At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (December 2021) at Premier Chess Academy, Middle East!
1. Nakul Misrav
“We discovered the chess prowess of Nakul during the lockdown when he started playing with his brother who is himself an accomplished player. Soon he improved by leaps and bounds and now spends hours playing games and figuring out his moves. We can also see real improvement in his Analytical skills and Decision making abilities. His game has been further polished by his coach Baivab sir from PCA and under his direction we are sure that he will do his best. “

“Nakul is a very mature and talented kid in all respect. At such a young age, his attitude of accepting failure and also trying to learn from them is praise-worthy. He is a sincere and disciplined kid who usually doesn’t miss out on any practice session. He is a very fast learner and extremely passionate about playing chess. His performance in classes, speed of solving the puzzle, and approach towards handling the problem are absolutely remarkable. 2. Dhatri Hegde
“Dhatri is 7yrs old and is studying in primary 2.She was introduced to Chess at her school. Recently she has represented her school at the Singapore National U8 open tournaments. It was a great surprise for us because we did not know she loves playing Chess. She is an independent learner, I saw her practicing Chess with a computer using Chesskid and Lichess many times. That’s when we felt she might like to study in a much organized way and joined the PCA. She loves Capturing opponent’s pieces. Last week, I was surprised when she explained how to trap the opponent with a small sacrifice of pawn and then attack the opponent. Besides Chess, she is learning the Indian classical dance form : Kathak. She likes to read Books, and watch TV. Above all, she is a chatterbox. Thanks to PCA and coach Arya Bhakta for their effort in training Dhatri. “

3. Mithra Nishad
“Mithra is 8years old and a Grade 3 student in Indian High School Dubai. She is a smart, hardworking, enthusiastic girl and always excels in her studies. She has a vivid interest in reading, dancing, singing, games and art work. Upon seeing her interest in Chess we decided to put her for professional training with PCA. Blessed with excellent guidance and support from her coach Mr. Ankush, she quickly settled in and learned the basics in a short time. She likes to attend practice sessions, solve puzzles and take Chess as a passion now to improve focus, concentration and face new challenges. We are thankful to Mr. Ankush for his efforts and support in her successful journey and becoming a great Chess player. “

4. Ada Khan
” Ada is a 7 year old child and studying in 2nd grade. She is very good at curriculum and has won many prizes in several competitions. She is also very fond of indoor games and was developing the interest to learn chess but unfortunately both of her parents are not good at chess. One of their friends introduced me to this platform and she has learned it very fast and now she is able on her own. Thanks to her coach Mr.Akash for being supportive and teaching various techniques of the game in a short time. “

“Ada is learning chess with a lot of enthusiasm and interest and also she is working hard towards improving her skills. She is very fond of challenges and likes to solve combinations on different topics which helps her in the games. She has learned from past champions by seeing their games and combinations and since then she has shown good progress. Also after losing she analyzes the game so she does not repeat the same mistakes. 5. Aaranyak Satheesh
” Aaranyak is 9 years old and a Grade 4 student of Smart Indian school Kuwait . On observing his interest in chess, we enrolled him with PCA this year itself. Since joining PCA, he has been regularly practicing chess. His interest and knowledge of the game has grown under the guidance of his coach Mr. Afinu. We would like to thank his coach Mr. Afinu for making him eligible to be a part of star kid of the month December. “

6. Sidh Ashish Dalmia
“Sidh is 9 years old and living in Dubai. He is a very disciplined and responsible child for his age. He has a good grasping power and always thinks out of the box and asks a lot many questions unless he gets convinced. He loves playing cricket, piano and of course Chess. He aspires to be a scientist, has really learned Chess well and whole credit goes to Pushkar Sir for the same. “

7. Steve Peter
“Steve Peter is 11 years old studying in Grade 5 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He showed interest in playing chess since grade 3. After joining PCA last year, he learnt the rules and strategies of playing chess professionally. We also noticed that it improved his memory and logical thinking skills. His other hobbies are drawing and cycling. “

