At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Anish Ketan Kulkarni

Anish is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Marshalls Middle School, San Diego. He is a fun loving and hard working kid. He takes his academics very seriously and is very good at it. Apart from academics he loves playing Chess, Tennis and Tabla. “

He is very particular in completing assigned tasks. He is very honest too, accepts every mistake with a smile. 2. Arnav

Arnav is nine years old and a 4th grader living in Bothell, WA. He is a fun-loving, active kid with various interests spanning chess, soccer, running, cross country, ping pong and badminton. Name a game, he will be interested in it. He is good in academics as well. He started playing chess with his friends for fun and when we saw he was doing good among them, we decided he could do better with proper guidance and PCA has done the same. His teacher is Abhishek. He is lucky to have him as his teacher as he teaches them the concept patiently and keenly. Also, the coach-to-kid ratio in PCA is just right so all the kids get good opportunities to interact with the coach. Would love to see Arnav do better in his future chess quests and good luck to his teacher as well! “

3. Tanay Mohan

Tanay is a 5-year-old Kindergartner from Roanoke, Virginia. He is empathetic, loving, caring and a great helper at home.  He is a favorite student for many of his teachers at school or outside school, for the emotional maturity, the tenacious nature, and the leadership skills he showcases. He takes up challenges willingly and tries to find solutions by himself. He loves Ice cream, pets, chess, Skating, karate, Dance, and Swimming. “

4. Sujeen Karthik

Sujeen is seven years old, 2nd grader from Bloomington, Illinois. He likes art, building Legos, reading books and playing piano. Initially he saw his elder brother play chess and started learning chess to compete with his brother. Now he loves playing chess and is always eager to learn new strategies each session. Thanks to PCA and coach Mr.Anirudhan for guiding and motivating him. Sujeen’s goal is to achieve a 1000+ rating on lichess in the next few months.”

5. Veda G

Veda is 8 years old, a 3rd grader going to Stratford School in California. She enjoys art, origami and chess. She also loves reading books. Currently she is reading Wings of Fire. She has been playing chess for the past six months.”

6. Akshith Reddy Bandi

Akshith is a 5 years old kinder gardener from Columbus, Ohio. He is always a fun-loving,  hyperactive kid with an inquisitive and sharp mind. He started playing chess with his sister and was well acquainted with the chess board, its pieces and fell in love with the game. He showed a lot of interest in solving the chess puzzles and practicing the game regularly. Besides chess he loves playing games,  reading books, learning facts and exploring the maps and flags.  He enjoys playing with numbers. In his free time, he loves doing math calculations in his head and keeps asking us several questions. His favorite PC game is Minecraft. He is a happy, sincere, sensitive and emotional child. He is very fond of Transformers cars. We enrolled him into PCA a few months back and he has come up really well under the guidance of his coach Anshul sir. He looks forward to his chess classes, daily practice and is fond of his coach Anshul sir, who is very patient and is providing good feedback and guidance to improve his games. 7. Presha Patel

” Presha is 8 years old from San Jose, CA . She is a 3rd grader and apart from playing chess she loves Gymnastics, Arts and Outdoor sports. She has been learning chess for the last 2 years and showed interest to excel in chess and has a dream of becoming Grand master one day. After joining PCA Presha has started playing more competitive games and her coach Arya always goes the extra mile to help her on improving games. We as parents are proud of her dedication towards chess and thank you to PCA and coaches for their help.”

8. Riddhi Naveen

Riddhi is 7 years old and studying in 1st Grade at Pineapple cove classical Academy, west Melbourne. She loves dancing, crafting and reading books. She also likes playing outdoors sports like biking, swimming. Thanks to PCA and to her coach Aaryan Kapoor for his patience in teaching and mentoring Riddhi to keep her stay focused and improve her skills.”

9. Maanya Oray

Maanya is eleven and a 5th grader at CHIJ OLGC school, Singapore. She is a fun loving kid. She is good at academics, loves to play chess and read books . Her favorite book is the Harry Potter series. She likes singing too. We are very proud to be her parents. We are ever grateful to Jeet Singh sir for his excellent tutoring, patience, great support and encouragement for kids.”

10. Hansi Namburu

Hansi is a 11 year old in sixth grade studying at Coppell middle school east. She likes art and does traditional dance. She loves reading books and is very hard working. She started learning chess about a year ago with PCA. She used to play before but now plays at a whole new level. We are very grateful to Bhaskar sir for teaching her so well.”

