At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (March 2023) at Premier Chess Academy, Europe!

1. Vedik Chittem

Vedik is a brilliant 10-year-old studying in Year 6 at Katesgrove School in Reading, UK. He recently secured a place at the prestigious Reading School through a highly selective exam. Vedik’s exceptional cognitive abilities and insatiable curiosity are evident in his passion for chess and exploring new concepts. He is also a gifted cricketer, representing one of the most prominent clubs in Reading as a leg-spinning all-rounder. Vedik’s discipline, talent, and enthusiasm make him a valuable member of his school and community, and a true prodigy.”

Coach feedback on Vedik :

Vedik is a brilliant and creative kid. He is focused, attentive, and has a great love for chess. Vedik tries to learn from his mistakes and follow all the rules to implement those concepts in games to grow his chess skills. His growing skills will help him to be a good chess player. Selection Criteria – March 2023 : 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
