At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.
Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (October 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, Asia Pacific (Australia, Singapore and New Zealand)!
1. Lee Jing Ze
” Jing Ze is nine years old, with endless curiosity. He loves the outdoors, and Mathematics and Science are his favorite subjects in school. Jing Ze was exposed to Chess only a few months back with PCA where he received guidance from Coach Baivab. This had opened a whole new exciting chapter for him – the world of Chess – he enjoys his sessions with his coach very much – he is fearless in his chess questions, and hungry to learn every strategy that the coach guided him. Thank you Coach for your patience.
Coach feedback on Jing Ze :
” Lee being only 9 years old, the maturity and talent he possesses is really unreal. At such a young age, his keenness to accept challenges and push his limits is really praise worthy. He is a very hard working, sincere and disciplined person who usually doesn’t miss out on any practice session. As a mentor I observed that for the last few weeks Lee has been regularly attending practice sessions. His performance in classes, and his speed and accuracy of solving puzzles are really remarkable. The way he has made progress in recent times gives proof that he is not only a quick learner but also someone who accepts failure in a positive way and tries to learn from it. He recently started winning games against rated players which makes him a worthy star kid of the month. He also has age on his side and I do believe with proper training and encouragement he will achieve a lot in future. As a coach I feel quite privileged to have Lee as my student. My best wishes with Lee moving forward.”