11. Adhirai Maheshkumar

Adhirai is 8 years old, studying 3rd grade in Oakland Elementary School, Bloomington, IL. She always likes to play with her friends. She got interested in chess after seeing her friends playing chess. After joining PCA, she got to know the basics and she is showing interest in learning new techniques. Thanks to her coach for making sure that the students are active, stay focused and interactive in the class. “

If she sees a tactic or a theme, she can find the answer instantaneously. Not only her Puzzle skills are on point but she is equally strong while playing the game because she always plans to attack the opponent’s King and tries to create some chances by creating a Checkmate Threat on the opponent. 12. Chinmay Shankar

Chinmay is 11-year-old and is in 5th grade. He is into outdoor games like Basketball, Baseball and Swimming. During COVID he was kind of house arrested and was confined to home. He was very bored, and I happened to see an advertisement on Facebook about PCA. Since the day Raksha gave a Demo, he fell in love with CHESS. There is not a single day that he doesn’t play Chess. He learnt a lot of innovative techniques and often challenges his dad. Coach Raksha is an awesome instructor, who made sure kids are focused and proved it that Chess could be learnt and made interesting even though virtually. He is so much in Love with Chess that during his Visit to India he made sure he attended a Chess Tournament in Chennai and met his Coach Raksha in Person. “

13. Vriddhi Mittal

Vriddhi Mittal. Vriddhi is eleven in 6th at Hansen Elementary. She is hardworking, smart, and has a good sense of humor. Vriddhi loves to play chess, as well as basketball. She started showing much more interest in chess when she joined the Premier Chess Academy, and now her skills are much better than earlier. 14. Srigautham Daram

SriGautham is a 10-year-old 5th grader from Charlotte. He love playing Chess. Other than chess, he loves to play basketball and watch cricket. He learned many strategies after joining the Premier Academy. He always tries to learn more strategies and puzzles. 15. Aniruddha Chindalur

Aniruddha is a 4th grader studying in a French school in Quebec, Canada. His favorite hobby recently has been playing with different Rubik’s cubes and trying solving them in different methods. His coach Harjee sir keeps him motivated and disciplined in his chess classes. He enjoys playing chess. Thanks to PCA he is getting a wonderful learning platform. “

16. Nynisha Shankar

Nynisha Shankar turned 6 years old this November. She developed interest in chess by watching her dad playing the game when she was 5 years old. Initially we started chess just as a fun way to engage her but on seeing her involvement we decided to provide her professional training and that’s how we landed with PCA. We are extremely delighted to be part of PCA. Nynisha’s interest in chess is now turned into passion with the help of her coach Hrishikesh Devdikar, He ensures the session is held in an interesting way and gives attention to every kid. He is open to our suggestions and encourages kids to solve puzzles, play practice and weekend tournaments. We are happy to see her chess learning and playing skills progressing day by day. Along with chess, Nynisha is good at solving Rubik cube. She loves reading/listening books, swimming and Roller Skates. “

17. Varun

Varun is 7 years old second grader. He is very active, fun loving, and keen to learn new things. He is also good at solving Mathematical problems. Varun has built-up interest in chess from his brother and started as beginner at PCA with awesome coach Keshav, He has improved logically and analytically after taking Chess classes at PCA. We thank Keshav for all his efforts and being a great coach to Varun. “

18. Jiya Rajan

Jiya is 10 years old and studying fifth grade in Canada. She is a very creative, hardworking and dedicated kid. 19. Keshava Neelakandan

Keshava lives in Austin, Texas. He is 6 yrs old, a first grader. Curiosity about stuff keeps him discovering new interests for himself. An ardent fan of Legos, with his best so far being Saturn V Rocket of 1950 lego pieces. Space, aircrafts and their functioning fascinates him a lot. Animals in their habitat and behaviors get him talking for hours. For the past year, he has had a profound interest in the game of chess. We got him a chess board casually and started playing at home. Seeing his interest, we got him enrolled in the classes. That has kindled his interest in the game further! Special thanks to his coaches Piyush Snehi and Mihir Mehra for their guidance and installing a deep fascination for this sport! “

Srihaas is 5 years old, He is studying Kindergarten from Robert Myles Elementary school, New Hartford, NY. He likes Chess, Arts, and other board games. 22. Ina Nainika

Ina is 13 yrs Old, she is in 8th grade and lives in San Diego California. She is a quick learner , likes to explore, learn new things and avenues. She developed a passion for Chess after joining PCA. 23. Pruthvi Vinith

