Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (May 2025) at Premier Chess Academy, North America (Canada & USA)!

1. Samar

Samar is a 1st grader with high energy levels and natural tendency to keep his mind busy all the time. He got introduced to chess when he was in kindergarten and he is continuing his passion through mostly online chess practice and tournaments. He plays violin and is learning Carnatic music from a renowned music teacher in California. He spends his free time playing tennis and soccer with his friends. Samar is geared towards improving skills and strategy in chess games. Associating with Premier Chess Academy has set him on the right track.

Chess is a game of strategy and thinking. Many chess players are just trying to move pieces and beat the other players. However, Samar is different from these other chess players. Samar is a very talented kid with a lot of potential to become a great chess player. He is a quick learner, and he is very good at playing chess. He has learned a lot of tactics during his chess training and is now working to implement those tactics into his chess games. He likes to challenge other kids in his batch, and he is also able to beat kids who are older and higher rated than him. Samar is on the right track, and if he continues doing so, he will soon become a professional chess player.”

2. Harsh Gupta

Harsh is 11 years old, studying in grade 5 and lives in New Jersey. He is a very hardworking, caring, intelligent child. He always helps others. His favorite sports are Basketball and chess. He is in the school basketball team and has won many inter-school tournaments. His favorite food is Chipotle burrito, Ice creams, Chocolates and any items with cheese and paneer. He likes watching movies with family. Harsh started Chess at the age of 4 and he was in the US top 100 list of his age when he was 8 years old. He is also a very good photographer and trip organizer. He enjoys roller coaster rides. He always enjoys where he goes. He loves solving puzzles and magic tricks.

3. V. Nihilsharvesh

“Nihilsharvesh, 8 years old, currently living in Columbus, Ohio. His interest towards chess made his parents enroll him to the chess coaching class. He loves to explore and learn new things. His passion is to spend time drawing the cartoon characters and painting. We sincerely appreciate the coach Viswanath for his dedication toward teaching and encouraging Nihil to do his best in the games.”

4. Kedar

Kedar is a remarkable young individual whose calm demeanor, strong sense of organization, and deep respect for others make him stand out among his peers. Whether he’s in the classroom, on the field, or at a chessboard, Kedar brings a thoughtful and focused energy to everything he does. A natural leader with a heart of gold, he consistently uplifts those around him—always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement. His dedication to excellence is evident not only in how he completes his assignments but in how he actively seeks out challenges to grow and learn beyond expectations. Kedar has a deep love for games—whether it’s chess, video games, or soccer—but chess holds a special place in his heart. His strategic thinking, patience, and competitive spirit shine through when he plays, making his recent recognition in the chess tournament all the more meaningful. 5. Arjun Mareddy

Meet Arjun Mareddy!  Arjun Mareddy is a bright and enthusiastic 9-year-old currently in 3rd grade. His love for solving puzzles sparked a keen interest in chess, where he enjoys thinking strategically and staying one step ahead. Arjun is also highly creative—he often builds imaginative structures using Legos, bringing his ideas to life in unique ways. An active and energetic child, Arjun enjoys playing soccer and basketball. His dedication and perseverance recently earned him a 1st-degree black belt in martial arts. He also shines in dance and art, expressing himself through movement and color. Above all, Arjun finds joy in reading books, which remains his favorite pastime. Whether he’s exploring fictional worlds or learning something new, Arjun’s curiosity and passion for learning continue to grow every day.

6. Krisha 

Krisha, a 10-year-old 5th grader from Khanna, Punjab, India, is a bright, energetic and passionate child. She loves to play chess puzzles, chess racer, chess tournament on lichess.org. Her Coach’s (Mr. Vaibhav Sharma) guidance has helped her to develop a strategic mind-set. We got the best Coach in Premier Chess Academy, he motivates her, guides her, and brings a spark of creativity to the board.

7. Charith Konjeti

“Charith, a 4th grader living in Seattle, WA, is deeply passionate about STEAM activities—especially Lego robotics, soccer, and anything that challenges him to think critically. His journey with chess began at home, playing casual games with me. After a few losses, he independently recognized the need to improve and asked for formal training. I enrolled him in PCA, and since then, his commitment has been remarkable. He’s never missed a class, regularly beats me in games, and actively involves younger kids by teaching them and sharing strategies. What’s even more inspiring is how he spends his free time studying the moves of grandmasters, reflecting on his own play, and continuously exploring ways to get better. PCA has truly nurtured his passion and helped him grow in Chess.”

8. Tanvi Pathi

“Tanvi is a gentle and thoughtful 6-year-old with a kind heart and a calm presence. Naturally introverted, she takes her time to open up to new people and situations, but once she feels comfortable, her quiet strength and sensitivity shine through. One of the things that beautifully reflects Tanvi’s character is her journey with chess. Though she initially found it challenging and was hesitant, she didn’t give up. With patience and persistence, she has grown more comfortable with the game and is now beginning to enjoy it. She is learning to face challenges with quiet determination, and while she’s still finding her rhythm with actual gameplay, her steady progress shows both resilience and growing confidence. Tanvi is a wonderful example of how a gentle spirit can be strong and steady. She may take time to step forward, but when she does, she moves with grace and purpose.”

9. Aayan Bansal 

Aayan Bansal is a cheerful 9-year-old from Newbury Park, California who loves chess. He started playing a few months ago and has developed keen interest in it. Aayan loves riding his scooter, playing with his older brother Akshaj and having fun in all possible situations.

