At Premier Chess Academy, we are thrilled to share the achievements of our brilliant students who have participated in various chess tournaments and events across the globe. Here are some of the highlights from the month of October 2023

NORTH AMERICA

  • Ayansh Tata competed in the Bloomington Indiana Scholastic Chess Club and won the first rank with 4 points. He dominated the tournament with his powerful and accurate play and defeated many strong opponents. His coach, Priyanka Sharma, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.
  • Rishaan Gangumalla participated in the Floris Chess Event and secured the third rank with 2.5 out of 3 points. He impressed everyone with his elegant and graceful play and his confidence on the board. His coach, Rajat Malik, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.

  • Vihaan joined the Kid Us Classic 2023 and secured the second rank with 4.5 out of 5 points. He displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in his games and handled the pressure well. His coach, Harry Khurana, complimented him for his outstanding result and motivated him to continue his chess journey.
  • Saikavin competed in the Chess Emporium’s Friday Event and won the champion title with 3 out of 3 points. He played with great skill and determination and overcame many challenges. His coach, Ashutosh, was very impressed by him and his result.

  • Rishaan Reddy Gangumalla participated in the McNair Chess Tournament and secured the second rank in the event. He impressed everyone with his sharp and aggressive play style and his confidence on the board. His coach, Rajat Malik, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

  • Anay competed in the Kings of Chess- USCF event and secured the second position in the event. He played with great skill and determination and overcame many tough opponents. His coach, Baivab Mishra, was very proud of him and his achievement.

  • Skanda Srinivasan participated in the Mission Chess Tournament and won the first place with 3.5 out of 4 points. He impressed everyone with his powerful and accurate play and his confidence on the board. His coach, Harry Khurana, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

  • Rehan joined the KU500 Category Little masters October tournament 2023 and secured the third place with 1.5 out of 3 points. He displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in his games and handled the pressure well. His coach, Anshul Bathla, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.

  • Vishwa played in the Columbustamilsangam Chess Tournament 2023 – Junior singles (u-12 category) and won the champion title with a perfect score of 4 out of 4 points. He dominated the tournament with his brilliant and flawless play. His coach, Danish Pathania, was very impressed by him and his result.

  • Advaith competed in the Ganesh Utsav Chess Tournament (U-11 Category) and secured the second place with 6 out of 7 points. He played with great skill and determination and overcame many tough opponents. His coach, Danish Pathania, was very proud of him and his achievement.

  • Shravan participated in the OMAHA CHESS COMMUNITY TOURNAMENT, held at Lincoln, and secured the second place with 3.5 out of 4 points. He impressed everyone with his elegant and graceful play and his confidence on the board. His coach, Venkat Ramana Ramesh, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.

  • Darshvardhan Singh joined the Little master chess tournament and won the champion title in the K-3 U500 Category. He displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in his games and handled the pressure well. His coach, Tejas Arora, complimented him for his outstanding result and motivated him to continue his chess journey.

  • Abhiraj played in the Summit Chess Club National Chess Day 2023 Scholastic Tournament and secured the fourth rank in the event. He showed great enthusiasm and passion for chess and learned a lot from the tournament. His coach, Ashish Patanaik, was very proud of him and his achievement.

  • Krish competed in the SIT & GO CHESSKIDDO TOURNAMENT and secured the second place with 3 out of 4 points. He played with great skill and poise and showed his maturity on the board. His coach, Piyush Khurana, was very pleased with him and his performance.

  • Mihir Kolpuru participated in the Quad tournament organized by west coast chess alliance and secured the second place with a perfect score of 3 out of 3 points. He dominated the tournament with his powerful and accurate play and defeated many strong opponents. His coach, Prajwal Gupta, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

  • Sanjit & Thiya joined the Halloween Scholastic Chess Tournament and performed well in their respective categories. Sanjit was ranked third in Below 600 USCF and Thiya was ranked sixth in Below 300 USCF. They both displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in their games and handled the pressure well. Their coaches were very impressed by them and their results.
  • Eshwar Nair played in the sunrise classic scholastic chess tournament and secured the ninth place with 3 out of 4 points. He impressed everyone with his sharp and aggressive play style and his confidence on the board. His coach, Tigmanshu Dave, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.


  • Diya Thoutem competed in the Fall Scholastic Chess Tournament and won the first place in the event. She played with great skill and enthusiasm and showed her love for chess. Her coach, Aakash Tiwari, appreciated her for her effort and improvement.

  • Sriyan participated in the Charlotte Chess Center and secured the second place with 3 out of 4 points. He displayed excellent knowledge and understanding of chess and applied it well in his games. His coach, Rinku Jain, complimented him for his outstanding result and motivated him to continue his chess journey.

INDIA 

  • Dharanish competed in the Kanchipuram Taluk Level Children’s Chess Tournament and won the first rank in the event. He played with great skill and enthusiasm and showed his love for chess. His coach, Tushar Sharma, appreciated him for his effort and improvement.

  • Divya participated in the Kanchipuram Taluk Level Children’s Chess Tournament and secured the ninth rank in the event. She impressed everyone with her elegant and graceful play and her confidence on the board. Her coach, Tushar Sharma, complimented her for her outstanding result and motivated her to continue her chess journey.

  • Jagannath Kiran joined the U-10 category, Trivandrum District Chess In School Individual Chess Championship and secured the fifth position with 5 out of 6 points. He displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in his games and handled the pressure well. His coach, Aniruddhan, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.