Pruthvi is in the 6th grade and has been playing Chess since 2017. He used to be in the school chess club in elementary school and enjoys attending the Scholastic Chess tournaments. During the pandemic, Pruthvi taught his little brothers to play chess and is always ready to play any number of matches with them, helping them improve and teaching them what he knows. Pruthvi is an avid reader and loves to play video games. He also enjoys coding, karate and playing soccer. Playing chess has improved his focus and self confidence and Pruthvi constantly works on strategies to improve his game. Thanks to Coach Rajat Malik for all the encouragement and for challenging Pruthvi to take his game to the next level. “

24. Sudiksha Annem

Sudiksha is 8 years old in 3rd grade, living in Michigan. She loves drawing, art and craft. Fun loving kid and very playful. Last year she started playing a few chess games online as fun and sometimes with her dad. Since then she started showing significant interest and hence joined PCA. She loves solving puzzles, playing tournaments and practice sessions. We are very thankful to her coach Raunak Gupta sir who encourages students to play tournaments. He analyzes their games and guides them appropriately. “

26. Tapasvi Reddy

Tapasvi Reddy Marreddi is 11 years old and a 6th grader from CA. He is a very Innovative and fun-loving boy and always likes to learn new strategies and logic in any game. He loves to play soccer, basketball, Valorant, and Roblox. He enjoys working in a team and is very considerate of his friends. The interest that developed inside of him for chess has brought him to PCA where he has shown remarkable improvement in the past couple of months. Tapasvi is a cheerful and pleasant kid who enjoys learning chess. He didn’t have much confidence at first in playing rapid games, but as his rating rose, he began to exhibit more interest and gained confidence, it marked a turning point in his path. 27. Dhusanth Karthic

Dhusanth is an 8-year-old, 3rd grade, from Breinigsville, PA, USA. He is an enthusiastic, caring and fun-loving kid. He likes to play chess and wants to learn how to swim. He enjoys dancing, playing outdoor games as well. Playing Chess helps him to continuously focus on one thing for a long time.  It all started casually during lockdowns and here he is, thanks to his Chess coaches. 28. Nilesh Nareshkumar

10-year-old Nilesh is a student at Strausser Elementary School. During this summer’s trip to India, when he played chess with his cousin, his love for the game blossomed.  Nilesh rapidly developed an interest in this activity, learning chess strategies to defeat his cousin. He joined the PCA in September and enjoys applying skills taught by his coach. We are thankful to his coach Saumil Shinde for his dedication and encouragement towards teaching kids. Kian is a second grade student who loves to play chess and hockey. He wants to become a Chess grandmaster like Magnus Carlsen. He is funny, social and loves to crack jokes. “

31. Rishav Sahoo

Rishav is 7 years old, and has a passion for math and robotics. In his free time, he loves to practice piano and play chess with his friends. He has a knack for anything which requires problem solving and logical thinking skills. From an early age, he has shown keen interest in learning chess through watching videos and playing with his parents. Chess has helped him to develop a positive attitude towards competitive sports. 32. Mishka Mehra

Mishka is 11 years old. She is a 6th grader. Mishka started playing chess a few months ago and picked up the game really well. Coach Tejas Arora’s continued support and motivation helped her a lot to take an interest in chess and improve it with each passing month. 33. Gagandeep

Gagandeep, is an 11-year-old boy in 6th grade. He started chess back when he was in 3rd grade, but joined PCA one year back. He loves to play chess with friends and family members. Gagan likes to take challenges. He is a quick learner. Coach Viswanath, in his words, is one of the best teachers he has had. He says he helps him a lot, gives good feedback and clears all doubts. Whenever Gagan faces any chess problem, his coach will help him. All in all, he is a great coach, and always help him. Aside from chess, he likes to play soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He got 2nd place in the kids league soccer this spring.”

34. Vihaan Kute

Vihaan is an 8 Year old 3rd grader from Ontario Canada. His chess journey started with playing casual games with his brother showing tremendous interest in quick learning and understanding of the moves. So he joined PCA and started to learn it the professional way. Along with regular classes he understands the importance of practice . This Olympiad kind of event definitely gives him confidence and exposure. He has Good rapport with his coach Kumar Raunak sir who is always available whenever he needs help. Along with Chess, Vihaan enjoys Skating, Badminton and Basketball. He has a great liking for Math. We as a parent wish that he continues his interest in chess like this.”
