At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Aarushh Navis

Aarushh is a 10 year old, residing in the western suburbs of Chicago. Aarushh has been playing chess nearly an year and a half now, But his chess skills improved considerably after he joined PCA, under the guidance of his coach. His coach Mr.Aabhas Jindal is remarkable. He has helped Aarushh realize his true potential. Aarushh looks forward to his chess sessions with him. Apart from chess, Aarushh’s passions include reading books ,playing keyboard ,solving Rubik’s cube and drawing.”

Aarushh is a very mature and talented kid in all respects. His attitude of accepting failure and also trying to learn from them is praise-worthy. He is a sincere and disciplined kid who usually doesn’t miss out on any practice session. He is a very fast learner and extremely passionate about playing chess. 2. Madhav Patel

He enjoys playing chess , he loves his family a lot and keeps everyone happy. Little naughty and adjusts himself with anyone. He likes playing outdoors with friends. He is learning how to control his emotions.”

3. Ashwath Kakani

” Ashwath is a 1st grader who lives in Prosper, TX. He loves to solve Rubik’s Cubes and build Legos. He is fun loving and very curious to learn new things. He showed a lot of interest in chess when his dad introduced him to chess. He joined PCA about a year ago and he improved his chess skills. He never wants to miss his chess classes and practice sessions. Thanks to Mr. Amit for keeping him motivated and helping him learn new techniques.”

4. Kiara Kushwaha

” Kiara is  5 year old and will start kindergarten in August this year. She lives in Frisco, Texas. Apart from Chess she loves playing Piano and Singing. She is a very efficient Reader too. Her favorite book series are Frozen, Dogman and all sorts of story books.  She also loves playing outdoors and spending time with her friends. She was 4 when she started taking interest in Chess watching her brother playing and soon learned the names and respective places of all the pieces. She joined PCA just after turning 5. She enjoys learning with Coach Anish and literally waits  for her chess classes every time. Thanks to the Coach for making chess class so fun and interesting.”

5. Abheek Gangasani

Abheek Reddy Gangasani is 10 years old, studying 5th grade and lives in Jacksonville, FL. Apart from Chess, he likes sports like Swimming and Tennis. He likes playing Piano, vocal and loves to play with his little sister. Thanks to his coach mr. Ankush sir for helping him to improve his chess skills.”

6. Kola Venkat Karthikeya Reddy

Karthikeya Kola is 6 years old and lives in Toronto, Canada.  He was introduced to chess by his father. Later he started learning more on his own by playing online. He teaches chess to everyone who ever asks him about moves or how to play chess. Karthi is very passionate at chess and grasps quickly. He enjoys the sessions with his coach Mr. Arya Bhakta and looks forward to the practice sessions, tournaments and puzzles. He always tries to win the tournaments/practice sessions he plays. Later he analyses his mistakes which made him grow faster. He is also a genius in mathematics, he won a trophy in one of the math competitive exams. He loves to play more games with his brother. Apart from studies and games he is interested in teaching others anything that he knows.”

7. Arya Pilla  

Arya is  8 years old studying 2nd grade  in Pelham Elementary school  in Greenville, South Carolina. Apart from chess, Arya was interested  in  soccer. And won a couple of 1st place awards in soccer shoot outs. He loves reading story books like Berenstain Bears, Pete the cat.. etc. And he got  1st place in District level Photography competition for 2022Y.I would like to thank Aaryan coach  for  his patience in giving sessions and making them understand chess concepts. Also he encourages kids to think on the moves to go while playing chess puzzle games.”

8. Mithran Babuchellavelu

Mithran is 6 years old, studying in 1st Grade and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA). A year back, he showed an interest and started playing chess himself by seeing his sister playing with her father. Mithran’s quick grasp of the chess basics and his growing love for the game made us enrol him in PCA. Thanks to his coach Mr. Ashish Pattnaik helping him grow his skills and encouraging to participate in tournaments. Apart from chess, he loves maths and solving math riddles. Also he likes science and watched all the science videos from(mystery science, Bright side, Aumsum Time) and He would like to become an astronaut when he grows up.”

