“At Premier Chess Academy (PCA), our vision is to transform kids into the world of chess & support them along the transition. Each and every kid at PCA deserves a special appreciation but we have shortlisted (selection criteria below) the students. Friendly advice, “for student’s those who didn’t make it through – you will make it one day and for those who are the stars of the month – continue the practice as your bar goes up”.
Here we go to recognize the stars of the month (November 2025) at Premier Chess Academy, North America (Canada & USA)!
1. Pranav Natarajan MS
“Pranav is an 8th grader from Toronto—an energetic, bright, and highly motivated young talent. What began four to five years ago as a casual interest in chess has evolved into a deep and disciplined passion. He approaches the game with thoughtful strategy, strong analytical skills, and a calm, composed mindset that reflects maturity well beyond his age. His resilience and intellectual curiosity consistently stand out, whether he is solving complex puzzles, taking on new challenges, or learning from difficult matches. The past two years have been particularly transformative in his chess development, driven by his dedication, countless hours of focused practice, and the structured tactical training he has received from his coach, Suvradeepta. Beyond chess, Pranav is an avid soccer player who trains with a local Toronto club. He also enjoys swimming and playing the drums. Academically, he ranks among the top performers in his grade and is highly regarded by teachers and peers alike for his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and well-rounded character.”
Coach feedback on Pranav:
“Pranav is a great boy, and persistence towards his goals, he never backs down against tough players and always likes to fight till the end, this persistence is helping him to learn new skills and day by day he is improving his playing style. He is very talented, a quick learner and very good at chess puzzles and always surprises me with some innovative moves. He grasps the topic quickly and always tries to implement those learning in chess matches, with this consistency he definitely has a bright future in chess. Best wishes for him. Keep it up my CHAMP!”
