At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. 1. Vihaan Kabra

Vihaan is seven and likes to play chess and soccer. He is a 2nd grader from Texas who also enjoys writing stories and making new board games. Vihaan’s interest in chess comes from his sister who he adores and annoys at the same time. His passion for chess has brought him to PCA where he received guidance and mentoring from Coach Aabhas. The coaching has honed his skills and made him a better player.”

2. Sai Saketh Samudrala

Sai Saketh is 6 years old 1st grader at Wicoff school, New Jersey. He loves to play chess, learning music and very much interested in art.  He is always eager to learn new strategies for chess. We are very much thankful to coach Aaryan for all his efforts in improving Saketh’s game

3. Shlok Narayan

Shlok is in 6th grade and lives in Tracy, California. He is very active and enthusiastic about learning new things. He started liking chess very much after starting Premier Chess Academy. He likes to play basketball and also likes video games. “

4.  Aakash Budha

Aakash Budha is an 8 year old boy from Irving, TX. He is very active and a well matured, respectful child. He has been a fast learner since he was a kid. He is good at Painting, Dance, Sports, Academics. He loves Art, Cycling and mostly playing with his younger sister and his friends. He has joined Premier Chess Academy with no knowledge and is now surprising us with his games. He is learning Chess from Mr. Abhishek sir and is thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you so much Abhishek sir for encouraging him and teaching the best chess skills to all the kids in your class. 5. Adwait Amit Jhunjhunwala

Our Son, Adwait Amit Jhunjhunwala is 13 years old and grade 8 student. He is an avid reader and very inquisitive. You give him a topic and he can come up with hundreds of questions, very imaginative and always thinking out of the box. Science is his passion. The kids this age is of course into the supernatural world. So now, we started his chess journey in summer break i.e., around June 2022 and since then Adwait is growing strong. It has been only like 4 months and we have seen tremendous change in his game. Now nothing excites him more than Chess. Thank You Adarsh Sir. Your passion for the game and the loving way you teach is contagious. Looking forward for more tournaments to come.”

6. Parth Athavale

Parth is a 7 year old, 2nd grader from San Diego, California. He started playing chess around a year ago and is very passionate about the game. He looks forward to his class with coach Afinu every week and likes to participate in the practice session/tournaments. He also loves reading and karate. In his free time, he is usually reading a book or playing with Legos. “

7. Atharv Joshi

Atharv is a 6 year old enthusiastic and mischievous First Grader! His interests include Reading comics and any kid’s books he finds, Video games, Acting as the characters whatever he watched , Building Lego and Playing endlessly with his friends. His chess journey began as a way to improve his focus and attention, but soon it became his favorite. He enjoys playing the games and has consistently been improving because of his wonderful coach, ANIRUDHAN, who has so much patience with kids. Atharv is extremely motivated by PCA (Lichess) tournaments and practice games which helped him to understand the chess strategies and makes sincere efforts to rise up the rating ladder. He looks forward to becoming better at chess in the months and years to come! “

8. Sukrant Perla

Sukrant is 7 years old, and a second grader lives in Columbus, Ohio. He is an active and friendly boy. He started enjoying all games and loves playing chess. He joined PCA 10 months back and from there on he showed more interest in chess. 9. Mokshith Namburi

Mokshith is a 7year old and is in 2nd grade, when he was 5 years old, his mother taught him  how to play chess. He loves to play chess, soccer, tennis, and swimming too. We are really glad he is immersed and making progress in chess with the best support from the PCA team and the coach Ankush. Mr. Ankush guides him smartly with lots of tricks and encourages him to improve his chess skills.”

10. Anish Mohan

My son’s name is Anish Mohan!! He is in 3rd Grade. His favorite sports are Cricket and Baseball. His hobbies are doing Crafts, Reading Books, playing Legos, Riding bicycles with friends. His future Goal is to be a Doctor. He started learning chess from his dad when he was 6 years. He is more interested in playing chess. He is a hard worker. He is kind and friendly to everyone. 12. Advait Narayan Gandluri

Advait is nine years old and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He attends fourth grade at Pine Lake Preparatory school.  He loves playing chess, and his chess journey with PCA started a little over a year ago. Besides playing chess and being a bookworm, he enjoys playing drums, board games, and video games. “

13. Arjun Reddy Chittem

Arjun is a very friendly, energetic and fun loving kid. He took the initiative to learn chess when one of his friends gifted him the chess board. He spent most of his summer break learning and practicing chess on lichess. He loves to solve puzzles. His interest in learning chess made him super focused. He is working hard to improve his skills by implementing his coach instructions in his play regularly. He loves having Mr. Chirag as their coach. We thank Coach for his generous time and constant effort. He has been a fantastic and motivating coach. “

14. Tanmay Duvvuri 

Tanmay Duvvuri is in 3rd grade and lives in Cupertino ,CA. He loves reading Dogman books, playing with Legos and Minecraft and watching Star Wars movies. He has been learning Chess for the past 1 and 1/2 year. He loves solving “Mate in one” puzzles and playing games on Lichess with his friends. He loves to compile his own study notes on Lichess about the various moves he learned. Tanmay enjoys his classes with his coach Ms. Harshita. She gives him positive and constructive feedback and encourages him to apply all the techniques he learned. Thanks to his coach and PCA, he is slowly progressing from a novice to strong player. As his parents, we are so happy for all the support he gets from his coach and academy.