And once i remembered i gave him a punishment to write all his mistakes 50 times in the note. 9. Rishaan Singh

” Rishaan is an 8 year old 3rd grader from Seattle, Washington. He enjoys playing chess and eagerly waits for his classes and practice sessions. Beyond that, he likes reading fiction books, art, building Legos and playing with his pup sister Maggie. 10. Sarthak Chaudhary

Sarthak is 12 year old. He lives in St. Louis. Sarthak likes to play sports; he likes cricket and soccer. He also likes to play Xbox. He also likes a good challenge. Thanks Baivab Sir for supporting him.”

Sarthak is extremely talented and got a huge amount of “Chess Knowledge”. He never gets upset for any downfall rather he keeps up his pace and continues to put in more effort. He is a very regular kid, never missed classes nor practice sessions. His performance in this month is commendable since apart from mastering the “art of solving puzzles” and “understanding positional concepts” he has overcome the weakness of playing fast and not looking for opponent threats.  He has increased his lichess rating by significant margin and constantly got the top three position in practice session tournaments which really makes him worthy star of this month. Hope he continues to perform well and achieve his dreams in the long run. Being a coach I really feel lucky to have Sarthak as a student and wishing him to have an extremely successful life. “

11. Prajwal Tandon

Prajwal is 10 years old, studying in 5th grade and lives in Washington, USA. He loves to play chess every single day and apart from it he plays video games, enjoys solving Rubik’s cube and learning karate as well. He enjoys reading fiction every night. For his progress in chess we are really thankful to his dedicated chess teacher Mr. Bhaskar who pays a lot of attention to his strengths and weaknesses. I would truly recommend PCA to anyone who is serious about learning chess at advanced levels.”

12. Kartikeya

Karthikeya is 6yrs old, studying in kindergarten and lives in Tallahassee, Florida (USA). Apart from his interest in chess, he loves to draw and do math . He loves to search different topics on YouTube and learn about them. He loves playing chess with his elder sister (10ths old) and loves playing board games with family/friends. 13. Akhil Devineni

Akhil Devineni, A 7 year old second grader lives in Boston MA. He got introduced to Chess by grandmother in summer 2021 and followed by joining into PCA in Oct 2021, after a trial class with Coach Kshitij. Akhil has been showing interest in the game and The coach Kshitij has been fantastic, thorough, understanding and always encourages Akhil to play well, Kshitij always boosts confidence in Akhil which is so important and that made Akhil to take Chess to day to day life and practice more. Akhil has been improving in his game and looking forward to play more games. Besides Chess, Akhil loves playing Basketball, soccer, learning Bo staff, karate, Acrobatics, Hip-hop and coding. 14. Lishaa Sivanandam

Lishaa is 9 years – old. Studying 3rd grade. She is a very active & fun-loving girl. She started playing chess about a year ago as a beginner and now she started enjoying playing chess. She loves to participate in all tournaments to develop her skills. Her coach Mr.Keshav teaches her the techniques to improve her game. We are happy that she improved her focusing level and is enjoying his work.

15. Raaga Tota

Raaga is 11 years old and lives in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a 5th grader and joined Premier Chess Academy last year. She has been showing great progress since then, her skills significantly improved with the help of coach Kunal. Besides chess she loves to do art, crafts and dance. We are thankful to Mr. Kunal for his guidance and making the classes fun and interesting.”

16. Harikirtan Chauhan

Harikirtan is a 9 year old, 3rd grader from Richmond, Texas. Harikirtan is a fun-loving and enthusiastic kid who likes to socialize with everyone. Harikirtan likes to play board games and that’s how he was introduced to Chess. He used to play chess at home with his dad and we noticed his interest. During the pandemic, we enrolled him in PCA. It’s been a very good experience for him and He waits for his weekly class and practice sessions. 17. Rohit

Rohit is a very energetic 8 years old boy studying 2nd grade in Iowa. Rohit loves to be outdoors and enjoys playing soccer, basketball, baseball and skateboarding. Apart from being active with physical sports, Rohit quickly picked up chess and truly enjoyed learning and playing this game. 19. Krish Gokul