  • Aarush played in the S K finance open Chess tournament, Jaipur 2023 and won the champion title in the U-11 category with 4.5 out of 7 points. He showed great skill and determination and overcame many tough opponents. His coach, Vaibhav Sharma, was very proud of him and his achievement.

  • Anish K competed in the 1st International FIDE Rapid Rated Chess Tournament- 2023 Karur and secured the fifth place with 6 out of 9 points. He impressed everyone with his powerful and accurate play and his confidence on the board. His coach, Anshul Bathla, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

  • Dhruti competed in the State Open Chess Tournament and secured the second position in the event. She demonstrated strong strategic thinking and calculation abilities in her games and outplayed many tough opponents. Her coach, Baivab Mishra, applauded her for her hard work and dedication.

  • Abeer Agarwal participated in the Khelo chess tournament- U-15 category and won the first place in the event. He played with great skill and enthusiasm and showed his love for chess. His coach, AtamJeet Singh, appreciated him for his effort and improvement.

  • Ishita Singh joined the S F Championships, Uttarakhand 2023-24 and won the champion title in the U-13 Girls category with a perfect score of 3 out of 3 points. She impressed everyone with her elegant and graceful play and her confidence on the board. Her coach, Ankush Bhardwaj, complimented her for her outstanding result and motivated her to continue her chess journey.

  • Dharanish competed in the 2ND TN STATE LEVEL CHILDREN’S CHESS TOURNAMENT and secured the runner-up position in the event. He demonstrated strong strategic thinking and calculation abilities in his games and outplayed many tough opponents. His coach, Tushar Sharma, applauded him for his hard work and dedication.

  • Samridhi Revankar participated in the Open Rapid Chess Tournament and secured the second place with 5 out of 6 points. She impressed everyone with her powerful and accurate play and her confidence on the board. Her coach, Kunal Kumar, celebrated her success and praised her for her potential.

MIDDLE EAST

  • Vedesh from Muscat participated in the School Level Competition and became the champion in the U-10 category. He played with great poise and composure and showed his maturity on the board. His coach, Rinku Jain, was very pleased with him and his performance.

  • Sriiyukthaa from Oman joined the 1st Preparation Classic FIDE Tournament 2023 and scored 3 out of 7 points, defeating the top seed in the process. She also became the U-8 girls champion and increased her classical rating by more than 60 points. She displayed amazing talent and flair in her games and won many fans. Her coach, Soumyajit Das, was very happy for her and her accomplishment.

  • Sriiyukthaa from Oman also participated in the CBSE Oman Cluster 2023-24 and scored a perfect 6 out of 6 points. She and her team became the champions of the event and qualified for the nationals. She showed remarkable strength and depth in her games and outplayed many strong players. Her coach, Soumyajit Das, was very excited for her and her achievement.
  • Ilaan Shafeek from Oman competed in the Muscat Grand Mall Rapid Chess tournament 2023 and scored 3 out of 5 points. He was the youngest player of the event and showed great poise and composure on the board. His coach, Anshul Bathla, was very pleased with him and his performance.

  • Dahveed Sibi from Oman participated in the Grand Mall Boys Rapid Chess Championship 2023 and secured the second rank in the U-9 category with 3.5 out of 5 points. He displayed excellent tactical skills and creativity in his games and handled the pressure well. His coach, Anshul Bathla, congratulated him for his remarkable performance and encouraged him to keep up the good work.

  • Dahveed Sibi from Oman also joined the CBSE Oman Cluster chess Tournament 2023-24 and scored a perfect 5 out of 5 points, winning the gold for the first board. He and his team, Indian School Al Maabela Muscat, came second in the event and qualified for the nationals. He showed remarkable strength and depth in his games and outplayed many strong players. His coach, Anshul Bathla, was very excited for him and his achievement.

  • Hari from Oman played in the Muscat Inter School Chess tournament and won the first place with a perfect score of 5 out of 5 points. He dominated the tournament with his powerful and accurate play and defeated many strong opponents. His coach, Harry Khurana, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

  • Goutham Shraven from Oman competed in the Olive School, Intercampus chess championship and won the first place in the event. He played with great skill and determination and overcame many challenges. His coach, Kunal Kumar, was very impressed by him and his result.

  • Aradhy Roy from Oman participated in the 2nd ACE Saturday Night Blitz tournament and won the first place in the unrated category. He impressed everyone with his sharp and aggressive play style and his confidence on the board. His coach, Sarthak Dutta, celebrated his success and praised him for his potential.

 

  • Aradhy Roy from Oman joined the 3rd ACA Saturday Night Blitz Fide Rated Tournament and won the prize for Best Unrated player in the event. He played with great flair and finesse in his games and dazzled everyone with his moves. His coach, Shriram, was very happy for him and his accomplishment.

NEW ZEALAND

  • Rithwick Mahankali from New Zealand participated in the National Finals- Junior division and scored 5 out of 9 points. He received a certificate of excellence for his performance and showed great skill and poise on the board. His coach, Ramendra Ranjan, was very pleased with him and his performance.

We are very proud of these young chess champions who have brought laurels to our academy and their respective countries. We hope they continue to pursue their passion for chess and achieve greater heights in the future. We also thank their parents, teachers and friends for their support and encouragement. We look forward to celebrating more triumph tales of our students in the coming days.
