At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (May 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!

1. Jasper Selvin Jayaseelan

” Jasper Selvin is a 9 year old boy who studies in Gems, our own English high school, Dubai. Jasper started playing at age of 6 years. He was very interested in the game of chess after a tournament from the school in which he failed to get selected in the top 3 positions. After that we enrolled him to Premier chess academy for chess coaching. We thank our coach Mr. Afinu for coaching and improving his skills in chess and motivating him to become a professional chess player. Jasper likes to play more matches which are in the form Bullet and Blitz when compared to Classical. His role model in chess is his brother Asher and he likes to play more games with him. Jasper’s other hobbies are playing piano, playing soccer, drawing and coloring. My ambition is to become the world champion in chess.”

2. Palle Chandra Aditya

” Palle chandra Aditya is 7.4 years old and studying in grade 3 at SpringField Primary School, Doha, QATAR. He is super active and he loves solving puzzles and Rubik’s cubes and is constantly challenging himself to play mind games in TAB as well. so, his mother started teaching him basic moves of chess and started playing at home. We were delighted to see his interest in playing and moving pieces, so we joined him in Premier chess academy after lockdown and since then there has been no looking back. He eagerly looks forward to his classes and practice games. He keeps taking up challenging games with zeal to win, analyzing how his opponents play and learning new moves. 3. Saatvik Agrahari

” Saatvik is 7 years old and lives in Doha, Qatar. He is a 3rd grade student. He is more energetic, loves to play chess, video games & soccer. He is a lover of cartoon, watching TV. He spends his maximum time playing with his 9 yrs old sister. He loves to accept challenges. He always tells during chess practice at home about his Coach Baibhav sir that I learnt this step from him. He is working sincerely to achieve points to get promoted to the next level.”

4. Richa Shiju Abrahm

” Richa is a 7th grade student studying in Gems Our Own School, Dubai. Covid changed it all, the days when kids were confined to home, glued to either PC or to TV. During those days of boredom, I got to read about chess premier academy through the Internet, so we thought let’s give it a try, let’s use the time construct Ly. Initially, we had apprehensions on the genuinity of the academy, but as the time passed by, it gave wings to my kid. Her confidence, planning skills and concentration skills increased. On my and my wards behalf would like to thank the academy and Jeet Sir in specific for all the dedication and good work.”

5. Goutham Shraven

Goutham Shraven is a 7-year-old studying in Grade 2 at Olive International School, Doha. He is a passionate and hardworking kid. He is the kind of child who needs motivation to move forward. He takes the victory and loses in a team spirit. Since he started to learn chess, I would say his attention span and thinking independently has increased. No doubt his guru Mr. Kunal who guided him to achieve a milestone of today. We wish him for all his future endeavors and success in his path.”

Goutham is very hardworking and creative at the same time. We can see his creativity in his chess games. He always has a positive mindset. He is regular in classes and practice sessions. 6. Harshitha GaneshRaj

” Harshitha is 10 years old and she’s studying 5th grade in FAIPS DPS ,Kuwait .She is very much interested in drawing ,painting ,art and craft works. I personally very much interested in chess and I play chess as a hobby so I wanted to know if Harshitha would also be interested in chess .when I was searching for online chess classes PCA flashed up with more of positive reviews so I wanted to give a try for my daughter and she made it .She was a very beginner and now she patched up very well that she even teaches me some tricks as well. I can literally see her increased level of concentration after focusing on chess classes. Harshitha always enters her classes 5 to 10 mins earlier and that showed me her interest towards chess. she never misses her chess classes at all and manage to attempt her practice sessions too. Being a glad mama I wanted to thank her coach Ms. Pavithra for bringing her all the way with the tactics , tricks and puzzles too. She’s simply very dedicated and that inspired my daughter too. Pavithra ma’am is simply awesome. We as parents are very glad to know that Harshitha is selected for the star of the month and her hard work is paid now. 7. Thushanth Venkatesan

My son Thushanth Venkatesan is 10 years old and a Grade 5 student at Gems Millennium School Sharjah, UAE. He showed interest in playing chess with his uncle and learnt the basics from him. In November 2021we enrolled him with PCA and became a student of Piyush sir. Within 2 months Thushanth became attentive with keen interest, learnt the strategy and developed the defense and hidden attacks etc. He became a great fan of Piyush sir and very much interested to attend his online practice sessions and competitions. In addition to chess Thushanth is good at art, dance and learning cricket in a local club in Dubai. We hope Thushanth will reap the benefits of learning chess from Piyush sir and will reach greater heights. We thank Piyush sir for all your efforts in teaching and making the learning process smooth and interactive. The way you interact with the child is really amazing and mesmerizing which helps him to concentrate on the game throughout the session without any distractions. He is very obedient and only speaks when required, otherwise, he only listens to what is being taught in the class. He is doing very well and always has a positive mindset while playing games. 8. Meera Nambiar

Meera is 11 year old and she is in 7th grade at Rajagiri Public School Doha , Qatar. She was showing interest in chess and as parents we are not much into chess so we decided to enroll her in a chess academy. That’s how we came across Premier Chess Academy. After joining PCA her thinking ability and concentration has improved a lot.  We discovered PCA through social media. After joining PCA her interest and knowledge for the game has grown tremendously. She learned the game under the guidance of Coach Mr.  Prabhat Kumar. He is a friendly and professional coach and also very good at guiding the students. He gives his best to make the class more exciting and about the classes which are two days a week Mr. Prabhat makes sure the kids are attending and even if for some reason the class is missed he makes sure that an alternative class is provided. We as parents really appreciate Meera’s coach for his continuous support and guidance. Thank You.”

