At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advise, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.

Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (August 2022) at Premier Chess Academy, India!

1. Taksh Dipakkumar Agrawal

Taksh is a 9 years old boy. He lives in Kuwait right now. He started to play chess in May, 2021 and Continue playing chess with premier academy from November 2021.He also plays chess with his father, sister and friends. He attends all the tournaments. He learns more and more from every single game. He also likes to play badminton and Cricket. He is also going to karate classes and giving his best .Our special thanks to his coach Anshul Sir and PCA for your great efforts they put in for my Taksh. “

Taksh is a very energetic and sharp boy. His attitude towards problems is very unique. At the back of his mind, he keeps on thinking about the problem and tries to solve it till the end and most of the time ends up finding the solution. He is very good at grasping concepts and applies them in his games. I have great hope for Taksh, that he will soon achieve many more titles , this one is just a starter! My best wishes and support are always with him…!!

2. Pearl Dagar

Pearl completed 7 years last month studying in 3rd grade. Pearl started her chess journey in November of last year through PCA. Honestly pearl used to face focus issues as she could not concentrate. It was a matter of concern for us. Pearl was quite an introvert also but chess sorted out all the problems. She loved to play chess.it definitely built her confidence, determination and helped to make a phenomenal personality. The journey of chess is going on. We never push her for chess practice or the tournaments. Sometimes she does practice and play tournaments and sometimes she cancels everything. We always prefer her choice because the burden of anything always works as a spoiler to childhood chess is like a mental exercise to us, it worked as a booster for her. We thank the coaches of PCA also for their dedication towards their students. Chess is like a stress buster for Pearl as she always enjoys it. We are really happy to introduce chess to her beautiful childhood memories that would count as a moment in her lifelong journey. “

Pearl is always a curious and enthusiastic kid. Initially, she was upset when she lost some games but after that, she did hard work and learned fast. She is a disciplined, sincere, and hard-working girl who never misses practice sessions or classes. Pearl is a quick learner & fast girl who learns the concepts well & tries to implement them in her games. She participates in practice sessions with great effort & always has a positive mindset while playing games. I wish her very good luck with her Chess Career and keep it up. Keep it up Pearl! “

3. P. Sai Vedvyas

P. Sai Vedvyas is studying in VII Grade and he is 11 years years old. He joined PCA almost a year back and from then onwards he is continuously improving in Chess and Liches ratings also to mention one more thing this helped his studies as well. Vedvyas is always energetic and enthusiastic to learn new things like Chess and Rubik’s cube(3X3,2X2,4X4). He is much more interested in Chess, always ready to take challenges to play in Liches and other sites. I Would like to thank Narendiran Sir for continuous support and guidance. Vedvyas enjoys playing chess and hopes to see PCA help him to reach his goals. “

Vedvyas was very active in every theory class. He’s very punctual. He always tries to play every practice tournament in a week. 4. Ajaay Akaash A

Ajaay Akaash is a Grade 6 student studying at KC High International School, Chennai. He loves to play chess from a very young age. Playing chess is his priority and it gives him immense pleasure and satisfaction. He likes to solve chess puzzles and learn the various techniques involved in them. He also watches chess tutor videos to learn about the famous moves played by the Grandmasters in various tournaments. When he decided to take his playing skills to the next level, Premier Chess Academy and his coach Mr Nihal Mulla helped him to sharpen them. Their dedication and support to the children is a valuable resource. We are looking forward to seeing Ajaay excel in the game he loves the most.”

5. Srijit Ghosh

Srijit is from Kolkata. He is very fond of music, playing Guitar, Recitation and acting. He loves playing roles in short films and participating in TV quiz contests. He had also participated in one of the popular Bengali Zee TV shows called Dadagiri hosted by Sourav Ganguly. Srijit is also very much fond of Solving Rubik’s Cubes. He can solve 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, 6×6 and 10 different types of cubes. He has participated in various cubing competitions and won several prizes. Srijit likes to read story books. His passion for Rubik Cubes encouraged him to explore Chess and he started solving chess puzzles of his own and playing and learning from YouTube before joining PCA. “

Srijit is a talented and quick learner child. He has good knowledge of various chess concepts and is always interested in learning new things about the game. He is always active in class and takes part in all discussions. He also plays quite well for his age and is capable of defeating strong players.”

