At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (November 2023) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Parisha Sai Aksaj

12 years old studying at Sri Aurobindo International School Grade 7 living in Hyderabad, Telangana. He has a keen interest in chess and is an enthusiastic learner who enjoys playing tournaments, seeking new challenges .He used to play with his father frequently. Knowing his interest in chess we joined him in  PCA  Online Chess classes. Mentor Shahid Sir’s classes are well followed by Sai Akshaj. Sai Akshaj is Kind , helpful to everyone, and makes friends quickly. Apart from Chess He enjoys playing tabla, reading books, riddles, he collects interesting facts about space and is a maths lover. He has great exposure to wide range of cubes and can solve most of them.”

Aksaj is a passionate kid and never misses class. He is good at conceptual ideas, and he is also a fascinating performer in his batch. The one most admirable talent is that he is a fast learner, and he has all the practical knowledge to apply the concepts learned in the class. “

2. Devaditya

Devaditya is a little bunch of joy who brings kindness and spreads happiness in every one’s life. He is gentle, friendly, and a wonderful team mate who is passionate about playing sports. His academic excellence brings pride to his family and school. Playing chess has helped him to build his mental skills tremendously. Children understand better when the learning is fun and interesting, and PCA has added this dimension of helping him to play chess. His journey has just begun and has a long way to go.

” Devaditya is an ultra active kid who consistently stands out with his active participation and impressive performance. He is very friendly and admired by his all chess mates. With a keen interest in exploring various strategic moves, he demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the game. He keeps on revising all the taught topics and gives his best in solving the puzzles given to him. As he gears up for upcoming challenges, I extend my heartfelt wishes to Devaditya for remarkable achievements on his journey.”

3. Aarohi Annam

Meet my vibrant 6-year-old daughter, a little genius who finds joy in strategic moves on the chessboard and conquering sudoku puzzles. When not engaging her intellect, she’s immersed in the colorful world of cartoons on TV. Her creative side blossoms through coloring, painting, and diving into short stories. Nature is her playground – from the excitement of parks to the tranquility of beaches. She’s not just a solo adventurer; playing with her younger brother adds an extra layer of laughter to her days. In this small package, curiosity, creativity, and companionship weave a delightful tapestry.”

Coach feedback on Aarohi :

Aarohi is a quick learner and is always active in class. She had shown a consistent performance. Very punctual in attending classes, submitting assignments, etc. She’s very interested in learning new tactics likes to solve puzzles and always comes up with different variations. I wish all the very best for her upcoming achievements in this chess journey and a Happy New Year 2024.”

Selection Criteria – November 2023:

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