10.Sri Lalitesh Inampudi

Sri is our lovely elder son, he is a sophomore in high school, he is part of many extra curriculars, chess is one of his favorites, he wants to become a neurosurgeon, he is working very hard, dedication towards his goal. He takes care of his brother too, like checking his grades, guidance in studies. Sri is a mature boy beyond his age. We are looking forward to seeing him become a successful person in life.

11.Adhvik Kantamneni

Adhvik is a Curious, compassionate, and incredibly gifted 11-year-old whose brilliance and spirit light up every room he walks into. With a deep love for science and mathematics, he demonstrates an extraordinary aptitude for logical reasoning far beyond his years. Whether solving puzzles, building huge Legos, diving into scientific experiments, or programming his latest invention, Object Detection Robot approaches each challenge with intense focus and unwavering attention. What makes Adhvik truly stand out is his self-driven passion for learning. Recently, he built a fully functional motion-detection robot, teaching himself Python, Scratch, and other technologies — a remarkable achievement for someone his age. But Adhvik’s talents don’t end in the classroom. He’s a nature enthusiast and animal lover, always caring for at least one pet at home. His love for the world around him is matched by his vibrant personality. With a great sense of humor and a heart full of joy, he brings laughter and warmth to everyone around him. Teachers adore him, peers admire him, and he remains a favorite in every learning environment. An avid fan of hip-hop music and 1 pound fish has a rhythm for both fun and focus. Recently he won 1st place in US Mass chess tournaments conducted by BCA and FMCA. The future holds no bounds for this bright young mind — and this recognition is just one of many milestones to come.”

12.RISHI DHRUV

Rishi is a playful, witty and kindhearted 11-year-old. Rishi was introduced to chess by his grandma who used to play chess in her college days. Guidance from the coaches at Premier Academy has really made chess more fun for Rishi. Besides chess, Rishi enjoys tennis, math and Lego robotics competitions.

13.Vihaan Bommineni

Vihaan, aged 8, began his journey with Premier Chess Academy at the start of this year and has shown remarkable passion and enthusiasm for the game ever since. Under the dedicated guidance of Coach Karthik, Vihaan has grown steadily in both skill and confidence. He practices different moves diligently and is always eager to learn and improve. “Meet Dhanish Jain – a kind-hearted and curious 8-year-old who loves reading and sports. Always eager to explore and learn, Dhanish once came across a chess video on YouTube and instantly fell in love with the game. That moment led us to enroll him in chess classes—and it’s been a wonderful journey since. We were lucky to find a coach who is just as good as we had hoped for. Haneesh is an enthusiastic young boy with a growing interest in areas like Chess, Taekwondo, and Mathematics. A Grade 2 student at Washington Elementary School in New Jersey, he aspires to become an Astronaut one day. He enjoys playing board games, reading books, building with Legos, and creating STEM projects. His passion for board games naturally led him to chess, and with dedicated effort and guidance from his coach, he continues to improve. We believe that chess is more than just a game—it helps logical thinking and contributes to overall personality development. As Haneesh’s parents, we are proud to see him engaged in chess and delighted to witness his progress every day.

17. Srihan Komarina

We are proud to celebrate Srihan, a bright and curious 6-year-old first grader who is always eager to learn and grow. From a very young age, Srihan showed a deep love for learning. Even before starting school, he was exploring math concepts like squares, cubes, and Sudoku puzzles. His learning journey has been full of excitement, challenges, and a passion for thinking outside the box. Srihan is not only a skilled chess player—he’s a two-time 1st Place Winner in the Chicago Chess Foundation Tournament! His focus, strategy, and smart play have helped him shine in competitive matches, proving that age is no limit when it comes to talent and determination. Inspired by his older brother, Aadvik started playing chess about a year ago and has quickly become a shining star in the game. 20.  Vasudev Raj Kunnath 

“Vasudev is a 9-year-old third grader from Dallas. He developed a keen interest in chess last year, prompting his enrollment in the Chess program with PCA. He’s especially excited about the upcoming classes and is looking forward to learning from his coach, Harsha,In addition to chess, Vasudev is actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. He is learning Carnatic music, plays the piano, and trains in the Chenda, a traditional percussion instrument from Kerala. He’s also a member of a competitive swim team, showing his dedication both in and out of the classroom. Vasudev is excited to be part of the PCA community and looks forward to sharpening his skills while enjoying the game he loves.”

Even in challenging situations, like losing a match at a tournament, Pradvik handles setbacks with grace and resilience. He never lets disappointment linger, choosing instead to focus on learning and having fun. Beyond sports, Pradvik’s love for math makes him a true enthusiast. Recently, his list of interests has grown to include chess-a game that perfectly matches his strategic thinking. 22. Sai Saketh 

Sai Saketh is a 9-year-old boy who lives in Plainsboro, NJ and loves to play chess all the time.  Other than chess, some of his other interests are piano, Carnatic music and cricket.  At home, he enjoys most of his time playing with his cute sister Sai Srivalli. He started playing chess at age 6 for fun but he is showing a lot of passion now.  Thanks to coaching staff at PCA specially to coach Abhinandan for enabling him to do so. Saketh started playing USCF rated tournaments and applying all knowledge learnt in the classes.  I wish for many more accomplishments for future.

  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