15. Aditya Saravanan

 Adiya born in Bengaluru and later moved to Florida when he was in Kindergarten. He is a smart and hardworking boy. He likes to play chess and also tennis. He is very good at studies. He loves more science experiments. He was selected in the school chess club. He likes to look at his mom and help her to clean the house. He always loves to eat different varieties of food. 16. Srinidhi Nagarajan

Srinidhi Nagarajan is a 12-year-old girl studying 6th grade at Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington, DE USA. Earlier, Srinidhi started to learn the basics from her mother, grandfather and slowly she expanded her skills playing with her cousins and friends.  Her curiosity in learning new moves in chess and trying to play the game with strategy made us approach a professional coach and that is where we were introduced with Premier Chess academy. Every time she goes to chess class, she enjoys it more and more. With professional guidance, she continued practicing in solving puzzles and participation in tournaments made her enhance and excel her skills and compete well with her peers in various activities that PCA conducts. Eshani is 11 years old, studying 6th grade and lives in Downingtown PA. She has great passion towards chess and reading. She is also getting trained in Martial arts taekwondo for her black belt. 20. Kauthik Dalai

Kauthik who has just turned 7 years this month is from Roanoke, Virginia. He joined PCA in the month of March and when he joined he knew nothing about chess other than the pieces and their names. He just joined because his younger brother was interested in learning to play chess with him. But today, he has developed tremendously. He surprises with new moves and can plan a game strategy. He wants to win each and every game he plays. Thanks to PCA and especially his coach OM Mishra for molding him with so much patience. Rather than calling him a coach he treats him as a friend. 22. Akshish

Akshish is 10 years old and studying 4th grade. He is passionate about Soccer and Badminton. He used to play chess with friends and family and showed interest in learning chess. Since joining PCA under the coaching of Piyush sir he is showing excellent progress and we are very happy parents about his growth in chess and the focus he is achieving which shows in his chess games. “

23. Aarush Mukherjee

Aarush is a bright 8th grader happy and fun loving who is very passionate in whatever he does. He is a very hard working, intelligent  and humble individual who puts his focus towards achieving something good, be it in studies or sports. His passion for Chess has brought him to PCA where he honed his skills as a Chess player and made commendable progress over a time. Reyaan, A 7 year old second grader from Fremont, California. This bright-eyed, ambitious Kid found his love for chess this year through Premier Chess Academy under vital guidance from his teacher Prajwal Gupta. 25. Kavya Mnagal

Parents feedback: Kavya is 6 years old studying in 1st grade. She was ready to take the trial class as his brother played chess. She liked it and decided to continue. I believe it is not an easy task to teach chess to kindergarten kids as it requires a lot of attention and patience. Kavya is able to apply concepts taught by her coach Raksha. 26. Ihyt

Ihyt has been very very curious and mischievous boy from childhood. His curious mind led him to stand victorious and unique in the class. He loves animals, Pokémon and Dinosaurs. His interest in Legos has led him to accomplish 18th are old kids Lego projects by himself. With chess being his recent passion, he has been desperate to learn it. He tried his best to take initiative and follow up the topics taught in session. Having a wonderful and patient coach with him made it more exciting. Everyday he is being challenged to learn more. Aadya is a 4th grader student  , living in Charlotte, North Carolina . She loves to help people and make friends. She started her interest in chess when she was in Grade 2 . 38. Anaya

Anaya is 5.5-year-old and just started her Kindergarten this September. She is a fun loving girl and likes to play chess since she was 4. Anyone comes to the house, she challenges him/her for chess no matter if she wins or loses but always puts an impression. She joined PCA six months back and loves the way Viswanath sir teaches her.  She has tremendously improved after joining PCA. Coach Mr. Viswanath not only helped her in her chess skills but also helped her to gain confidence time by time. He is her favorite teacher. Apart from chess Anaya likes to do skates, she has crossed Level 3 in skates and preparing for advanced level, she also loves swimming and dancing. She loves to play Legos and with her dolls (Elsa and Ana). She always enjoys playing chess with mom and dad. As parents, we are extremely thankful to coach Viswanath for all his efforts in improving Anaya’s games. Anaya is a shy girl and can lose confidence easily but Coach Viswanath encourages her to keep going and tells her winning is not always important, trying and learning is important.