8. Aidan Kurian Abraham
“Aidan Kurian Abraham is 10 years old and a Grade 5 student of Gulf Indian School in Kuwait. He is really passionate about Chess and really self-motivated. He enjoys playing football, games online, likes math etc. He has been into chess ever since he was young, he is really into playing chess and attending practice sessions. 9. Deekshitha. M
“Deekshitha. M is 8 years old, and a grade 3 student studying in The New Horizon school Bahrain. She is a very enthusiastic, self motivated and hardworking girl. She loves to dance and sing .She is promisingly good at abacus. Her relaxing play time was drawing, reading story books, playing badminton etc.. She has a very keen interest in learning challenging and new things. During covid -19 break she started playing chess with her friends and developed more interest towards the game. We came across the PCA on Facebook, and enrolled her in the academy. Her coach was Mr.Jeet Singh sir, who takes due care to improve her thinking skill along with concentration towards the game. She likes to solve a lot of different chess puzzles and learn new concepts to use them in her game. We have seen her progress towards the game improved a lot. I would like to mention special thanks to her coach Jeet sir for addressing their queries in a friendly and accommodating way and advising students according to their capabilities. 10. Roshan Rai
“Came to know about this academy through FB. First was confused should I join my son at the academy, is it genuine such a question was there. Then finally I decided to join my son to the academy. He was interested in chess but he did not know all the chess moves. After he joined, he improved a lot in chess. So I am very happy about this. Coach Harry of this academy is very good. He gives feedback to the children who are under his guidance, which improves children a lot, thank you Harry! “

11. Aarush Sudhir
“ Aarush is 10-year-old and he is a fifth-grade student at our own school in Dubai. He learned the basics of chess by himself and requested us to get a coach for him. Upon searching we heard about PCA academy and got Mr. Ruturaj as his coach Ruturaj gave him lots of support and he improved a lot under his coaching. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Ruturaj for his immense support and coaching. Apart from chess he is also interested in singing, playing keyboard and swimming. “Siddhant is 8 years old and a grade 3 student of DPS Sharjah school. He is a passionate and energetic child. He is a hardworking boy and is interested in swimming and reading etc. We saw his interest in chess and started searching for a good academy and then came to know about PCA. 13. Rania Shamsuri
“She is a Grade 6 student of Geniuses Knowledge International School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is intelligent, conscientious and loves to give a helping hand to others. Her interests include public speaking, Taekwondo and reading. She is a member of Rainbow Gavel Toastmasters club and has a green belt in Taekwondo. She and her sister Alesya have created an online chess club to teach Malaysian children in Saudi Arabia and Middle East. Her mission is to encourage and teach chess to other kids around the globe. She is passionate about Chess and it has become an integral part of her life now. She likes to attend the practice sessions and to solve puzzles. 14. Daksh Pravin Ghadi
“Daksh Pravin Ghadi is 9 years old and a grade 4 student of The Indian School in Bahrain. He is a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking boy. Who loves science and also, he is very much interested in drawing, sketching, painting and making crafts. He got interested in chess when he played a game with me (father). Then we decided to get professional assistance from PCA to improve his game furthermore. In the last three months with the academy I have seen a tremendous growth in his skill and I can see the remarkable changes in his game. Here I would like to mention a special thanks to Mr.Raunak sir for teaching chess and addressing his queries regarding the game in a unique way. “Karthik is an 11 year old studying with Bright Riders School, Abu Dhabi. He is a curious boy with an interest in drawing, reading and always likes to research new areas in particular about history, places and animal life. ” Prayan is 8 years of age and a Grade 3 student of Cambridge International School. He developed an interest in Chess while watching his older cousins play. “Sasath is 11 years old. He is a year 6 student at Richmond international school, Doha, Qatar. He likes basketball, riding and swimming. During the pandemic, he started chess classes at the Premier Chess Academy. From the first day, he got a very good, interesting coach named Sushant who molded him into an interesting chess player. 18. Prathiksha Praveen
“Prathiksha was interested in chess from age 4 when she saw the board and heard the concept. But PCA gave her the platform to excel in the game. Our Coach Sidharth is very patient and friendly which enables her to learn with interest and ask all doubts without hesitation. He makes the classes so much fun that she is now ready to miss all her other classes but not Chess Class. She wants to pursue a career in Chess and attend international tournaments representing the nation. All thanks to Mr. Sidharth in guiding and motivating to bring the best out of her. “

“Prathiksha is a very quick learner in chess. She understands and graphs things faster than her friends in class. Asks questions frequently and solves positions with ease. Her logical understanding is very good and she plays chess matches till the end without loss of enthusiasm. She always looks for games where her opponent is much stronger than her. She doesn’t mind losing but learns from mistakes and wants to perform better and better, which by the way is extremely hard for kids to do. She does it with ease. 19. Midhun Aarush
“Midhun Aarush is an eight-year-old, who resides in Kuwait. He is in grade three. He started up playing chess when he was seven years old. He entered the Premier Chess Academy in October 2021. He earned additional curiosity and enthusiasm about the game. Midhun feels satisfied with his coach Mr. Sarthak Dutta. His classes are so instructive, engaging, and participatory. He looks forward to his weekly chess lessons and day-to-day practice. We’ve seen substantial improvement in Midhun. - Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
- Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
- Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