9. Lila Le

” Lila is 10 years old, a 5th grade student studying at American Community School of Abu Dhabi. She enjoys playing Roblox, tetherball and basketball with her friends. Lila likes to challenge herself with chess puzzles on Lichess. “You may learn much more from a game you lose than from a game you win. You will have to lose hundreds of games before becoming a good player.” – José Raúl Capablanca. Apart from chess Lila enjoys doing Arts and Craft, biking and roller skating.”

Lila is one of those kids for whom the chess game result does not matter, she loses or wins she really doesn’t care. For her, having fun in class is the first priority. She is very good at grasping hard concepts. She always looks forward to attending the class even if she is traveling by car she will attend the class via mobile or pad. 10. Aanvi Bhageesh

Parents feedback : Aanvi is a 6.8 years old 2nd grader from Kuwait. She loves playing chess and tries to play chess and solve puzzles as much as she can. She was interested in watching online games and learnt the basics of chess from her parents. It was her suggestion to join a coaching class, and from the time she was introduced to PCA we could see the improvement in her concentration and thinking. 11. Mohati Bharat Chablani

Mohati is a disciplined girl, 10 and a half years old. She is studying in Gems Founders School in Year 6. A smart and hardworking girl, her hobbies are swimming, reading, art and craft, playing the keyboard and chess of course. She used to play chess with her dad in her leisure time. We came across Premier Chess Academy from Facebook, took a trial class and there has been no looking back since then. She is able to play and learn all the moves with skills taught in the class, thanks to Rinku Sir. With the expertise and supervision of the coaches we hope she will go a long way in the game which will also help her build focus in other spheres of life. Chess is a game of intelligence and focus which we as parents want to develop in our kids. “

12. Yug Kalpesh Pagariya

Yug is 5 years old studying in grade 1 at Asian International School ,Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE.  When we introduced chess to him, he was completely fascinated to know the different pieces’ names, movements and so many pieces to play. Initially for him it is a game of war, White and Black army attacking each other. Earlier for him it was  just a fun game and he wanted to move pieces as per his imagination  but over the last 4 months he learnt all basic movements and critical opening tactics. Now he shows significant interest in watching online chess training videos, playing online games, puzzles and improving in playing chess. Thanks to coach Mr. Ritish Pathania as well as Premier Chess Academy for developing Yug’s interest in the game and helping him to learn through systematic and positive analysis.”

13. Shardul Shankar Kale

Shardul is a 2nd grader from JSS International School, Dubai, UAE. Shardul took chess as a hobby but then developed keen interest in it over time. He finds it highly challenging especially when it comes to competing with others. It sharpens the brain power with critical thinking and logical reasoning. It has enabled him to prepare and accept challenges from experienced opponents. He has taken it up as a challenge to be a chess player and someday a chess master too. We would like to thank his inspiration Mr. Ravikant Tiwari who found out this hidden talent in Shardul and further referred him to Mr. Ruturaj who constantly contributed towards motivating him and has taken up the challenge towards reaching Shardul to his pillar of success in the days to come in his near future. “

14. Methsilu Rajapaksha 

Methsilu Rajapaksha is 7 years old from Sri Lanka and studying at The English School in Kuwait. He started showing his interest and tactics in board games in an early stage and therefore, we thought of introducing him to this prestigious game of chess. As we were looking for a proper chess class for him, we came across the Premier Chess Academy. We have seen his progress in a very short period of time though he started learning everything from scratch. Methsilu is also interested in playing piano, reading books, solving riddles and exploring virtual reality. “

15. Aditya Raghunandan

Aditya Raghunandan is 5 years old from India studying UKG in Lady Bird International School in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. He was introduced to chess at a very tender age of 3 years when we both used to play in our leisure time. During the pandemic situation, when all the teachings including training were made available only through Virtual media, we got to know about Premier Chess Academy who are specialized in teaching Chess by Innovative techniques. It was Mr. Sushant Kamble who saw that interest and enthusiasm in Aditya’s first play during the Demo Class when he was just 4 years old encouraged us to embark into this professional chess training. It’s been a year, he perceived by solving daily puzzles and playing practice sections on his own which in turn has helped him in developing logical thinking abilities.”

16. Amaya Resmi

Amaya is 9 years old, studying in Class 4 at Indian School, Al Ghubra, Sultanate of Oman. She joined PCA a few months back and at that time she had no basic knowledge of chess but she learned the concepts very quickly. All credit goes to her coach Mr Tushar Sharma who keeps encouraging her to achieve more. She is so fond of her classes and ensures not even a single class is missed. It gives great pleasure seeing her taking efforts to improve her game and I am confident she will go miles ahead. Wishing the PCA team and all students the best.”

Amaya is cheerful and always encourages other kids. She enjoys every moment of class. She has a good bond with other kids in the chess class. She usually likes to do a Rook checkmate more than Queen. 17. Aditya Sharma

” Aditya is 10 years old and loves subjects like Mathematics and Science which involve logical thinking, problem solving and patterns. He was introduced to chess during the pandemic. During the digital learning period, he joined the chess club from his school in which classes were online. He started developing an interest in the game by understanding how the pieces move and how certain patterns can be noticed while playing the game. To take his interest to the next level, we enrolled him in Premier Chess Academy and are very grateful for his coach’s guidance in helping Aditya deepen his skills and understanding of the game “
