At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (March 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Aadinarayan B

” Aadinarayan is an 8 year old boy from Kerala – India, Studying in Class IV. He entered into the game of chess last year, easily learned the rules and showed interest in this game. Started his Formal Coaching with Premier Chess Academy from 2021. He got very good support from the team and his Trainer Sri Akash Tiwari. This is a very encouraging environment for him and I am looking forward to more ambitions. ”

Adi is an excellent and ambitious boy who likes to learn chess and keeps on improving with a lot of effort he puts in. 2. Reyansh Garg

Reyansh is a logical and curious child. He is going to be 10 in another three months. He is very good at math and is very passionate about playing lawn tennis and chess. When he picks an activity, he becomes passionate and really spends a lot of time mastering it. Examples are carrom, TT, badminton, Abacus and Rubik’s cube. He started playing chess with his mom/dad when he was 6 and started formal coaching in Jan 2022. He has been learning super techniques from his Super Coach Mr. Ashish. We are grateful to Ashish for making chess so very interesting to our son.”

Reyansh is very talented and active, he takes everything as a challenge and tries to achieve it. 3. Riddhiman Das

” Riddhiman Das is an 11 year old intelligent and compassionate child from Pune. He loves reading books and is interested in topics related to Astronomy & Wildlife. Besides this he loves to play Chess. We would like to thank Baivab sir for bringing out the best in him. ”

” Riddhiman is an extremely hard-working and sincere kid. At such a young age his passion and dedication to the game are really commendable. He is always ready to learn new concepts and is eager to dive deep into understanding the game. He is a very regular kid, never misses classes or practice sessions. His performance this month is praiseworthy since apart from analyzing his games and trying to learn from his mistakes Riddhiman has also been “implementing the learned concepts ” in his practice games. He has increased his lichess rating by a significant margin and constantly got the top three position in practice session tournaments which really makes him a worthy star of this month. He has also solved a huge amount of puzzles in a short span of time which really proves his commitment to the game. Hope he continues to perform well and achieve his dreams in the long run. Being a coach I really feel lucky to have “Riddhiman” as my student and wish him to have an extremely successful life.”

4. Varshini Karnati

Varshini is a 10 year old child. She is a very hardworking girl. She loves playing chess. Her hobbies are drawing, Reading books and playing chess. She has good concentration and grasping power. She is very friendly in nature. She coordinates with everyone easily. We are very thankful to Bhaskar sir for taking more care of Varshini and giving more support in her success.”

Varshini is a very intelligent and hardworking girl. She is very sincere during her sessions. She is really a very ambitious girl, always proactive towards new topics. Her grasping capacity and accepting the failures are really wonderful. She is so disciplined that she never misses a practice session. She is very friendly and helpful towards her batchmates. She is very obedient and well-mannered. She has been posing all those qualities that she completely deserves being the Star Kid of the Month. 5. Arsh Tyagi

Arsh is a 9 years old boy with a creative mindset and keen interest in sports. He plays badminton and cricket regularly. He also records short acting videos for his channel. He started chess to fill in his evenings during covid break. It has now become an important part of his day. He looks forward to the classes and practice sessions. All the credit goes to his coach Kunal sir who has helped him form a good foundation.”

Arsh is a good student who always joins the class on time. He plays the tournament regularly and solves puzzles every day. He is a chess enthusiast and always excited to learn new tactics and moves. 6. Anish

Anish is very lovable and funny.  We as parents are very proud of his talent. He always likes to spend time with his grandparents and they love him very much. Anish is equally strong in math which is a result of his chess calculations. Anish is also a singer and has won many competitions in singing. He likes to play cricket and volleyball in his free time. Cycling is one of his favorite hobbies. In school also Anish is a lovable student for all the teachers. Anish is always keen to learn new things. We are very thankful to coach Narendiran sir for bringing out Anish’s chess talent in this short period of time.”

Anish was very active in every theory class. He is very punctual. He always tries to play every practice tournament in a week. Practicing every day, attending every practice tournament & also taking care of his school academic work – no words other than excellent. His passion for chess is really high. His role model in Chess was GM Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa. This indicates his hunger for achievement. I wish him all the very best for his upcoming achievements in his long journey of chess.”

7. Medida Geetha Sri

Geetha Sri is 7 years old and studying in 4th standard. She is an intelligent and hard-working girl, and also a fast learner. She likes solving puzzles and loves drawing. Chess has become her favourite game ever since she joined omkar sir’s classes. She is really thankful to him. She is very comfortable by the way he teaches. So, she is getting more and more interested in playing chess day by day.”

8. Akshat

Akshat is a 13 year old kid studying in class 9. He is an active and bright child in academics. He is very interested in playing chess. It doesn’t matter how long he plays chess, he never gets tired. He has a lot of curiosity to learn new things. Chess helps him improve his concentration skills. He also likes to solve Rubik’s cube. Above all he likes his coach Raunak sir and his teaching style.”

9. Gudla Sreekar Reddy

” Sreekar is 8yrs old and is a Grade 2 student in Hyderabad. To keep him engaged during the lockdown period, his father started playing chess with him. With the interest shown by him in the game, we have enrolled him in PCA in Aug ’20. In the last one and half years, he has learnt a lot and improved his game to a greater extent. Apart from learning chess, he is also learning Karate and is a purple belt holder. He loves to play with friends in his free time. We are very Thankful to his Coach Mr. Ravikant Tiwari for his guidance and encouragement. When we were skeptical about Sreeker’s enrollment, Sir guided us a lot in the trial class and helped us in making a decision. Hoping Sreekar would reach greater heights in chess in the days to come!! ”

10. Devansh Das

Devansh is an 8 year old and charming looking kid. The best thing about him is the curiosity level he has. He loves to play Chess as well as Boxing. In school he was said to be “Vivacious and Anticipate”. We are extremely glad to see his improvement in Chess and strategies in the game.”

11. Sushen

” Sushen is a very enthusiastic boy and always eager to learn new skills and concepts. He loves to play cricket and chess. He also enjoys swimming and watching TV during his leisure time. All thanks to Abhishek sir, Ravikant sir and Shahid sir his coaches who helped him nurture keen interest in chess.”

12. Akarsh CS

Akarsh is a 9 year old adorable and lovable child, studying in Grade-3.  He was least interested in chess prior to joining PCA but now he is passionate about it. Whenever he finds himself free, he will be playing chess. At some point of time, we were worried about his studies but later we realized he is managing both in a good manner. Apart from chess he likes cycling, solving puzzles, playing with his younger brother & watching cartoons. We must definitely thank Utkarsh sir in the journey of chess learning for making his skills stronger & improving his ability of analytical thinking.”

13. Abhyuday Deo

” Abhyuday is a brilliant child from Delhi. He is 7 years old. He is always prepared to play with good players. He is always keen in learning about chess and very excited about his classes. He never fails to miss his classes. He is also good at some valiant things like three checks, standard and king of hill also keen about learning the history of chess and players. We are grateful to his coach Vaibhav Sharma for such good guidance and taking more interest in the game. He likes playing tournaments with passion all thanks to sir. ”

Selection Criteria – March 2022: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