6. Hitarth

Hitarth, he is 7 year old, he is studying in 3rd class. He lives in Ramganjmandi Kota Rajasthan. His hobbies are karate, singing and playing harmonium. His favorite subject is Math and favorite dish is Pav bhaji made by her mother. We really appreciate the way Raunak sir teaches him with love and support. Hitarth has improved a lot due to Raunak sir. Class handouts are really helpful for him to revise the topics. I pray to god Hitarth to achieve more success under the guidance of Raunak sir. “Thanks.

7. Yashashwin

Yashashwin is 7-year-old from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh and is in 2nd class. He always loves learning new things and is a charming kid, who loves to play Chess, Basketball and watch superheroes movies. He is very passionate about playing chess and for him each pieces are like superheroes with different powers that to be use wisely to beat the others. He joined Premier Chess Academy 3 months back and enjoying playing chess in PCA. Very much thanks to Sarthak sir for mentoring him. Now Yashashwin is sharpening his skills under his guidance. 8. Ahad Khan

Our Son Ahad Khan is 09 Years Old , he is in Grade 4 . We joined him in PCA 4 months prior and can see serious improvement and interest in Chess, also we encourage him to practice the same in his free time as well. Ahad loves cracking puzzles, riddles , plays games & tournaments and spends his time surfing the internet for new discoveries & inventions. He is a big fan of Elon Musk and has great interest in space programs. Moreover, he likes his chess coach Shahid Sir a lot and talks about him all the time. We as parents are very happy with his performance and would like to express our gratitude and special appreciations to his coach. Great job Sir, you are motivation and inspiration to Ahad like students and he is lucky to have you as coach. Thank You “

9. Aditya Marnad

Aditya is a 10-year-old from Bangalore. He had a love for chess but it multiplied many folds after joining PCA. He looks forward to his practice sessions and rarely misses them. He loves his weekly coaching session with Sushant sir so much that we have to move our other plans to ensure he attends them. He loves winning, however they come and hate losing, how good the opponent is. This is something he is working on. Overall, a great experience and learning curve since joining PCA. “

10. Roshan Inder Anand

Roshan is a 6 years old boy who is a student of class 1. He is kind-hearted, loves adventure, full of love and is always ready to share his stuff. He is enjoying learning chess and joins daily in the practice sessions. He likes to play chess on board with his brother. Chess has become his favorite indoor game. Whenever he gets free time either he plays chess or reads books or watches videos of his choice. He is a yellow belt holder in karate and is also learning the keyboard. He is good at academics. His class teacher says that he grasps new concepts very well and he also doesn’t take any nonsense in class from other students. He completes his work on time. He is an Avengers fan and likes Superman in it. He always likes to explore new things. He looks forward to going to the park and playing with his friends. He loves his family. He admires his chess coach Mr. Tushar Sharma because he plays with him and guides him during the games. He follows his coach’s instructions and whatever he has learned in class he tries to bring into the practice session. Thanks, coach, for explaining Roshan in simple language so that he can understand better. “

Roshan recently joined PCA. He already had a great deal of curiosity about chess. In addition to knowing the basics when he joined, he now thinks like a person who is an advanced player already. Playing games and learning are two of his favorite things to do. He tries to understand the topic well. Whenever he solves a puzzle he asks for a 1000 times harder one, which shows eagerness and passion to learn chess. He takes both the results win and loses positively and focuses on playing better and better. I am amazed with his improvement till now and expect to extend the same thing forward. 11. Fadiya Sahil

She is 8 years old and studying in grade 3. She is from Kerala. Fadiya loves Dancing Art craft and off course love to play chess. She is also a budding tennis player. “

Selection Criteria – August 2022: 

  • Regular in class and practice sessions.
  • Displaying improvement in practices to reach top 3 positions.
  • Puzzle solving and tactics findings in regular class.
  • Generate quest in chess and regular in assignments.
  • Over all – Passion is evident in class, practices, puzzle solving etc.
