7-year-old who is currently in 1st grade. He discovered his passion for chess and has since been playing the game. He enjoys participating in arena tournaments and playing with his friends. Solving puzzles is also something that he finds enjoyable. Nikshith also has a fondness for playing the piano, singing, and drawing. He began his chess classes in March 2023 and within a 2 months, showed significant improvement in his game strategies, analysis, and tactics, which helped enhance his creativity. His younger sister, who is 5 years old, was inspired by Nikshith and has recently started her own chess classes at PCA. He is grateful to have Mr. Devansh Singh as his coach and would like to express gratitude for his efforts and motivation. His coaching style is friendly, and methods of presentation are top-notch. We have seen a remarkable improvement in Nikshith’s game in the past few months, thanks primarily to Devansh’s guidance.”

9. Raghuram

Raghuram is 7 year old and has been with PCA since December of 2022. He started his chess classes as a newbie and  has become an active learner of chess since then. He loves to play chess with his Dad. He enjoys joining chess classes and eagerly looks forward to the classes & puzzles every week. Additionally Raghuram is also a Mridangam player. He recently completed his first Tani Avartanam. His other interests include TaekWonDo and Art. Our special thanks to his coach Girish sir who has been very supportive and makes chess concepts easily understandable for the kids. He is very patient, approachable and constantly encourages the kids to improve their chess playing skills. “

10. Advith Yellampally

Advith started chess last summer and likes to play with his dad and cousins. Advith love to swim and enjoys outdoor activities.”

11. Samarth Shailesh Wagh

Samarth is a second grader who turned 8 in March 2023 is from Jersey City, NJ. He studies in Nicolas Copernicus School (PS 25) Jersey City. Samarth enjoys reading books a lot and is a frequent visitor of Jersey City public library. He also has collections of books. He started gaining interest in reading through Magic Tree house series books and loves them a lot. He also likes to read books like Dogman, Judy and Moody, Captain Underpants. Apart from books he loves playing soccer and Chess. He is good in studies too and loves Mathematics. He is very kind hearted but mischievous at the same time. He gets along well with his friends. His love for chess grew recently and he joined the PCA in January. He enjoys joining chess classes and eagerly looks forward to the classes every week. He also actively participates in chess practice sessions and loves winning chess matches. In the past 5 months he has learnt many techniques in chess and will continue to learn more.  Coach Harshraj has been very supportive and has been a very good coach who makes chess concepts easily understandable for the kids. 12. Shreyas Methuku

” Shreyas was 1 year old when we came to USA California, and he use to play with magnetic numbers and alphabets when he was at that age and slowly when he turned 2 he started reading two letter words other than toys, that is when I understood that he wants to learn something new.so I started reading with him by then and before joining preschool he use to read books so his teachers hot surprised by him and later in he started doing math additions and sudoku puzzles, he learn Spanish numbers up to 100 when he was 3 and half age and later because got interested into world map so he  himself explored all the USA map and 50 states and capitals then got into world map and you don’t believe he will know all the 195 countries and capitals and he use to make the specific maps with playdough all the time.so finally he went to kindergarten but still he was not satisfied with what they are teaching at school so he use to do math additions and stuff at home and so many other things but he is not interested to play outdoor activities ,that is when i got to know about PCA from one if my friend, as Shreyas likes to explore new things about learning, I thought to give a try and yeah with a teacher like Hrishikesh  he enjoyed his way of teaching and now he wins against his dad and brother and many more online friends, and he always talks about chess and watched videos of grandmasters and so on. We are glad this worked out for him. We are so happy to see his progress after joining PCA and hoping to see more. ”

13. Atharv Sharma

Atharv is 7 years old and in second grade at Orchard Hill Elementary School, NJ. He is full of energy, love, and laughter. Atharv loves to read and play soccer, tennis, and video games. Achintya is an 11-year-old boy, based out of Texas, USA. He started playing chess 3 months before with Premier Academy. He loves to play chess. 15. Abinav Kumar

Abinav Kumar is a 13-year-old boy currently residing in Andover, Massachusetts. After seeing some of his friends play and noticing its growing popularity on the internet, his interest to learn chess grew and he joined PCA as a beginner. In PCA, he developed his skills to an extent that he would have never thought was possible in the past. His coach, Prakrati Manodhya, helped him understand the basic concepts and taught him the essential techniques that developed his skill set. She would often review the games he played and offered him additional classes, which greatly helped him to be a better player. He hopes to start playing chess at a higher level in the near future.”

