At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (May 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

 

1.Sarthak Khambete

“I am Sarthak Khambete. I am 7 years old. I live in Abu Dhabi and study in grade 2. I love building working robots and playing piano. Recently I started playing chess on my laptop, that made me curious about it. So I joined Premier chess academy. My coach Abhishek Sir analyses my games and guides me. I love to play chess at home with my dad too. I wish to keep pursuing chess and become a champion”.

2. Master Soham Mangesh Shanbhag

“SOHAM is 11 year old, studying in 6th STD in Indian School Al-Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman. To be very honest, initially, he used to dislike the game called CHESS. His interest in chess has grown more and more, from the day he has joined PCA. Since then he developed an interest and passion for CHESS and increased in manifold. All credit goes to his coach Mr. Anshul Bathla Sir, for his witty style and exemplary teaching skills w.r.t patience and professionalism. We really appreciate the efforts from his coach for extra push to think out of box, which inspired SOHAM to achieve more in the CHESS. We could see a remarkable improvement in his playing skills and thought process to the next level. He is really enjoying the challenges during practice session and tournament time, because he now understands the complexity of the game. Big thanks to all the kids of his batch, who make this learning’s more competitive and fun-loving!! We hope PCA will continue to hone SOHAM’s talent, for him to stay engaged and progress at an appropriate pace. Apart from Chess, SOHAM likes to watch and play cricket, swimming and eat food!!”

3.Yash Vipanii

“Yash was someone who did not know about chess and found it hard and difficult to play until we introduce him to PCA. His coach Mr. Baivab  helped him in learning and understanding the game of chess. Mr. Baivab has made classes so knowledgeable ,fun and interactable that yash never wants to miss a class. Now we do not need to remind him or tell him to attend a practice session as he instead reminds us that he will be attending a practice session. We are really thankful for PCA and Mr. Baivab for coaching and guiding Yash in his chess journey”.

“Yash is a very mature and talented kid in all respect. At such a young age, his attitude of accepting failure and also trying to learn from them is praise worthy. 4.Soham Srivastava

“Soham is an Avid Learner from early childhood and he is very passionate to learn new things. His interests include Playing Chess, solving Rubik’s Cube 3×3, 4×4 & 5×5, performing Card Magic/Tricks and watching You Tube Videos on these. Presently studying in class 4, Soham has interest in Maths and Social Studies, especially he likes to explore more about the Solar System. As far as his chess progress in concerned, he has grown by leaps and bounds. In January this year he started his chess journey from scratch and within 4 months he was able to cross Level 1.This won’t have been possible without the able guidance of Darpan Sir from PCA. Soham has not only improved on his Chess skills but I can also see real improvement in his Analytical skills and Decision making abilities. I would like to thank Darpan Sir from PCA for all his patience & training and counsel given to Soham. Thanks and all the best”.

5. Anaya

“My daughter Anaya, who is just 6, showed interest in chess so I enrolled her with Premier Chess Academy. Despite having no previous experience with chess she is doing wonders. Under the guidance of Mr. Hardik Khurana she is growing into a good chess player. In a few months she has come a long way. The sessions are interactive and child friendly. So kids are learning as well as having fun during the sessions. The mentor is doing an excellent job. Plus he teaches according to individual need of a child. I have noticed a lot of improvement in my daughter. Keep up the the good work.”

6.Master Ehan Prijeesh 

“Master Ehan Prijeesh is a well disciplined child with an age of 12.Ehan starts things slowly and he ends things smartly. Similarly, he started his journey in chess very slowly from his 3rd grade and now ,we parents are very much excited that he is playing well in his circle and sometimes he challenges the elder person and wins. Ehan improved a lot , both in his life and chess board because of PCA under the guidance of his coach Mr. Keshavendra. Now majority of his time spend with chess , also he love to play football, badminton, guitar and swimming”.

7.Adeline Leona Dsouza

“Adeline is 11 years old and lives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She has started the chess class from December 2020. Before that she doesn’t know about chess. Her dedication in chess is amazing and early waiting for her weekly chess classes and practice session and tournaments. Whenever time permits solving chess puzzles. She plays with her brother just for the time pass. She is watching and learning various YouTube videos and puzzles. She is showing more interest in chess. A big thanks to Pushkar Sir for always supportive and teaching new chess techniques. I am confident that with this interest Adeline will become a better chess player in future”.

