At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

1. Alexandros Rosario
” Alexandros Rosario started playing chess for the past year and loves it. He has started to write a non-fiction book in his school about Chess to introduce more of his friends to the game that he loves. He is a Third Grader at the American School of Doha and he hopes to be a microbiologist when he grows up. He really enjoys his classes at PCA and he really loves playing chess with Coach Amit and his classmate, Oriana! “

2. Tharun Karthik
” Tharun is a six year old child from India studying grade 1 in Delhi Private School, Sharjah. Chess was introduced to him by his mother when he was 4 years old. He loves to play with chess pieces rather than playing the actual game at that time. His game got improved and he became more passionate about chess after attending class with coach Anirudhan. Whenever he finds time either it is early morning, late night even during his meal times he starts playing chess now on the lichess.com platform. Now he is completely into chess and he loves it the most! “

3. Arjun Arun

While attending the regular sessions, he shows his energy in the form of giving rapid answers to the questions. He loves solving puzzles and he is good at it too! 4. Daivik Nagpal
” Daivik Nagpal is an 8 years old boy, studying in Class-III and based in Kuwait. He is a very sharp minded boy. He is very good at studies, he wants to become an astronaut and very keen to know about space, planets etc. This young boy is committed to being proactive, productive and a happy learner every day. He likes to do many activities but few of his favorite hobbies are playing Chess, Drawing and Football. “

5. Aarav Biju
” Aarav is 9 years old and a Grade 4 student in The Indian High School, Al Garhoud, Dubai. He is a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking boy and always excels in his studies. He is a quick learner who rapidly grasps concepts. Mathematics is his favorite subject and he loves to solve puzzles. Aarav joined chess classes in October and is thoroughly enjoying it. I could see him improving a lot in his game in this brief time, under the guidance of Mihir sir. Thank you Mihir sir and PCA.”

6. Uday Dharmesh Shukla
” Uday is 13 years old and he lives in Doha, Qatar. He is a student of Birla Public School. He is enthusiastic, fun loving and believes in giving his 100% to whatever he does. He enjoys playing cricket, chess and musical keyboard.”

7. Srinika Narayanan
” Srinika is in Grade 4 living in Dubai. Great passion for chess, swimming and dancing. She is very soft spoken and brilliant. She has logical thinking skills, great human values and is well disciplined.”

8. Aarav Mashru
” Arav Mashru is 7.5 years old boy, who studies in JSS international School Dubai grade 2 Aarav started playing chess at the age of 6 years he was very interested in chess after seeing his brother Aryan playing chess and his cousin was getting so many trophies 🏆 in so many tournament. Later on we started his coaching personally but Aarav was getting bored then we enrolled him with premier chess academy here he got good platform of learning and healthy competition and everyday tournament works a lot for him We thank our coach Raksha Jajoo for coaching and improving his skills in chess and gives continuous support on any queries. Aarav likes to play soccer and badminton too. “

10. Ayansh Patel
” Ayansh just completed his 9 years and is studying in grade 4. He is from India and currently he is living in Oman. He is a calm and emotional boy. He started playing chess with PCA on September 22 only. He loves to play chess, solving puzzles, trying new things, and reading story books. He is also a quick and self-learning boy. Thanks to all the PCA team specially his coaches Chirag Khakkhar and Sarthak Dutta, supporting him to gain more confidence and improve his games.”

11. Devesh Gupta
” Devesh is a fun loving 11-year-old boy who is now studying in Year 7 of JESS, Arabian Ranches, Dubai. He has keen interest in cricket and Table Tennis. He is fond of watching cartoons and horror movies. His favorite subjects are Math and likes creative English writing. He loves to interact with people and is learning French & Spanish. He has been learning chess for one year and is enjoying it thoroughly. He is grateful to his excellent coach Shiv who has been mentoring him with the right direction and motivating him to build expertise.”

12. Arnav Jeughale
” Arnav is 11 years old and studies in Grade 6 at Mayoor Private School, Abu Dhabi. He is a sharp and active kid and likes to keep himself busy in indoor and outdoor games. He is very hyper and can’t keep himself free for a minute; he keeps changing from one activity to another. He started playing chess two years ago, and we have seen great progress both mentally and logically. He developed an interest in chess over time, and as a result, he learned to focus on a single activity for extended periods of time. Credit goes to PCA Coach Sidharth sir and Coach Tushar sir, who manage to keep him engaged and focused on one single activity.”

He has some original chess ideas, attempts to view things from a different angle than is typical, which makes him special, and has a solid grasp of the game. His everyday routine in class involves playing games and finishing puzzles, along with some entertaining variations. He plays an offensive style, always takes criticism well, and constantly improves. Selection Criteria – November 2022:
- Regular in class and practice sessions.
- Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
- Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
- Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
- Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
