3. Kai Chia Yu Hao
” Kai is an 8 year old boy from Singapore currently studying in primary 3. He is a very active boy who loves moving and jumping around. Aside from chess, he enjoys swimming, badminton and coding too. We decided to sign him up for chess 5 months ago with no expectations hoping to just occupy him during this Covid period. But he surprised us! It started slow and steady. I was concerned it would be too boring for this active kid but he enjoyed every chess lesson/ practice and refused to skip any one of them. He regularly competes with his older siblings and easily trashes them. I am so happy to start him on the PCA journey. Coach Rajesh Nayak has been very encouraging, explaining that it takes time for the kid to develop the interest. And true enough, Kai’s interest has been growing! He derives satisfaction from slowly seeing his ratings go up. Recently, he even joined the chess club in school. Thank you Coach Rajesh and PCA for the encouragement and for this programs that we can do from the comfort of our home. “
Coach feedback on Kai :
” Kai is a quick learner who learns the concepts well & tries to implement them in his games. He learns from his mistakes & is quite interested to improve his skills. He used to participate in practice sessions with great enthusiasm & always has a positive mindset while playing games. He is currently growing his sharp tactical vision and good understanding for the game which will make him stand better. I wish him very good luck for his Chess Career…”

6. Seana Menezes
” Seana has always loved art, drama, gymnastics & board games. We enrolled her with Premier Chess Academy in Feb 2021 & she has loved playing chess ever since. From having 0 knowledge in chess to defeating her mom & giving her dad a very tough fight at chess was her achievement within 6 months. She enjoys her class tremendously. We are glad that she is becoming a skilled player & her next aim is defeating her dad at chess. I always wondered how a 6 year old would memorise & understand so many different movements & strategies used in playing chess online but I must say PCA has done an amazing job at it. I loved the way they broke down the learning cycle by using only a few pieces at first to checkmate & gradually increasing the pieces to teaching them openings, positions, strategies & endgames. The program is interactive and structured very well. I would also like to add that the coaches & the team are always so approachable, flexible & quick at reverting to all queries. A super-efficient team!! Siddharth Sir is very patient & explains every concept/rule in great detail to help kids progress to the next level. He is an excellent, fun & a pleasant coach. Seana always looks forward to her next lesson. Thank you Sir for putting in so much dedication & passion into your students chess growth. A great experience with Siddharth Sir as coach!! “