8.Tazeen Fahis 

“Tazeen is 8 years old and has interest in mind games like chess and Rubics cube . Initially she was not serious about her game but just plays for fun. Now we see a change in her approach to the game , she wants to win the game every time . I must thank Rajat sir for instilling the passion for the game and all the good tips she gained from sir . She is enjoying the game now and we hope she achieve greater heights in times to come . Once again Thank PCA for your sincere efforts in nurturing the young brains”.

9.Sani El Abiad

“Sani will be turning 11 next week. He’s Lebanese and lives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Sani loves basketball and cubing. His interest in chess started after watching the “Queen’s Gambit” a few months back. He started playing with his dad until we found the Premier Chess Academy. Thank you PCA for the professional tutoring and thank you coach Rajesh Nayak for developing Sani’s skills & strategies in such a fun and interactive. Sani is now very passionate about chess and is continuously aiming to increase his rating”.

10.Master Chidambaram 

“Master Chidambaram is 4+ years old, currently living in Dubai and studying KG1 in Ambassador International school. Chidambaram has lots of passion towards chess and he started practicing it at the age of 3. Also he is very much interested in Swimming and he is leading in that vertical too. He got enrolled with premier chess academy for coaching 5 months before under the leadership and coaching of “Ravi Kant Master”. His game skills have significantly improved and we can see more stability and maturity in this Gaming style”.

11.Sahasra Suru

“My star daughter Sahasra picked up Chess last year during lockdown to beat boredom. Soon she found new interest and started learning Chess techniques online. Seeing her development, we were looking for some professional help to improve her game. Luckily, we came across PCA. Within 2 months she was promoted from beginner to advance beginner. She is progressing very well under the guidance of Mr. Ruturaj Hope she will keep her learning spree and attain new heights”.

12.Rishith Jala

“He is a second-grade student, lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He started learning chess in “Premier Chess Academy” from October 2020 with a limited knowledge of chess, now he has become more interested and enthusiastic to play chess. He thanks to his teacher Mr. Shahid for bringing him to this stage. He is a positive and more energetic student in his class, he loves to learn new things quickly. Presently he is also learning abacus, and does mathematical sums much quicker in his class”.

13.Ananya

“Ananya is 13 years old, girl, studying in 9th standard. It was by chance, we came across PCA trial class and she joined along with her sister. Now she is so passionate about the game, that whenever, she is free plays chess. All the credit goes to her teacher Mr. Siddharth Bhat. We really appreciate his approach in teaching, even though it is virtual classes, they feel like in classroom. The interaction with kids is excellent. We thank him for his encouragement, patience and support which is inspiring Ananya to achieve more in chess. PCA has been a wonderful learning platform, helping kids to understand and know their potential”.

14.Zain

“Zain is 8 year old, a very curious and sensitive boy with strong feelings and a large vocabulary for his age, From an early age he has shown strong cognitive and memory abilities. Apart from regular school, his time is spent in playing games, reading books, Piano, Abacus and recently with Chess. He is yet to checkmate his father but looking at Zain’s progress and under the guidance of coach Sushant who is doing an exceptional job, Zain’s dearest father will be losing soon 😉 Occasionally he plays with his younger brother who is also enrolled in PCA. Premier Chess Academy was indeed the correct choice for us and the progress in 2 months is unbelievable. Best regards!”.

15.Anirudh Srinivasan 

“Anirudh is 9 years old. He lives in Dubai with his parents and elder sister. He was interested in chess and started playing the game on his computer and some times with his mother during free time. So, we thought of putting him under a professional coach and joined Premier Chess Academy. After joining the academy he developed further interest in playing. He quickly learned all the concepts and is hooked on to the game whenever he gets free time. Further his thinking skills have improved in general which will be of great help in future. He is so excited about the game that he has started coaching his father on weekends, patiently explaining the concepts. He is excited and eager to play the tournament every day and loves challenging situations and tough opponents. 16.Nawfel Abdelmalek Benlamnouar (Malek)

“Malek (Nawfel Abdelmalek) is 9 years old, he lives in Qatar, Doha. He started his passion for chess at the age of 6 with his sister, she learned him how to play the game then he surpassed her. After that we registered him in Qatar chess federation, he was the youngest one there and he started increasing his knowledge. When they started a chess club at his school his teacher was always proud of him because he was defeating older students and teachers. After that he stopped playing chess for a while for various reasons then he started in Premier Chess Academy, we are so happy from his progress due to the coach efforts and the practice sessions”.

Selection Criteria – May 2021: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