Krish is 7 years old (turning  8 in May) born in Delaware and living there with his family he loves the most. Krish took to chess after watching his sister and his father play, he has really honed his skills through PCA. Thanks to Pavithra mam for her guidance, coaching and encouragement. Krish does great in academics, is very creative, plays with his army / military toy set a lot, loves war films and enjoys building creative things with Legos. Krish also enjoys playing with his Puppy “Cyrus” 4 month old Golden retriever; Krish learns Carnatic music and is part of Indian music band called Madras Melodie’s and performs in shows and karaoke nights. Overall he is a happy go, loving and fun kid who just likes to play chess. His mom is motivating him to join the chess club in School.”

20. Avneesh

” Avneesh lives in Virginia and is 9 years old. We enrolled him in chess class last summer. He gradually developed interest in chess and after joining Piyush Sir’s class, He started enjoying chess. He is getting thorough in strategy, planning, defense, attacks and hidden attacks. He is always ready to play practice sessions and keenly participates in competitions. Avneesh also likes to play percussion and badminton. We want to thank Piyush Sir for his efforts and for making classes so much fun. We really appreciate his methods of teaching and for creating a deep interest in Avneesh for Chess. These classes have helped Avneesh to think critically, logically and tactfully. Yashvit is 7 years old he is in grade 1, lives in Delaware. Yashvit is so energetic, expressive he always loves to interact and play with his friends. Yashvit shows a lot interest in learning new things he joined PCA 4-5 months ago improved a lot nowadays he is so fond of playing chess, attending classes taking practice sessions serious and improving himself. 22. Kartik Chauhan

Kartik is a 7 year old  2nd Grader. He is an active, cheerful and always playful mode boy. Kartik started learning chess almost 8 month ago and enjoying his journey. Besides chess he loves playing Xbox, drawing, swimming, and reading books. His target is to beat his 7th Grader brother Bhavye who is also learning chess from PCA. Sloka is a third grader and lives in Loudoun County in Northern Virginia. Sloka showed an interest in chess after being introduced by her parents. After enrolling into the PCA academy there is a phenomenal difference in her game of chess and she is always desperate to join the class every week and eager to complete her practice sessions. Besides chess, Sloka learns music and enjoys playing with her brother.”

24. Krishna Seethanaboina

Krishna is a 5th grader and is 11 years old. He is an active and fun-loving kid. He learned chess basics from his dad when he was in his 3rd grade. He likes to accept challenges and thinks creatively to come-up with different solutions and responses. My friend referred PCA to us and Krishna’s playing ability improved a lot in a short time. He is quite involved in the games during his classes, practice sessions and tournaments. A big thanks to his coach Ms. Raksha Jajoo for teaching him new techniques and concepts and motivating him to play without the fear of losing. Besides playing chess, Krishna likes playing piano, Catan (board game), video games, table-tennis, solving Rubik’s cubes, swimming, and out-door activities. Anaya is 6 and half years old, studying in kindergarten and lives in lake Mary, Florida. She loves drawing and dancing. She enjoys her time playing with her little sister (3 year old). Vihaan is a 5th grader and lives in Ontario, Canada. Apart from chess, he plays football and soccer. He holds the decider black belt in Taeko-Won-Do. He likes to read books by Percy Jackson, JK Rowling, and Patrick Kenney. He has learnt playing music on keyboard and loves to hang out with his friends in the virtual world on Roblox and Minecraft. He regularly plays chess with his mom, dad, and his friend next door. He eagerly looks forward to his chess classes. Manjot is 6 years old, studying in Kindergarten, and lives in St. Louis Missouri. Manjot loves chess and It has been very inspiring to see him go from a beginner to a confident player. Manjot has been enrolled in the after-school chess program for six months now. He is always enthusiastic about attending the classes and absolutely enjoys spending time with Coach Shiva. Reyansh is an 8 years old enthusiastic kid with a go-getter attitude. He is a 3rd grader from Toronto, Canada. “Aarush is a 8 year old 2nd grader lives in Lawrenceville, NJ(USA). He is a very active and loves playing with her little sister.