16. Arnav Mahesh Tanpure

Arnav is a 9 years old , based out of Texas, USA.  He started playing Chess when he was 6 years old. Since then , he has won many Chess tournaments in the school. He also participated in the National Jr High School Chess Tournament in 2022.He like to solve chess puzzles , he secured 1st rank in the UIL Chess Puzzle tournament 2023. His hobbies include playing soccer, taekwondo, coding, solving math problems and many more. He joined PCA in Oct 2022. He likes to attend Chess classes due to Rajat sir’s style of teaching chess. After conceptual class/theory, he allows kids to play games and teach them through their mistakes in the games. I would like to say thanks to Rajat sir for always supporting and encouraging Arnav to play better and excel in Chess.”

17. Sritha

Sritha is 10 years old. She is a very energetic and focused girl. She loves playing and learning chess, she likes to play with her dad every night. Apart from chess, she also loves reading and drawing. She plays badminton very well. We appreciate all the kind of support and helpful guidance she has received from her PCA coach Rakesh Gurung. 18. Samuel Saadhak Raj Kanaparthy

Samuel Kanaparthy is an upcoming 3rd grader who enjoys playing soccer, chess, and swimming. Additionally, involvement in church and retention in Bible verses has led him to get several awards and recognition. With his increasing knowledge of chess through the help of Coach Raunak Gupta, practice, and tournaments, Samuel hopes to become a chess master & play for his school in the near future. 19. Pranav Arvind

Pranav started to show interest in chess when he was 5 years. From identifying the pieces to arraign them on the board, he has now grown to make strategic moves. 20. Arnav Reddy Kumbum

Arnav is 10 years old and is going to 5th grade.  Ever since his uncle introduced him to chess, Arnav was hooked. He has had a huge interest in chess for a long time and regularly competes in tournaments and contests. Along with chess, he loves painting, swimming, and soccer. Arnav is very passionate about art, engineering, and math. We want to thank PCA & Coach Sahil Batra for inspiring Arnav and helping him develop his skills in chess. 22. Sriyan

Sriyan is 8 years old and studying 2nd Grade from Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. He shows interest in chess from 2022 when his brother Rishith and his friends are playing. Based on interest we joined him in Premier Chess Academy, with the help of the coach he learned beautiful techniques and gave fair challenges to his brother and friends. 23. Vasist Vuppala

Vasist is 13 years old and soon will be starting 8th grade. He has developed a newfound passion for chess. He possesses a natural aptitude for learning and quickly absorbs new concepts. During his leisure hours, he enjoys spending time with his friends.  A big thanks to coach Shekhar for helping him to learn various strategies, which have contributed significantly to his growth in the game.”

24. Adhrith Visesh Shetty

Adhrith Visesh is a 9-year-old enthusiast from New Jersey, USA. He loves and is always curious to play chess. Initially he just had fun but later with help of coach Shriram he started showing interest in the game and started to develop his logic to play chess.  Added to chess Visesh is also a very good cricket player. 25. Abhiram Penumatcha

Abhiram Penumatcha is an 11-year-old boy from Texas, USA. He is always full of energy and active to do different things. He has many hobbies like playing Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Piano, Video Games. He loves to swim. His most favorite hobby is to read books. He started his Journey with PCA in November 2022. Aarush Chokshi is a seventh-grade student. He is from Atlanta, Georgia. It has been more than a year since Aarush joined PCA Academy. He really loves playing chess, in his free time he plays with his friends. 27. Saisha Regati

Saisha Regati is a 12-year-old girl living in Maryland, USA. She is a 6th grader on the honors list in school. She speaks 2 languages Telugu and English. She is also learning Bharatanatyam and likes to dance, while her interests include participating in Debates, writing stories, and playing Chess. Chess was her interest in the beginning and now it is slowly becoming a habit of playing every day. Chess is always an eye-opener to making decisions and improving the thought process of dealing with life situations. Saisha is a calm-going, focused, and very helpful girl and always tries her best.”
